What you think will happen with online sales after banks and investment firms go under?

Just watched some news on tv and apparently AIG was bailed out but now Washington Mutual is in trouble. I think we will start to see more banks and firms come out and say they too are in trouble.

What you think will happen with your online sales in future? Will IM dispear? Is it doom and gloom and everyone will be homeless using rocks to make fire?

What is your opinion on the current state of events?

Edit: In relation to doing business online. Forget to add that for those that didn't get that is what I mean here.

    I think IM is one of the best businesses to be in now since we can react so quickly. I sell information . . . and I sell "just in time" content. I get many ideas for content from the headlines on Yahoo, the newspapers and magazine covers. Saving money is a great subject to write about now as is making money online . . .

    Someone said, "Every question is a product." There are many opportunities to serve those searching for answers with great information.

    Maybe we should start writing some ebooks about how people can get through the tough times ahead. And more people might start searching the internet for new ways to make some extra money. Look at how popular the ebooks are about running your car on water! It wasn't that long ago those products didn't even exist.

      Quit the worrying. Here's a little perspective for you.

        We had a lot of banks go under here in Japan in 1997-8. Lots of men in business suits jumping out of windows. And life goes on.

        We still have banks. They simply merged and became better. Adversity doesn't always spell doom and gloom, it usually leads to improvement.


        PS: Next Warrior I see moaning about recessions, doom and gloom, end of the world is being demoted. They'll lose their right to call themselves a Warrior and become a Weiner.

    Ok, I was just curious what others were thinking on this. I don't personally believe it is doom and gloom and that business in certain niches will actually improve.

    Maybe was mistake to post but I wanted to get others input on the events of late. We had similar happenings before and we got through with more abundance going on while the Doom and Gloom never really did happen except for those that Doom and Gloomed about it.

    Well I for one have never experienced a drop in sales whether the economy is good or bad, people spend the same money today that they did yesterday.

    The only drop in online sales I would like to see are actually many members of this forum who sell useless information to uneducated people.

    Maybe that's blasphemy to say here on the WF but there are a lot of members here who are misleading consumers the same way corporate america has been and I hope they suffer the same fate.
