You had a lot of posts in the last thread and one thing to be careful of is overload as there are hundreds way to make money online either through small business or online

I have always said to my students is pick one thing and get really good at it so you an make your own product to sell or teach others

You may get some very good responses and some that are just crap , you need to focus on a few things and that is make sure the tools you use are in good working order nothing worse when the computer/laptop is not working or the software has stopped or crashes always check saves a lot of pain later

    Hi Terrence,

I picked a niche I felt passionate about. I studied blogging. I practiced writing daily. I learned from top bloggers, created helpful content, built friendships by promoting top bloggers, and after backing these actions with the right energy, every day, for years, I created a neat life through blogging.

I think the beat thing at this point is to jump in and start doing. You can read and try to learn until the end of time but st some point you need to start doing.

I didn't try and sell anything.

For the past 17 years I've been mainly promoting PPL offers (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversions rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about

The best way is to practice and experiment. Only learning will not be enough. Approach some small clients and start doing internet marketing for them free of cost.

Steps? Read my 5000th post and you'll get the things you need. Write them down in plan language first, then translate them into the syntax of the platforms and apps you're using. Make sure it all makes sense...otherwise, you're chasing shiny objects.

What you will often see in this digital era are the social networking sites. E.g. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Before the your business start selling goods or services, you need to see if there is market in your place. So the first thing that will come to a businessman’s mind is to show off what they’ve got thru social medias. This will let your future customers to set their own expectation towards your products.
We are now in the perspective of having customers before the business start, but how? Should you hire a lot of personnel to propagate your Facebook page likes or Twitter followers? It will surely cost you a lot of money. Nowadays, SEO tools are now in the wild that uses link building and social media sites to help you grow your online business, personal blogs and social media networks. What people mostly recommend is the LinkCollider (An advanced tool to skyrocket your social media personal/business page.). It has a community that knows how to start their business by acquiring huge amount of audiences first.

Pick one thing and either be ready for hard work to crack code or hire some 1-To-1 coaching guy to guide you fast. First one takes time and later one fast...

Like it or not, the truth is going through life as a solo IMer with a just website or ebook is a pretty lousy way to go through life. Frankly, it’s sad, especially if you’re young and you're slugging it out in the dog-eat-dog digital marketing world since you have your whole life ahead of you.

Better get a marketable degree in an area that interests you and get a job in a great company or startup. It’s not a crime to build a career working for others, you know.

Start-ups are often strapped for cash. You might end up developing an expertise marketing something with the minimums. In addition, you’ll be exposed to all sorts of new opportunities and develop a solid network.

Unless you’re the rare exception, going the solopreneur route is just another way of biding your time, taking the path of least resistance, and following the crowd to nowhere good.
