Please Check My Work. Am I Doing This Right?

I want to make sure I am doing this correctly. I have selected key phrases for my website that I want My Website to be highly ranked for.

So let us say I want my website to be ranked for "Acne No More" and 8 other key phrases:

~ if I post articles to ezines etc I would use these key phrases in my anchor text box but NOT in the body of the article or title because I don't want these article directories such as ezine articles to outrank my website..

~ the links that I get from the authority of ezines and other sites would help to push my site up in the rankings for that keyword phrase even though I have only used that phrase once in the ezine bio box article as anchor text

~ if I am building a web 2.0 property I would want to use relevant phrases such as "acne be gone" in the title of the blog..but I would NOT use my exact key phrase "acne no more" in the title or throughout the blog because that site might outrank my website. But I would use the phrase I want to get indexed for as anchor text.

~ does it make sense to drive traffic to the articles or blogs that do not have the exact keyword phrase...does that give any boost to My Website that I am trying to rank for.

Thanks!

What I like to do, Is find a keyword phrase that is relatively easy to rank for but has a good search volume. Let' say "benzoyl peroxide acne treatment". I then post an article on my site called "benzoyl peroxide acne treatment", because the phrase can be used as an article title. In my Ezine bio box, I would wrtie something like: NAME is a ex acne sufferer and freelance writer. To learn more about benzoyl peroxide acne treatment, visit yoursite. Make sure to link the benzoyl peroxide acne treatment in link in your bio box to the related page. I.e. your benzoyl peroxide acne treatment onsite article

    hope this helps

and are you including your keyword and info about it in your ezine article?

I find that if I write an ezine article about the keyphrase it outranks my website even with some website backlinking.

      This shouldn't be a problem.

If you have 5 of your own articles rank on the first page of the serps and
your site is also on the front page then you effectively have 6 first page
      listings!

Just seems more likely that some one would click on one of your articles
and end up on your site any way.

So basicly the articles are doing what they were designed to do.

Hi There. Just something I noticed when looking at your post, I assume you site is about Acne, so you may want to stay awau from the keyword "acne be gone" Here are the google results for it: acne be gone - Google Search

Acne Be Gone is actually a video game and the top 10 listings are for that game, which may be difficult to rank for an actual acne site.

Creating 100's of press-release ranked on top of google aimed at your site, I think will make you more money than you think, if your articles out rank your site who cares.
Did you know I sold a gas station online a few weeks ago for 1.35 Million, using only a press-release and had 8000 hits very fast.
It's also true....that everyday people trust press-releases far more than personal websites. Most people outside of Internet Marketers think press-releases are from news sources.....sure we know the truth....but not the average joe. So think about it !!

Interesting and which press release services do you like?

Rod..."AcneNoMore" is not something I am trying to rank for. Used for illustrative purposes only
