What I've done thus far and what I'm trying to accomplish with Affiliate Marketing....

So about a week ago I came here as a complete newbie. Not knowing where to start or what to do. That's when I cam across this warrior forum user who was circulating this PDF book around called "Fast Profit Blueprint" It was a free book so I told myself "What do I have to lose? I at least owe it to myself to try." I read through the first four pages of the book and followed the steps up until a certain part. These are the steps I have completed so far:

1 Opened a ClickBank Account
2. Created a user name
3. Found a product within the niche of e-business and eCommerce
4. I found a product that has a gravity of 20+, Avg %/sale: 50%+, Avg/sale $25.50

(I selected this product among others because it is based on what I am currently interested in learning. The product had a lot of compelling testimonials, a nice introduction video, graphics and landing page like the book suggest. I could have gone with weight lost or bow and arrow hunting but I felt it would be easier and more efficient to start off with something I am already interested in.)

5. I opened my Quora account as an internet marketer to answer questions and concerns of people who have questions about starting an online business at home and generating a 6 figure income.

So the author explains that you have to type: site:www.quora.com "niche/keyword" into the Google search bar in order for it to return searches of people who have posted their questions on the subject in the last hour to 24 hours on the site using the "Tools" section of google. The author explains this is a good way of finding out who has deeply disturbing concerns about a topic and answering their questions while leading them to the landing page of your product. He explains how you go from answering their question to leading them to the sales page but I'm not going to get into all of that now.

The question I have is:

1. Is there any way to do this for Facebook, Twitter or yahoo where people post plenty of questions?
2. Ultimately the goal is to find people who have a concern that you can remedy with your product or have them find you. How can I better use this method given in the book or find a better solution than the one the book is offering?
3. I guess ultimately what I'm asking is once i've choosen the niche I want to be in and the product where do I go from there?

I've tried:

site:www.quora.com "affiliate marketing"
site:www.quora.com "make money at home"

and about 20 others that are within the last hour to 24 hours like the book says. I'm even doing keyword research on some search terms right now

Sorry for being so long winded I have a lot on my mind that I have questions about.

With FB... you might be limited to post your responses, but if you wanna give a try, you can do this.

    Log in to FB
Do a general search on FB
In the results, you will see different posts, pages, groups that are related to your search term
Pick the posts that are relavant & see if you can respond to them

I don't know if you use the google search string, but above steps can get what you need per my understanding.

Quora is a really good place to start because people are spending their time trying to get help for a pressing problem. You can try Facebook groups...but I would focus on mastering one traffic source at a time as opposed to spreading yourself too thin. Also, sticking with Quora for a while you will build your rep over time and your will grow your traffic.

THe main thing is, you took action. Too many people get a course and then just buy another course and don't really do anything. You took action and that is how it's done in this biz.

    I hope this helps.

I suggest you start buiding your own traffic by buiding a list of prospects interested in your chosen niche. Build relationship and trust with them. You can share with them your best offers.

Julius, you're attempting to answer questions on a subject in which you're a self-confessed newbie. Additionally, the chances are that whoever authored the book you've been reading is just regurgitating second or third-hand information themselves. Starting off trying to make money online by advising others how to make money online is unlikely to meet with success.

Why not find a topic or niche you've got some experience in and see if you can help others less experienced? It's tempting to focus on the money when you're new to the game, but most people will see through any attempts to pass yourself off as something you're not. Be genuine and bring something of yourself to your business enterprise and you'll find others will respond positively.

What you say makes me think a bit. The reason why I have taken this particular angle is because I saw a product on clickbank that I really like. It was a product that teaches newbies how to make money with products on click bank. It had a pretty dope gravity and Avg rebill% so I figured it would be great to start off with that niche being that for the last 3 days I have been consuming information solely on affiliate marketing. I bought some video tutorials off of udemy that explain how to build a list and how to choose a profitable niche so I don't end up asking annoying questions on warrior forum. I was advised to start off with something I'm most passionate about. I figured it be that product. I did however see a health juice product and some interesting weight lost product. I'm not really interested in weight loss being that I have a fast metabolism and have been pretty slim my whole life, thus meaning I have never had a reason to take interest or read any thing about weight loss. I am a juice nut so maybe I will start with that product instead of a product about what I am literally trying to do.

Gravity is so easily manipulated on CB that using it as a selection criteria is a fool's errand. I'm not calling you a fool, since you are a confessed newbie and so many people want to make gravity important. Even if the stat is honestly earned, it says nothing about how it was earned, and therefore nothing about your chances of replicating it.

Since you are a "juice nut", that sounds like an excellent place to start. You actually have an interest, and some experience. Starting with a topic you already know about allows you to tap into the knowledge you already have.

"Fake it until you make it" is a tough game to play on Quora. There are so many bonafide experts there that you would quickly have been caught out. On the topic of juicing and the associated benefits, you are well positioned to become one of those experts.

If you decide to look for a juicing product on Clickbank, ignore gravity. Focus on the product itself and the sales page. If you can, buy the product so you can see how the vendor handles the transaction. If money is an issue, contact the vendor and ask for a review copy. There have been several excellent posts in the past regarding evaluating CB sales pages from the affiliate perspective. Use these to make yourself a checklist and evaluate the pages against it.

You may also want to consider creating your own product. It doesn't have to be massive, just useful. 10-20 pages of solid advice for $10 and you're on your way. With your own product, you can build your own lists (minimum, one for prospects and one for buyers). You can then offer them additional products, whether from CB or Amazon (or some other physical product seller) or your own creations.

This list-building isn't really possible with Clickbank, as CB is set up as the actual seller, and the buyer info belongs to them.
