New Website - what is recommended to get more traffic?

I recently opened up a new blog: http://groovedetector.com
It is about a month old, which means that as of now, I am not getting a lot of traffic.
I was wondering, besides SEO, what are some of your recommendations to bring in more traffic.
Should I use facebook ads, google ppc? Are there alternative organic/free ways to promote my site?
I am currently doing the SEO part of this blog by myself and I know that in seo results may appear only after a number of months, in the meantime I am looking for other ways to get more traffic. Would love to get some suggestions from others, thanks

    Hi Groove Detector,

congratulations on creating your music website!

One way you could get a lot of traffic all free is by uploading videos to Youtube.

Youtube get millions of visitors every day as you probably know.

So if you can upload something to Youtube with a link to your site I am sure you would get a lot of traffic.

It does not need to be a music video - you could discuss some of the groups that you have on your website and their qualities and why you like them.

The good thing about Youtube is that it is owned by Google so any Youtube video you upload will do well in the Google search engine - which helps to get even more traffic to your site.

    Hope this helps.

    Groove Detector,

There are a number of methods to get traffic to your blog. First of all you must be posting consistent value based content. Once you generate a new blog you should syndicate to your audience (email list, facebook, twitter, instagram..etc).

You should also go to other peoples blog and comment on their blog and encourage them to do the same with yours. There are some commenting groups out there that you can join to help with this.

I also recommend visiting Neil Patel's site (https://neilpatel.com/) he is a master at blogs and has many tips.

    Hope that helps!

I wouldn't jump into paid ads unless you already have a good sales funnel and calls to action in place.

SEO is not as simple as build a site with value based content on it.

You need to learn how to market and promote your content to put it in front of your target audience.

There is a search feature above with tons of threads already on this.

Congratulations for you new website. Making a website is not the end for business enhancement.
So you should start with ON- page optimization SEO techniques, then move on to OFF page techniques.

    Thanks
