hosting several websites

I will be launching up to 12 different websites. These sites are just holding the domain and purpose is not to generate traffic. Is there cheap hosting you would recommend for that many websites?

Thank you

SiteGround is getting good reviews at the moment, but it doesn't really matter for the most part, they're all pretty much the same if you're just gonna host a few WP sites.

You'd probably want a reseller account or a VPS.

According to general consensus GoDaddy and EIG owned hosting companies are best avoided - I've also had lousy experiences with those.

See this page for a list of EIG companies. Cheap though, so they might actually be what you're after.

Not sure what you mean by "the sites are just to hold the domain." Are you actually building websites on these domains or not? If not, you can just "park" the domain at the registrar and don't need a host for that. The registrar will hold the domain for you.

    overtonis,

Why do you want to have 12 sites if you are not generating traffic or creating content? You don't need to have a website to hold a domain, you can just purchase it and hold on to it.

Can you just find a domain parking service instead of hosting for this?

ok I did bunch of research and what I found to be best deal is namecheap hostings. They have current deal of $19.88 for 1st year then it renewls at $79 year. This allows for up to 10 websites they will host. Was best price I could find for multi-domain hosting. Also, for clarification I was not looking to just park domain but install WP with just Header and contact information.

I'd advise to use plans from reliable hosting providers which cost not much and resources, I mean HostingSource.com and QHoster.com. They are able to satisfy all your needs, the OP.

I suggest that you use either HostGator or BlueHost and get an account with unlimited hosting. I use HostGator with a shared server account. The cost is about ten bucks a month for unlimited domains (as well as email accounts), but the catch is you need to pre-pay three years. It's a bit cheaper when you sign up.

    I hope this helps you!

You probably could have found something cheaper than Namecheap. All you needed was a basic shared hosting account that allows addon domains.

How much cheaper can I go? I signed up for 1 year for $19 at Namecheap for 12 websites hosting & 100 email accounts. That works out to $1.58 a month.

My bad. I thought you meant $19 per month. Yeah, that is right in line with a lot of hosting offers outside of overpriced providers like HostGator.

Lol, like $5.95 a month (year upfront) for multiple domain hosting is overpriced.

Buy 3 years upfront and it ends up being $2.75 per month.
