I need your opinions about Ads, Adblock & Newsletter for my website.

Hello warriors,
I'm here at the very last moment before launching a new and promising website, however I still have some doubts about the decisions I took about Ads, Adblock & the newsletter system, that's why I need your opinions to take a final stand.

What the website is about :
SEO, Marketing Tools, SMM, Content Marketing, PPC, Freelance, Writing & Blogging etc.. but mainly focusing on SEO. I made every effort to give as much information as possible on every single article without exception, I wrote 2 well documented and illustrated ebooks to provide readers with something different than just reading on-site. I also decided to talk about "Black Hat" methods, but only to give some more natural and google-friendly alternatives..

I decided to :

-Use Adsense, I still yet have a feeling of hesitation, I never understood why the best part of websites speaking of SEO, never use Adsense, is discussing "Black Hat" methods just for informational purposes and with the only goal and intention to suggest natural and google-friendly alternatives, risky with Adsense?

-Put alternate Ads (affiliate marketing) for Adblock users, still not yet sure if it's a good idea. It's around 3/4 Ad spaces per page, however every article is more than 2500 words with more than 10 hours put in it from writing to photoshop for infographics, reports and images. I will also add a little link under the ads showing a page that explain the reason of using this Ads method. what do you think? If you're an adblock user, how would you react?

-When downloading an ebook, users are not asked to enter their email first or to receive the ebook by email, they can download it directly, only when they do, they get the choice to subscribe or not. Do you think it's a good idea?

I would really like to hear your viewpoint and sentiment about all of this.
Thanks.

I don't think its a good idea.. it is often said "The money is in the list" there is a reason for people to say that. By downloading your ebook.. you would then have a semi targeted ( they are interested in SEO ) list. You state you have 2 books... if the topics are separate enough I would keep each of the 2 lists separate so you can target offers a bit more direct to each audience.

    Hope that Helps!

Test both subscribe first and subscribe from within the book. I have several ebooks I use subscribe from the book which produces fewer but better-qualified subs.

Quality is more important than quantity.

SEO is not really my thing, but as far as the eBook, you should definitely ask for an email address. I get the whole give value and give stuff away for free, but you and giving something of value, at least they should give you an email address.

Another option for the ebooks is the Amazon Strategy.

Give them a sample (Amazon gives ~10% of the book) for free, then if they want the rest, they subscribe and get the whole thing. Make sure the sample has an opt-in offer within it.
