What is best paid promotions for Fiverr gig?

Hello friends.

I'm level-1 seller on Fiverr and earned a little more than 400$ there, more than half of it in October, but after that sales go down, even though I've 100% 5 star ratings and more than 20 reviews. So I want to invest at least 100-200$ to promotions. I'm sure most of 2-level sellers use one or other ways to promote and not just Fiverr itself. But I don't know which ways are more cost effective, do any of you have some experience? By the way I've tried Fiverr gigs like "I promote your gig" and they all give you shit traffic, if any.

    Hi,
    some of the best promotions of Fiverr I have used are social bookmarking links to Youtube videos.


    If you have a video on Youtube use Fiver for backlinks and social bookmarks and you will often find that your Youtube video will be on the first page and depending on the competition it could easily be top of Google.

      I think the best method is to pay someone to recommend you to their audience.

      From what I was reading, paid advertising might not pay out at the end.

      When you are promoting your Fiverr gigs, you are also promoting Fiverr as a whole. You will spend money on advertising your gigs, but there is no guarantee that people will buy from you. There are hundreds of other sellers and thousands of similar gigs. People can easily search similar gigs and order from someone else.

      This won't happen of course if your service is the only one of that kind.

    I'm not a fiverr seller so I may be completely wrong. Why do people keep trying to promote their fiverr gigs?

    Last I heard Fiverr takes a 20% cut and makes you pay PayPal transaction fees for withdrawals on top of that. Why don't people set up a page (or get it done through a fiverr seller) and drive traffic to their own page and keep all of the money? Doesn't fiverr also show the visitors gigs similar to yours which could cost you sales? You could even monetize your page with affiliate offers that would interest you visitors.

      Fiverr now allows pricing higher $5

      Many people use Fiverr as a lead generator. Get them in for $25 and upsell them to your $500 service. It happens... quite a bit. It all depends on the service you're offering.

      First of all Fiverr can easily give you more than 100 click within few days, absolutely free. Second - Fiverr can guarantee people they can have their moneys back if they don't like something, so they more easy believe you. Third - most beginners don't know how effectively do all things you mentioned.

      Yes, and in my opinion this system is shitty for new sellers. They added statistic of "cancelled orders", but if someone make shitty order that is more than you described in the gig, or make order for the gig you promised him as a "free gift for buying other gig", then you can easily ruin your statistic by cancelling such an order.

      I didn't explain myself clearly in the above post.

      I wasn't saying people shouldn't sell on Fiverr. They ABSOLUTELY should. I also realize you can sell for more than $5 gigs. You do get great traffic for being on there and you definitely get sales there you wouldn't otherwise. It can also be a great place to get leads for further business. But, you get these benefits for just being on Fiverr whether you drive your own traffic there or not.

      I just don't think I would pay for advertising on other sites to drive traffic to my Fiverr gig and have to give Fiverr 20%+ of the sale, and have to wait for the payment. I would also worry about a potential customer seeing a different gig and buying from them instead, even though they clicked on an ad that I paid for to go to Fiverr. If I was going to pay for ads to get traffic it would be to my own site where I could possibly even get their email address for further advertising and find other ways to monetize the traffic.

      Just my opinion. I have been wrong before.
