Who Is Interested In PDF Rebranding?
Is anyone interested in rebranding pdf files as a marketing technique, or has this become outdated? Just taking the temperature here.
I have some code lying around that I may be tempted to put back into service on a web site if this were something that interested anyone.
For those who are not familiar with the concept, first you create an ebook with some variables in it using Word or OpenOffice. You upload this ebook to a site which generates a pdf which you then distribute. People who receive the pdf can return to the site, insert their own links and generate a new pdf (the "rebranding" part) which they then distribute to their list. Of course your own links always stay in every version.
If done right a rebrandable pdf can go viral. Well-known marketers such as Jeff Walker have been known to use this technique effectively.
