Yes. YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and good ol Facebook. SEO is important in the long run and you should try to do your best with it, but these days you have to rely on other methods to drive traffic to your site.

    The quick answer is yes.

Traffic is everywhere, but you're asking yourself the wrong question.

What you should be asking yourself is WHERE does my ideal audience/customer hangout.

I agree with BradKasten when he mentions all those different sources, but you have to be strategic so you can maximize the traffic you're attracting to your website.

For example, if you're building a site specializing in video recording and editing techniques it make more sense for you to look for traffic on platforms like YouTube rather than say twitter.

Not to say you can't find some people on Twitter, but YouTube as a platform lends itself to having more people who would likely engage with the content on your website.

    Does that make sense?

Then once you know where to find people who would engage with your site, share content on those platforms to attract them back to your site.

Keep consistent with it and you're off to the races! Hope that helps

there is no such thing "best" traffic, what you'll be doing with your "targeted" traffic source matters. Without knowing your end goal, its hard to suggest you something.

It very much depends on your niche. If your niche is dump truck rentals, private jet charter, demolition services etc. traffic from Pintrest or Snapchat or any other social media traffic is not going to be any use to you. SEO and PPC traffic is needed.

SEO is the best option to get organic traffic. You can get traffic through Social media share. But if you stop sharing your post on the social media, you can't get traffic from there. It is the proper SEO, that helps you to get traffic automatically.

    Complete nonsense.

I would love to hear your theory on why you erroneously think that.

Yes SEO and Social Media is the best option to get organic traffic on website and generate leads on your website. In order to do so, follow Diversified Links Strategy:

    Quality Blog Submissions
    Edu Links Submissions
    Tier 2 Submissions
    Profile Links Submissions
    High DA/TF Blogs Submissions
    High RD Blogs Submissions
Social Media Submissions (Upto 32+ Websites)
Tier 2 Submissions of High DA Blogs
Social Media Submissions of High DA Blogs
    Press Release Submission (300+ websites)
Tier 2 Submissions of PR Links
Social Media Submissions of PR Links

    SEO EXECUTION STRATEGY:
    15% Main Keywords
40-45% LSI (8-10 Types of LSI)
    Rest - Naked URLs/Branded Names
    Drip Feed

TYPES OF ANCHOR TEXTS TO USE:

    Exact-Match
Anchor text is "exact match" if it includes a keyword that mirrors the page that is being linked to. For example: 'link building' linking to a page about link building.

    Partial-Match
Anchor text that includes a variation of the keyword on the linked-to page. For example: 'link building strategies' linking to a page about link building.

    Branded
A brand name used as anchor text. For example: 'BHW' linking to an article on the BHW Forum.

    Naked Link
A URL that is used as an anchor 'www.abcde.com' is a naked link anchor.

    Generic
A generic word or phrase that is used as the anchor. "Click here" or "Read more" is a common generic anchor.

    Images
Whenever an image is linked, Google will use the text contained in the image's alt attribute as the anchor text.

Hope that works for your website, improves google ranking and gets your organic traffic.

    Sincerely,
    Steve

SEO is great. But it isn't for everyone.

Unlike PPC, SEO takes time and your website needs to be of a certain quality (that you need to know) in order to rank. You'll never rank an opt in page, for example. But you can rank an in-depth blog post that funnels people to an opt in page.

Run out of budget on Facebook and your traffic dies. But if you're in say the insurance space, it's unlikely you'll get traffic on Day 1 from SEO, whereas Facebook you can.

Personally I have found the most success with SEO of any acquisition channel. Visitors trust the website more if they find it in the search results ranking high. But it needs a thought out strategy, constant monitoring and there is always more to do. A lot of mis/information that makes SEO confusing, sometimes more than it needs to be.

Both are subject to algorithm changes, pre-planning, adaptation and constant evolution.

In all seriousness, having a huge and bottomless marketing budget to buy traffic is the best option. Of course, few of us have that luxury.

A basic and sound SEO approach (without going overboard) is always suggested; but relying on organic traffic generally means slower results than paid traffic.

Of course, there is a downside to paid traffic - if you don't have a clue about what you're doing, you will see little success and run out of money very rapidly.

Seo is a good way. While I don't like stating anything is better than others, there are many different ways to drive traffic such as social media, ppc, ppv, Facebook ads, etc

SEO is definitely very important to get traffic on the website. Having said that, you must know that keyword stuffing, bad grammar and plagiarised content can actually have adverse affects on your website. Therefore, you must ensure that you get your SEO content written from a professional. Using content mart can help in this case. You can outsource your content to a professional freelance writer. This will ensure that you have the best quality and this can help in improving the ranking of your website. Once you do it, you are good for a long period of time. It is one of the best investments for your business that can fetch you long term results.

  • Yes, SEO is for sure one of the best options to get traffic to your website.

SEO takes time, but once started it will give you lots of traffic that too very targeted.

But you should always keep lots of efforts for getting traffic through SEO.

    1. Your blog post should be the best when compared to your competitors.
    2. Have proper site structure.
    3. Get SSL certificate to your site.
    4. Get good number of backlinks from high authority sites.

Doing all these will take time. But I am sure the efforts are worth keeping.

You can even go for other traffic sources like Facebook, Twitter, Quora, blog commenting etc along with working on SEO, so that you will not get the feeling that you are not getting any traffic.

I hope I answered your question.

If interested, I wrote an article how how to get more organic traffic to your website: http://businessandlifeonline.com/how...-your-website/

    All the best.
