I'm so frustrated I want to quit...

Everything seems so difficult and over my head. I'm trying to funnel hack so I purchased the product and screenshot each page of the product. When I go to Clickfunnels to make a sales funnel for the product, do I make it look like the product and then put the affiliate link it at the end of the funnel that I created? Everything is so confusing I hardly understand it. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Nathan,

Can't you go to Clickfunnels for some help? Just at first blush, I think you probably need to take a step back and learn about basic Internet Marketing before tackling an advanced tool like Clickfunnels.

Nathan is right. Technology will make you want to quit faster than anything else. Build up some momentum before you dive into it. Turn off the damn computer, grab a book on funnel building and DRAW a flowchart of your complete business model and marketing funnel with good old fashioned pen and paper. That way, you'll have a foundation to start from.

More than 20 years ago I was in the middle of the Operations Management program in college...all about flowcharting, continuous improvement, process engineering.

"Technology is glue," the head of the program told us. "Apply it last."

Try and make a model airplane by applying glue first. See what happens.

Follow this advice! Map it out on paper first. I do.

Then translate it into the tech. That's called "syntax", the way the thing gets done in the technology. Every tool has its own syntax, even a drill press (you gotta turn the wheel to lower the drill.)

And, yeah, echoing Bryan...you're always going to encounter frustration. At my day business we break systems all the time. Sometimes we don't find out about it for a week--the feedback loops can take awhile. In the meantime we lost data, got someone upset, we paid for something that didn't do anything for us. As above, so below. Whether you're making $100K a month or $1K, you feel the problems at the same level of frustration.

issues with CF is with them... and best advice... put that program aside

    Hi Nathan,

It can be tough to admit this, but oh so freeing: the tools do not net profits, but the skilled crafts person does. Or in clearer terms; when you spend a few years studying, practicing, creating, connecting and getting internet marketing fundamentals down cold, this product-related stuff is small potatoes, and never frustrates you.

Be a student of internet marketing. This is the starting point to building a solid foundation for your business. Sure you can check with Click Funnels support but the end game - building a thriving, successful business - can be attained through study, learning, practicing, creating helpful free value, and building bonds with top IMers.

It's the practice, not the purchases, that bring you success.

Several people did answer it. You just didn't like the answer they gave.

You're not having success because you lack experience and knowledge in basic Internet Marketing.

You can create the best funnel in the world using the best funnel creation tool in the universe, but if you don't know how to market, it's useless.

You can stack things in different ways, it's totally up to you - you might need to test different versions before you find something that works.

Normally, after they subscribe to your email list you'd deliver some high value content FIRST, then make a pitch at the end.

The pitch could be right inside the lead magnet, if you want it to be.

It could be at the end of a 4-day email series, if you want it to be.

It could even go the other way, and be there directly after they subscribe, in the form of a one time offer (OTO).

But it doesn't have to be.

The simple answer is; it's up to you.

Hey Nathan, I think your understanding on funnel hacking is in congruent with what you are trying to achieve.

Are you going to be selling your own products, or are you going to be promoting the product that you funnel hacked as an affiliate?

If you are going to sell your own product(s), then you model the funnel you have hacked with respect to the style, and messaging.

If you are going to sell the product as an affiliate, there is a video on YouTube by Miles Beckler on how to create an affiliate funnel using click funnels which is good.

    All the best.

So, you are announcing your frustration and quiting here? I would agree with Steve, you should address your issue to Clickfunnel.

taking your announcement in different manner then, quiting is not a solution specially in internet marketing. you have to master the basics, and then move to the next. always there is an exit plan of your frustration, just give yourself time to learn in order to earn.

    Bless you all,

Nathan when I first started internet marketing, I had those same questions and made the same mistakes you are making. You should ask yourself the following questions before you start.
    1. What is your marketing strategy (Selling stuff, or selling benefit of having said product or service)?
    2. Do you want the product or service you are marketing to have a positive impact on the end user?
    3. Is your marketing strategy congruent with your message?
    4. Are you consistent with your marketing strategy?

I would answer those questions before you invest hoards of time and money, because its easy to hit a target you can visualize.

This can be a frustrating industry with many ups and downs. There are many ways to make a funnel, what you menruined is one way and you should try it. With that being said you should also experiment with other ways. One of the largest things about finding success in this industry is testing and trial and error.

Nothing can substitute skill. You also need REAL traffic. I recommend learning how to build a responsive list first and that starts with knowing how to build a proper complete funnel. Don't forget that the lead comes before the sale. Usually, when people have problems making sales it is because they don't know how to generate leads FIRST. If you need help, I will help you at no cost for me to train you and I guarantee that you will be able to generate real leads or I will pay you.

My friend, take a deep breath.

    Take another one.

    Then another one.

All the most successful people here have been at it for years. Really - years.

Take it one day at a time.

Btw, build your own brand. You can market many more affiliate products that way.

I.e. Make the funnel look like your brand and present the affiliate product as a friendly recommendation.

    That. Is. All.

Click funnels is an advanced piece of machinery and has A LOT of features. Reach out to their support of you get stuck.

    Dive into their knowledge base.

Remember - one day at a time.

    Nathan,
    first, welcome to this forum.

Second, the first rule of any successful IMer is to never give up.
Don't be a quitter. Be a learner. Obstacles are opportunities to learn. So use them to push yourself further. You can't walk in the IM field?
Crawl ... until you can walk.
Then walk ... until you can run.

Frustrations will happen whether you make zero/mo or $10k/mo.
How you deal with those frustrations will determine how fast you will reach your goal - if at all.
If you give up at the sight of your first obstacle, then you won't achieve much. All posts in this thread outline the importance of experience, so use this opportunity to get some

... get some IM battle scars ... they will make you better at your IM game. Unfortunately there is no way around that.
So persevere, never give up, at least not this easily ...

Regarding Clickfunnels: did you go through their documentation and read the FM? maybe start there first ...

Do not use ClickFunnels if you find it difficult and not endorse it.

Use Sendlane or ActiveCampaign and focus more on building your funnels, copywriting then tech stuff.

    It's kind of simple:

Option #1. Give up. (Which means you won't accomplish your goal(s) unless you start again some time.)

Option #2. Keep persevering. (Which means that eventually ― if you keep going no matter what ― you will be successful.)

Many of the World's greatest Entrepreneurs have been where you are. The difference between them and the "also rans" is that they kept going.

As Orison Swett Marden ("An Iron Will") said: "Most people fail, not through lack of education or agreeable personal qualities ... But from lack of dogged determination. From lack of dauntless will."

Nothing is easy in this world, including IM. You have to study for it, work for it, qualify for it, and even then, you have to fight for it ...

Successful people don't just fall out of the sky. Most start with nothing, work their way up from the bottom, and work their tails off for decades to get to where they are.

      If possible get tech.

Someone cited what he learned 20 years ago: technology last or something. It's no longer applicable. In the last two decades, technology has been evolved significantly. Now, software is eating the world and technology is disrupting even age-old industries like food delivery and car service.

It will certainly save your butt whether you're in IM or not, and it's only becoming more and more in demand.

You can't make it big unless you know how Google or Facebook and their sites work (in and out). Once you master tech I'm sure you can produce plenty more ideas you can try. But whatever you do, don't be a victim. Entitled slackers get exactly what they deserve. Nothing!!

Based on your description, your understanding of creating a "funnel" looks like this:

    > Find a product and get an affiliate link.
    > Take screenshots of the vendor's funnel.
    > Duplicate that funnel in your software (ClickFunnels).
    > Substitute your affiliate link for the buy button.

    Am I close?

What happens when someone flows through your funnel (the copy), gets to the buy button and clicks it, and ends up back at the top of the funnel (the original)?

Without understanding how sales funnels actually work, and the affiliate's role in them, what you are trying to do would drive most people crazy. Like walking into an advanced calculus class before you learn algebra.

What you asked in your original post is for someone to take you by the hand and lead you through how to do something you aren't yet equipped to do.

Switching metaphors, it's like one of those TV dramas where a total layman has to do surgery on someone with only the real surgeon's voice over a radio.

You don't need to quit - yet. You just need to step back and fill in the basics.

You should really have just hung around here for another 3 months. I see you've just joined?

You need to study the IM subject and there is nowhere better than here.
It is a big subject with many twists and turns and with a disciplined approach to
researching on WF you'd find that everything would start to makes sense.

Just signing up for click funnels and picking an affiliate product is not the right
route to go in my humble opinion. The chances of success going that route are
pretty slim because there are so many variables and, as a relative newbie, how
are you going to know what is working at what isn't?

I would go back to square one if I were you.

Search the forum for beginners guides (there are some really great ones for free here)
Learn about the things you are going to need to know (need to know?....there was a free guide with that title ;0))
    1. Which business model?
    2. Getting traffic
    3. Researching a niche
    4. Building site (wordpress?)
    5.?
    6.?
    7.?
    and so on.

The people who simply rush at it, buying up WSO's and various 'schemes' have really just a small chance of success.

It is a big and confusing subject and you'll have to 'pay your dues' with work (actually tapping away at a keyboard isn't work...it's fun) finding out how you are going to make this work.

Working online like this isn't for everybody I'm afraid.

If you love the idea of doing this for a living...and you spend a lot of time researching and treating it like a career you'll have a lot better chance of success. If you're sure it IS for you then just keep at it.

    Good Luck
