Hi guys,

I'm running a few websites with different stuff. I'm using Paypal as my main payment processor, but I'm thinking of alternatives.

The main reason is that PP has a lot of negative feedback. I'm sure you've heard a stories with closing account with particularly no reason, money freeze and other stuff.

I'm not afraid of change, just not sure how customers will react to Skrill/Stripe or other payment processors, since Paypal is still the 'numero uno'.

Do you have experience with other than PP companies, that allow for easy accepting the payments via website? How your customers reacted to this?

Warm regards
V.

Most people only know paypal and do not want to open
another account with a company they don't know, that's
for sure. But Stripe is also not bad. I am with paypal
since 2004 and never had the account frozen! Just play
by their rules and transfer you money once or twice a day.

Yes, I don't even think about clients opening a new account with something new. I just hope they will simply use it when paying for product with CC/Debit card.

For me, if you don't offer Paypal you better have a good reason or I won't use my CC.

For example, I buy from a site that sells a lot of weapons and so can't use Paypal.

If you don't offer Paypal and don't have a good reason (as mentioned above) I will only buy if it's something I really want and can't get elsewhere. This is very rare.

IMO you are a fool to not offer Paypal if you are able.

Each of my sites accepts payments through Strip and Paypal.

On my Internet marketing sites Paypal far outweighs Stripe.

With my other sites it's a bit more balanced, but when I've tested things without Paypal I get people asking if it could be an option.

I've been using Paypal since 2004 and the only time I've had a problem was after my first big product launch, where they froze my account for a few hours.

After a phone call to them to find out why (anti-fraud measure), it was back to business.

If you're planning on doing a launch just give them a call a day or so before hand, so they will expect to see unusual activity on your account.

The chargeback that you are talking about took place mostly because of the credit card claims. So its not PayPal's fault entirely.

For alternative, you can add Stripe to your website. This can be nice addition offering more options to customers. People love website that offers them multiple options to pay.
