New to Affiliate Marketing - Accountability group idea for newcomers

Hi. I'm new here and new to affiliate marketing. There was a lot in this space that was new to me (even though I've been around web and web development for years) so I'm guessing that's the same for others.

In a business FB group that I'm a member of, one guy talked about an Accountability Group that he is a member of. They meet (remotely) 3 times per week to show each other what they achieved (or not).

Sounds like an awesome idea, and a great way to get motivation to meet goals and learn new stuff. I'm interested to try something like this. Anyone else like the idea?

You joined this forum today - would be a good idea to learn your way around before trying to change it.

For example in the dropdown menus for 'forums' you'll see 'local events' - where you might be able to post asking for those who might be interested in a 'group effort'.

This entire forum is about helping marketers - new and experienced - get 'over hurdles'. If that FB business group sounded good - why not join it? There are many such groups on social media.

@Kay King fair points, wrong assumptions. Not trying to change anything here. Not a local event. Just a good idea (I think) that could work for me and some people in thie fotum. Not sure the benefit of negating threads that don't interest you

You might be right. It is clear from my post that I AM interested in helping myself, but like all good business idea, people join in when they see the same for themselves. This intervention and attempt to negate a thread is unfair to new posters.

Everyone has the right to read, ignore, post or not, and the right to 'thank' someone who suggested I'm trying to change the forum when that evidently was not the case. Anyway, I've edited the original post to make it more to the point.

I've seen these types of things before, sometimes called masterminds sometimes called something else. I think it's a great idea to hold ourselves accountable and also get some encouragement and see how others are doing.

That's what I thought when I heard it. I can see me gaining a lot from being held more accountable, so guessing others would benefit too. And with the right people, I can see it really helping someone who gets stuck.

The guy who posted about this said there were 10 people in his group. For me, I can imagine it working well with 3,4 or 5.

: Moderator gave no reason for his/her edit. I've rewritten post to ensure no negativity
I edited your post to remove the request that other WF members contact you or was it 'post here' - I forget - if they wanted to join a group. Nothing against accountability groups - but against solicitation.

Had your post read as it does now there would have been a different reaction. Rewriting a post after others have responded is...interesting.

    Welcome to the Warrior Forum...sincerely

    Hi mjd300
I'm new too on WF and certainly would not mind at all been part of an accountability groups of like minds.
I made a commitment to myself to know all I can about Affiliate Marketing ........and to take action (which has been my biggest obstacle right up to now) So, yes to an accountability group.

Sounds something like me! I have a lot of ideas, know a lot about internet stuff, less about affiliate marketing (but learning fast) and I have not taken enough big action or had any responsibility to do so.

Hopefully willl be other like-minded people. Question is where would be a good meeting place. I'm all for somewhere open but not public (so ideas and links can be shared without worry).
