Hi WF,
I recently tried to sell one of my sites but it fell through.. I would like to knw if i could get more money by: -
selling the domain and the traffic rather than trying to sell the site itself if u knw what i mean?

My site financearticlesonline.com is a great domain but the site looks as tho it needs a makeover, i would like to knw if i focus on selling the domain which recieves about 4-700 UV every month rather than the site and its earnings could i get more money ? Thanks

    Why would someone pay you more money for the domain compared to the site itself?

    You are in a competitive niche with no backlinks. Actually a very hard way to go. I've tried a lot of these kind of article sites in the past but had little success.

    I hope you can sell it..

    Selling a domain by itself will definitely make it harder instead of easier for you to sell your website. You should focus potential buyers attention into the actual traffic hitting your site. Make sure you include google analytic reports and any other relevant traffic info you have. That will help the sale quite a bit.

    Ok thanks... I havnt got time or the money to get the site revamped unless anyone can do it really cheap ? I think this sites got potential... If anyone knws sum1 who can do good revamp let me knw... ? Thanks

    It is better you sell the site rather than the domain. Your traffic is a good selling point for you. Just try and increase the traffic and you will get a sale.

    Well, Daniel, you do have a point. If your domain name is getting a number of UV's every month, though 700 isn't a ton, you can sell the domain and allow them to perform a permanent 301 redirect from it. It allows the buyer to automatically claim this extra traffic, at least in the short term. I've done it and it can be a nice strategy to get traffic to a new site quickly.
