Microsoft revealed that hot mail users password has leaked. It was done by hackers.

Got a Hot mail or Windows Live email address? You need to change your password, ASAP: a document of more than 10,000 addresses and matching passwords has been leaked online, meaning any user on that list has been left wide open to identity fraud.

BBC News has said it has seen a list of 10,028 Hot mail/MSN/Live emails with log-in details. Most are from Europe, and while they only begin with the letters A and B, it could merely be a small part of a longer list affecting many more people.

John,
Still amazed so many have fallen for various phishy attacks. As always best never clicking on a link in a email. Best going to your browser and entering the main site from there.
Also simple thing like usuing a unique password for all sites you access and change them regularly (I do this once a month). Finally I'd suggest using roboform that can securely remember all your passwords and to stop key loggers when using open WIFI.

  Unfortunately google announced today that many gmail accounts have also been hacked (along with some Yahoo accounts). So be careful with all online email accounts you use.

thanks for posting this. I heard about it on 6 o'clock news and promptly changed my passwords in all my accounts. Was going to post a warning in offtopic area.oh well nevermind.lol.

Thanks for the info. I have both hotmail & gmail accounts.

Time for a complete password change exercise on everything I access methinks.

What's really dangerous here is that most folks use the same password for everything so they're in extra danger from this.
