Yep, and then either spend time here learning about the Marketing end of things or align yourself with someone who already has done that, particularly if they have done it in the area of software marketing!!

I've been doing internet marketing and developing software for it, for over 17 years. However, without the knowledge I gained through actually doing the work there would be no software, as the software I built was directly related to improve some aspect of the marketing I was doing.

kind of a catch-22. If you don't know anything about internet marketing then it's going to be hard to develop a product for it.

I'm the same - a software engineer first and (trying to be) a marketer.

If you want to create apps and make some money, you have two options:
- get a business (marketing) person
- do it yourself

It's up to you to decide; me, I don't like to rely on other people.

Since you are a creator you can apply your knowledge to create tools for a certain niche in internet marketing, creators who know internet marketing will have an advantage. You can market your softwares or you can create softwares FOR marketing.

You have a specific and particular knowledge and skill set that give you an advantage over other people in your marketplace. So your question really becomes "How can I use what I know to serve an audience of people that will pay for something I can share?" You can be paid for creating and selling a product that will serve your audience, from sharing your knowledge and skill in software development, or in advising and consulting with clients that need what you know.

The choice is yours. My experience with a lot of new entrepreneurs is that creating and selling your own products is often the best path to a sustainable income because you control everything and are not relying on others to supply you with their products on their terms.

Thank you very much for your advice, i have thought much about that, but until now i haven't find an idea to develop a product to sell yet. i have strong skill in software development, but creating a product to sell is totally different. To create a product you need strong specific business skill, to sell a product you need marketing skill and i don't have these skills

  I've been developing software for...
  Never mind. I just calculated it, and you wouldn't believe me if I told you.
  
  When I finally got around to internet marketing, I had already owned my own IT consulting business for quite a few years, so I had the business skills - but I needed to work on my direct marketing skills.
  
  I solved that problem by getting involved as an affiliate marketer first, and didn't even try to create my first IM product until after I had about 5 years experience as an affiliate marketer.
  
  That might also be a good way for you to "get your feet wet". Spend time (as an affiliate) learning what tools you need to succeed - what can you automate to be a better affiliate marketer. If you create something of value to yourself - it will probably also be of value to others.
  
  Voila!! Your first IM product.

There are a number of ways you can use your knowledge. One you could create your own product. Survey some people and find out what they need help with then create a product around it.

You can also offer your services on sites such as Fiverr or Upwork.

I am a software developer, and let me tell you a secret, that is a MAJOR advantage in the MMO (make money online) niche. Write a SaaS or even a WordPress plugin that solves a marketers problem (page builder, pop up builder, social software etc.) .. List it on JVZoo and give 100% commissions on it so you can build an email list. After you have a few hundred emails on your lost .. boom your in the game my friend
