Any methods on how to make money online with no start up cash? (on house arrest)

Hi guys, do you know of any methods on how to make money online with no start up cash ? I'm on house arrest and lost my job from it, I really need to start bringing in some income quick I have a 1 year old son that lives with me, I've been applying for endless jobs but the house arrest thing is getting in the way with me being accepted for another job. I have plenty of time on my hands to work any hours and such... Im definitely willing to implement and take action I just need some guidance on what works for no cash investment... Any advice or suggestions will be very appreciated... I'm ready to learn and take action or if possible work with someone and help in anyway that I can in order to make some cash.

- Also to add "I'm not a criminal" or nothing like that. I had my registered firearm that I didn't properly transport back from the gun range thats all, Where im living now, they are very strict on how you transport your firearm. The first time something like this has ever happened to me, my first time even getting into some type of trouble with the law.

Yes I can make money online and offline ( only at a job ) but i'm on house arrest, I have to let the home detention people know 2-3 days ahead of time if I have a interview scheduled. Lol I'm not a criminal, This is the first time something like this has happened, I had my registered firearm that I didn't properly transport back from the gun range thats all, Where im living now, they are very strict on how you transport your firearm.

Thats not an unworkable lead time. In fact for many interviews you will get more lead time than that.

The world is littered with people who tried to make some money writing etc. Bottom line is your one year old son. Getting a job from an interview scheduled 3 days in advance is much much much more likely than making any consequential income online.

Concentrate your efforts on what is likely not a long shot.

Hey, sorry to hear about your troubles, and I hope things start to turn around for you.

Do you have any online skills? If so you could try offering some sort of service on Fiverr or Upwork.

Along the same vein, there are always people looking for virtual assistants. It's not incredible pay, but you're able to work from home, and it's better than nothing. I'm not exactly sure where's the best place to find those types of jobs (possibly Upwork?), but a quick Google search should point you in the right direction.

    Good luck man.

I don't really have any specific online skills, I'm a quick learner and thinking about taking some online courses for graphic design even though I know it would take longer for that... Thank you for that suggestion, I'm gonna check out some virtual assistant training sites on google.

I don't know your background or experience, but many people offer services, which are often free to provide (no startup usually). Graphics, writing, programming, some other digital expertise, etc, can earn you a great living.

    Just brainstorming.
Fiverr.com - List any services you could provide, this can be very profitable.
Writing content - offer your services on various sites
HubPages - you can earn some money,...eventually

Besides freelance writing for others, you may want to consider Medium in addition. If you have some stories you have wrote, publish them there. You have the choice to make your writings available free to all to read or for members only (that's where you earn income). I think a combination of free/locked (members) content is the route to go so that you become established.

They recently launched their partner program for writers along with the member program. Things are just getting established but I see some writers are reporting some results - https://medium.com/search?q=medium%20partner%20program

First join at Medium.com to get a feel of things. Start following some publications/people/tags in the niches you are interested in to get a feel of things. See what others are doing and see what & who is popular. When you're ready then you can join the partner program at https://medium.com/creators . You can publish things on Medium before that though. If you have stuff from when you wrote as kid... publish it & let people know how old you were when you wrote it. A chronological release of your material may catch peoples interest as the community is made up of writers/readers. I see most successful writers there also network well on Medium as well... they're social.

You may consider publishing your stories in a collection to sell as book on Amazon (paperback & Kindle). Again I don't know what you have already wrote or the quality. Yes - you can promote books/websites on Medium as well.

I had created a thread a while back about guest posting (I should update it) but it does provide sources of sites/blogs that will pay you for writing - see https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...ernatives.html

If you've been writing stories randomly as a kid - that means you like writing! Getting paid on something you truly enjoy makes your work easier. I recommend doing all the above. Getting a regular job to provide cashflow until the writing "pays off" may be necessary as you likely realize.

I wish you the best & hope things start looking up for you.

I think freelancing may be the way to go - if you make submitting 'bids' a full time job for a couple weeks...you'd be amazed at the work you could have by the end of that time.

I've done it myself so know it's possible.

Also, go back through this forum and read your old threads - maybe one of those ideas or pieces of advice will give you an 'aha' moment.

You can try AUDIO transcripton work

    Listen to audio files

    Type out what you hear

Feed the text into software to edit it

Get paid 20 US cents per audio minute

It may not be much but if you have spare time, it's good enough for a lot of students

Whether you're a criminal or not has nothing to do with effective marketing strategies. Some people might gripe about the "i'm not a criminal" thing, so consider editing your post and removing all details about your current state right now. Just state your request, question, etc.... and we will help you.

Now, you should know that your question has been asked 1,000's of times here on WarriorForum. The search bar at the top of the page will be your best friend. Type in "how to make money online with no start up cash" in there, and you will see a TON of similar posts - with great answers to the question.

I disagree - it was an honest post and no reason to change anything. You can't rewrite reality to suit other people.

There are some offline businesses that have customer service agents who work from home - take a day or two and spend that time seriously looking into every possible opportunity for earning some money without leaving home.

Sorry to hear about your circumstance. I hope you can turn it around.

Starting with no capital can be very difficult.

If I were you I would start by looking for freelancing jobs for simple tasks such as link building, article writing, etc to raise some money. Once you get this going for a bit then maybe you could have some money saved to also try other things.

    My ideas are :
    - Learn something in which you have interest and start selling your service as a freelancer at marketplaces.
    - Print on demand is a good selection now if you are good in designing, you can apply free methods to get sales.
    - Create some high quality YouTube videos, monetize and make money.
    - Create a blog with rich contents, monetize and earn money.

The OP needs quick cash to sustain himself. What you're suggesting is hardly possible for him now because those tasks (i.e. high quality video, rich blog post) call for high-end skills that can't be developed overnight.

A better suggestion would be writing articles on firearms (instant cash). These kinds of content can't be produced by everyone, but they are high in demand and the pay is very well. He should contact the owners of those blogs and forums directly that deal with firearms and let them know his current circumstance and what he got (experience) for them. I think finding two or three such clients will resolve his problems.

Hi, if you can write well then try doing an ebook on a niche you know that can help to solve others' problem. List it in in Amazon Kindle to sell. Amazon will do free promotion and pay you decent royalty when someone buys it.. You never know you may hit bestseller and get some good money.

Seems like gun laws and guns in general is a hugely hot topic in our World.

Write a short e book on gun safety and then use it as a lead magnet. Build a List of subs who are interested in finding more info. on gun safety, laws, different types of guns etc..etc.. and write other e-books. Maybe make some videos of you shooting at range etc..etc..

Plenty of stuff right there. Think outside the box

Definitely patiently, persistently and diligently search for an offline job Lil P, only because the internet is a poor vehicle for making money online if that is your prime driver, and it is a wonderful vehicle for making money online 2-3 years from now, if you give 100% of your energy to learning a skill and rendering valuable service.

My niece is 15 months old. She is supported by her parents. But I know, watching her 2-3 days some weeks, overnight, etc, that if I had to support her before I became a full time pro blogger, no way I'd look in her eyes and feel that I could devote 100% of my effort to learning a skill and rendering useful service, and detach from money. No way you can do that with your 1 year old son.

Get a job my friend, and then, when you see those paychecks come in, start your online business from a detached, intelligent, abundant space.

Keep at it; those jobs will open up, even if you are on house arrest.

    All the best.

You have Numerous Options. Here are few of them:

    1) Start selling on Fiverr-whatever skills you have like writing content, designing, Logos, advice and tons' more. This is the best place to start when someone has no money at all.

    2) Start Reselling- You don't need any money to start reselling, just contact the suppliers for products and services, ask for resell price and then find buyers and sell them for profit. Few of the example things which you can resell are: Digital products or services etc.

And many many more. Earning online is a breeze if you know what you are doing.

You can do affiliate marketing with direct linking method. So by that way you will not need to invest to buy domain, hosting, auto response etc...You don't need to invest anything like that.

Just take your affiliate links then promote them to the social media, face book, instagram, Twitter, forum...

Trying to promote as much as you can. That's my advice!

  • You may want to give LeapForce a go. They do Google search quality ratings. Work at home under contract. Contracts are 6 months at a time. Back in 2015 when I worked for them it was $12 per hour. You have to be a self starter and burnout comes easy. You do a lot of learning on your own time too. But they pay on-time.

Very hard to do things online with no money. You are at least going to need some tools to run your business even if you are using free traffic.

Do you have any skills that you can market? If so you can go to sites such as Fiverr or Upwork and sell your talents. Once you start making some money then maybe you can expand to online marketing.

Graphic design, yes been using Photoshop for about 7 years, and am doing high end flyers, (also tried fonts) so yes, it is like trying to learn a foreign language, but it is worth it.

I have made almost $100 a month from that recently, although l do have almost 300 flyers on two graphics sites.

Although based on what my competitors are making, 600 should be enough for a basic wage.

Not easy though, l have helped others on Graphicriver, who are trying to get their flyers in, but are starting with little knowledge of Photoshop.

And Actions, Affects, brochures, etc all have the same profit to time ratio, so it all comes down to what you want to do.

I will stay with flyers since l have a time advantage over my competitors, and am fairly advanced.

But if you need some advise let me know...

Yes, a lot of suggestions here, most are long term, and some are baiting their sig links.

Creating a blog, takes months of hard work, and even with the best research behind you, there are no guarantees that it will make money.

Same with dropshipping, and affilaite marketing, and making a list, etc.

If you have no money and plenty of time then Fiverr and maybe Ebay are the places to start.

Ebay to sell of anything you are not using, (but it does take a good part of a day to setup).

And Fiverr, since they have their own traffic, and l have a lot of experience with them. Fiverr, offer anything you can, and that will bring in something.

But the two above are probably good for a few hundred a month, or some quick cash upfront?

I have been online for more than 9 years, and have tried the above ones, including Youtube, which is very hard to sell to your subscribers, thanks to changes.

You can also find successful video's and contact the person, (usually a kid that got lucky) and make an offer to send their traffic to your offer.

    Contact as in phoning them.

Yeah, I agree with a lot of the others here. You ought to try out for a stint as a virtual assistant. Sign up for sites like Upwork and Fiverr. Start out with jobs like data entry and blog writing. What's important is that you know how to use a computer. You can use the money to learn more skills just like what you previously mentioned.
