Cloudflare SSL certificate

Hi Guys,

My domain was bought through 1and1 internet, but I then changed my nameservers to my hosting company-Hostgator
This I thought meant that Hostgator now hosts my domain.

So Now I want a Free SSL certificate from Cloudflare, but they require me to change nameserver to theirs.

If I do this, won't I lose my wordpress site that is now hosted by Hostgator?

Broken promises don't upset me. I just think, why did they believe me?

      1. The worst ssl pack with them is $39!

      2. I paid for Whois privacy when I bought the domain and they don't use the privacy facility with their ssl's

No, you won't lose your Wordpress site.

If you change your nameservers to Cloudflare then you will be using their DNS.

You will then set up your domain's DNS with Cloudflare and point the A record to the IP of your Hostgator account.

Ok, I have changed my Nameservers to Cloudflare (takes 24 hours apparently)
      So what happens now?
My domain name is now under Cloudflare (is that correct) but my hosting is with whom, CF or Hostgator?
Also, what happens to SEO now, does Google penalise the change?
      It's all very complicated!
