Best traffic source of 2017/2018

Hello warriors,

This is my first post on the forum and I've been reading up on a couple different traffic sources for CPA offers. Now I would like to ask the question to fellow warriors, what is your favorite/highest converting traffic source for the past year and what would you say your number 1 tip for that traffic source is?

Thanks in advance!

Anthony

Keep your targeting tight. I use [Exact] match only.

PPC in all forms (solo ads, bing ads, adwords, facebook, etc). Just make sure you know your math, and that you have a long-term plan for recouping your initial losses. This could be in the form of high priced products, a coaching program, seminar, newsletter, catalog, a "grand offer" ($1,000-$3,000), etc.

Google and Facebook are always going to be the kings of traffic on the internet. If you know how to tap into them there is no limit to the amount of money you can make online.

One of the biggest ways that many people are making money online right now with Facebook is with Shopify.

There's this guy on the internet called Frank Hatchett and he has a really good course that goes into depth on how you can make this work.

  • Hi Anthony

Great question, and we have one thing in common, this is my first reply to anyone

The most effective thing that you can do to drive traffic is to first find out where your prospects and customers hang out on the internet, i.e. forums, boards, social groups, hashtags what have you. If I were you, I'd stack rank that traffic channels list in the highest to lowest order, sign up for an account on that forum (or say top 3 forums) and join the conversations already happening there. It may take a little bit of time to build traffic, but it will convert better than any Ads you can pay for (why? because conversion is all about how obsessed you are in helping your customers achieve their goals!). If there is ROI, definitely buy Ads on those forums and drive even more traffic.

    Hope that helps.

The highest converting traffic has come from picking excellent keywords and using Pay Per Click Bing Ads, and Google Adwords.

To drive traffic to affiliate / CPA offers, I mainly acquire email data.

Fresh / targeted 3rd party data, which is email leads of users that have shown an interest in a specific PPL niche or offer and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record of each user and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

Generate real-time Co-reg, which works by placing an ad for a specific PPL offer on a co-registration network and their publishers display it and can request more info about the offer. When a user requests more info, their contact info is automatically imported into your ESP account / campaign and they are sent a message regarding the offer. You pay on a per lead basis.

There is also rev-share data, which is basically 3rd party data (typically fresh / targeted) that you get for $0 upfront costs and you split the revenue generated from sending it with the data provider. Those that provide rev-share are typically just aggregating the data and aren't marketers and provide it to those that know how to monetize.

One important note is that I mainly promote PPL (pay per lead) offers on the frontend and the above works well for me and is what I've been doing for the past 17 years. However, it is not best suited for all verticals/offers and other more mainstream methods may work better bing, adwords, facebook, youtube, solo ads depending on what you are promoting.

Facebook in my opinion is pretty much dead. If you have an grandfather account maybe you'll be allowed some amount of advertising. But to have a twitter with 80,000 reaches in a day vs a Facebook with 2000 in a week, sums it up for me at least. ( good to have Facebook property pointing at domain with social signals I suppose lol)

What platform is going to be the best source for you is really going to be up to you and what you like, as well as what is relevant to your market/niche. It definitely varies. I have an adult niche with Crakrevenue and Tumblr is amazing! 10k followers just Beast mode. Then I have tutorials and SEO niche I have maybe 40 followers haha!

Pick 1 or 2 and master it, then move on to the others. Don't overwhelm yourself, being the jack of all trades wont cut it, gotta be the ace to get paid.

The numbers don't stack of with Twitter though and unless you're famous then, it's just a slagging ground and the amount of people who follow people against the interaction is pathetic. Facebook has a more engaging platform and is certainly a more viable option with regards to eyeballs and sales although the mindset of your normal Facebooker is not in the buying mode category.

Over time you'll learn that other people's best traffic sources won't necessarily be your best traffic sources.

Every offer is different. The timing of every offer is different. Marketplaces are different. Niche audiences are different. Conversions are different. So don't be surprised if you do far worse, or far better than those whose advice you are seeking! Nothing about marketing is one-size-fits all. Experiment, test, track, optimize and repeat until you find profitable campaigns.

Here is the key to your question: The very best source of traffic for you is the venue that has ready, willing, and able buyers that are looking for exactly what you are going to offer! Pretty simple really.

I know this isn't what you were hoping to hear ... but it's the truth.
