Want to start creating youtube videos, but havent got confidence and speaking skills

Hello,

I have business in particular niche and want to add youtube as traffic and branding source, but I haven't got confidence and ability to speak in videos.

I am not native english speaker and it would be very hard to speak without any spelling mistakes, without pauses. I already know what should I tell, all topics, step's, all info and so on, but it would be much easier just to write instead of talking.

I think there are many people who have the same problem, but they eliminated all issues and talking well in videos. But how?

What should I do ? Maybe write everything and read in front of camera? or maybe do the video in many parts.

Waiting your suggestions guys !

There are no spelling mistakes when speaking, unlike writing, and you can edit pauses out using video editing software.

I suggest you create the video in multiple shorter pieces, then put them together in you video editor.

The best way to get better is to keep making videos. Everyone improves with repetition.

thanks for help. You see, my videos would be showing some stuff on my laptop (trading charts) and explaining moves, examples and so on, so i need to speak and to show with cursor on my screen at the same time. I also thought about making many shorts clips and combine to one video ,but not sure how it would work and how would be the results, maybe i just need to try and see myself.

You could just pause the recording and take a break and come back and start where you left off.

Then do it. It will be time-consuming but if you learn from it, it's worth it. If you really need a voice-over, hire someone to do it.

You can use YT for promotion purposes too, give them a glimpse of what are the top features of your business. Give them the highlights. Don't add too much that it'll last more than 2 mins. Add your link in the description box for your viewers to learn more.

I get your point but the main things is that whatever you want to share in the videos it must informative and clear to the audience. Because without getting any information how they will reach you.

You seem pretty competent. Now all you need is confidence. It seems tough but most anything does when it is new. Best thing is to have a go at it without thinking on it too much

    Begin!

Start where you are with what you've got.

An example I like to point to is a now well-known photography expert who has been on YT a few years now. About a year back he shared the first video he shot...prior to choosing the branding he has today. He was slow, scared, shy. Fast forward to today and it's like he's a different person. If you didn't know the two vids were made by the same person you'd say, "No way!"

The way to do better at something is to get experience at it.

In the case of YT vids, you can shoot as many times as you like before you upload what you want.

You can read behind a slide.

You can read a sentence at a time, then splice them together.

You can take your time: it's not a FB Live and no one is watching.

Get experience, practice, and develop your skills. If you look at my 2016 videos versus my 2011 ones, you'll see a big difference...but that didn't stop me. Time will pass. Either you'll develop the skill or you'll be stuck wondering what might have been.

By some sources, short videos are most effective on YouTube. Animated graphic with words/sentences that pop-out can be used for starter video clips, with free music added even later in the Creator Studio within your YouTube channel editor. However, yes, as your audience and video production quality grows, it will be better if you can have a narrator talking in your videos. As someone already said, the sooner you start, the better you will become at what you are doing - so do not be scared to do it.

Honestly there will always be the first time but one thing is clear, people don't always judge you as you judge yourself and besides you have information that many people out there don't know. Get yourself up and put something out there and don't wait until your really hood, perfectionists are broke for a reason, people will judge you by the content you deliver not the fluent accent, the nice English. Focus on what really matters.

You know Les Brown? Before he became a world class speaker, he cannot even talk in front of the crown in his school without shaking and stuttering. He came to overcome it because he had a dream about being successful in that field. If you really want this, if this is what you really want to do. Do it anyway. You will surprise yourself of what you can achieve that you thought you cannot do before.

Then do not record your face. Keep a script handy and use either a slideshow or a screen recording with your voiceover.. If you have a written script then it will help and you wont be showing anyone that you are reading.

A Very good point you have put across.
You need to get comfortable in front of the camera.
Don't worry about what you have to say. Just talk about anything and record it every day for the NEXT 30 DAYS.
Make a promise to yourself that you will follow through this and do it without thinking twice.
By recording videos for 30 days you will become more confident and of course, you will have more thing to talk about.
    I hope this helps.
30 to 90 video challenge is the best way to become an expert in front of a camera.

Record videos offline. No worries, as nobody will see them.

Then, keep recording videos offline, practicing your presentation skills, and you will gain confidence and clarity in yourself.

Publish your first video and from there things will get easier. Dive into your fears. It is tough at first, but in time, you will become confident, even if English is your second language.

Practicing offline will give you confidence but there is not teacher like hitting the Publish button and gaining experience in a public setting.

    naiown,

I have a few suggestions for you...

You can start by using slides and talking over then while recording. You can us sreen-cast-o-matic or zoom (both free). You can make up slides with powerpoint of Google docs.

But ultimately you want to get your face on camera. That way people will know, like & trust you. I suggest you find a group that is doing a 30 day video challenge and do their 30 day challenge to help you get comfortable on camera.

Don't worry, we all sucked when we first started, the only way to get good is to practice and get started now.

    Hope this helps...

    Chris

Audio dubbing is your solution. You can read your own script and record the audio. Then you can do lip sync on front of camera with your face. It's a good practice until you get your own confidence.

    Hi naviown,

Or you could just create whiteboard videos with music...

For that you can use software like Easysketch or Videoscribe (Sparkol)

I allways find to easier, if I know which topics and what to say before shooting and then turn on the camera and just let my mouth roll..

Promise me you'll believe in yourself - you can do it! I first did it on my page about minilaan and it went great!

A dreadfully effective trick is to cut and tie your best friend's photo on top of the lens, which unconsciously will allow you to relax and make your brain believe that you are having an exciting discussion with your best friend.

PS: Make sure your best friend doesn't see this, otherwise they might have a lot of questions

Find someone who can speak excellent English, upbeat and spontaneous on camera. But if you're not comfortable having that person be known for your ideas, you can have them do audio recordings of what you want to tell your customers... then create videos out of it. You can choose from a wide range of skills from workers in the Philippines who can help you get the job done.

Man just do it, let me tell you one thing, most of the marketers online, that do videos are also not native english speakers, but it doesn't stop them to make it. The most important think is to write your content, and try to learn it well, you will just make it as you can, and the next videos will be better than the previous one, the most important thing is to share the information. if you are too scare of making mistakes, then one other option you have will be to hire a native english speaker, to speak on the video for you.

What you could do is hire an editor for your script to make sure it is written out in easy to understand english, Then go to fiverr and hire someone to do the voiceover work for you.

Although, with the edited script you might be able to pull it off yourself

i have done similar, but you know, it's impossible to make whole video text script and there are many parts where I need to put my own word's and this is where I am very weak at.

can you please check video which i added in my first post? and tell overall what you think
