Need a way to deliver video and PDFs to coaching clients

Hi fellow warriors.

I'm starting a new, group coaching program and I need an affordable ($50 a month or under) way to deliver content to clients.

Content will consist of videos and PDF's.

I can send PDF's via email to clients. But, I need a way for them to be able to see videos without being able to share them, and without non-clients being able to view them.

I'm not a techie in any sense of the word so something user friendly would be perfect.

Not sure if I should add a membership area to my wordpress site, or use another platform.

    They can share the video files too if they wanted to.

    You can upload them to Youtube and make them private, and then embed them into your site with a membership plugin for content restriction.

      Thanks, Jim, but won't YouTube put ads on my videos? I don't want that. I'm thinking about uploading them to Google Drive and then sharing them with clients. It looks like I can make it so that people can't download them.

    YouTube won't put ads on your videos unless you sign up with Adsense. They don't do it automatically.

    You can also try a file sharing site like Dropbox. You can give access to your clients and share files, PDF's and videos that way. I use it all the time and it works great. You can get a free account and upgrade if you need more storage space.

    A third option is Screencast witch is a file and video sharing site by Techsmith. You can try a free account with them as well. I've used them a lot but prefer Dropbox now.

    I'm still looking into options. I won't be using Google Drive as it won't work with my branding. Dropbox is out for the same reason.

    So, I'm looking into other options.

    If you make them private, only people with the link can view them.

    Vimeo allows you to password-protect your videos. This will not, however prevent people from distributing the password.

    Personally I would host the videos myself on a WordPress site. I would make it accessible only to registered users. The login/security mechanism is part and parcel of WP so you don't have to do any work to enjoy the benefits. You just need to learn how to embed your own video. Here is a stub from one of my sites:

      Thank you Peter and Randall. I'm not technically inclined at all and have been looking for a simple solution.

      I'm seriously considering Ruzuku. It looks pretty simple to use and they even offer webinars and teleseminars which is something I'm sure I'll use at some point. So, it allows me room to grow. Plus I can offer payments on my programs which is a huge plus, because a lot of people don't like to pay all up front. And, they offer a nicely done forum for my clients to connect. Yes, I could just use facebook groups for that, but it's included so it's a nice extra.

      The drawbacks are it's on the spendy side ($83 a month for the plan I would need), and branding is limited to your logo and a pre-set color scheme. The branding bothers me, but right now it's more important to find a platform and get everything done and uploaded. Down the line I can always move to another platform if something better comes along.

      I'm still looking, but I've gone several pages deep into Google with as many search terms as I can think of, and I just haven't found anything else that's affordable with as many options as Ruzuku has.

    Start a membership site and hold all of your pdf's and videos there. Once someone has your content, in most cases there's not much you can do about it. You can secure the location of the file, and require a username and password.......... but once the actual file is in the customer's hand, there isn't much you can do about them sharing material with their friends and colleagues. Nature of the biz.
