One great way that will get you a lot of exposure is to copy your article into a Powerpoint presentation and then upload it to a video.

Then upload your video to Youtube.

    How Will You Benefit?

As Google owns Youtube you will find that your Youtube video will rank very well on Google
and will often do extremely well in Google's search engine.

It will probably do well in Youtube as well.

Always ensure you have a good title and put the keyword tags in the field at the bottom of the Youtube field for keywords.

Make sure you share with Facebook and Twitter to get some good link juice.

I have had a lot of visitors, good traffic and as I always include a link to my website I find my website gets a boost as well from using this simple and easy method.

    Hope this helps.

What's the long term goal/strategy for this? To get as many people as possible to read the article? or get people to clink on links in the article, or something else?

To reach people that may be otherwise missed. Although it looks like Pligg is no more, the platform (and some websites) still seems to exist. That might be an example.

Maybe new platforms that are flying under the radar of many people right now, but could emerge.

      To read the article.

Google killed article marketing years ago, would be better to look at other forms of traffic

      I couldn't disagree more.

If you define article marketing as creating and distributing useful articles/content as a means to capture leads or drive traffic, then Google most certainly did not kill article marketing.

If you define it as a brute force attempt at flooding sh*t onto equally sh*tty article farms and blogs as a means to capture leads or drive traffic, then sure, Google killed it.

Article marketing is still alive. It just requires more than sheer quantity to succeed at now.

OP, if you aren't already using Medium, check it out. Good content on Medium will get views, and Medium is designed to promote good content over merely new content. It has its share of junk to be certain, but that tends to fall by the wayside.

You can certainly get your articles read by using Youtube.

Another thing you can do is to take advantage of the description below your video where you are allowed to have 250 words - I always put the article in there as well as an article in the video itself and it usually works very well.

Yes Stumble Upon and Reddit work well too if you have an article that peaks people's interest.

Youtube is one way that I have not tried at all. I have a face for radio.

I know there are those automated reading ones, but I wouldn't even know where to get the software.

Some are better than others. The paid ones generally have much more natural sounding voices. Here are a few. The first one can be used totally free and doesn't sound terrible but is far from good. The Ivona/Amazon one is VERY good.

    Tritrain,

I don't appear in any of my videos - you don't need to either.

The beauty of the system is you just create a simple Powepoint presentation - insert a small article into it and upload it to Youtube.

Then you put up to 250 words in the description field below - this will rank highly in Youtube
and often in Google as well.

This system is super effective and really quick and easy.

There is more you can do once you have four or five videos link them together and create a Playlist - and watch your video go up the rankings - its a nice easy to use system.

You do not need to have a camcorder or record yourself - I never have!

    Hope this helps.

Seldom mentioned here now is the otherwise very popular and lucrative online/offline article syndication marketing model. Although perhaps the most successful marketing method of all time, it has been systematically targeted specifically for denigration on the forum for more than a decade by nefarious special interest groups.

No need to include your face, and as long as you speak clearly you can do the voice-over yourself.

The most important aspect is optimizing your videos for YT search.
