Need help making money online

Hi,

I have been buying some WSOs and courses but im still confused and finding it very hard to implement and earn anything

I thought making money online is easier than working a 9 to 5 job but its actually much harder

is there any REAL or decent course that actually goes step by step on how to do paid ads with affiliate product successfully?

so far i haven't seen any good training or WSO that goes to teach paid ads with affiliate products

most of the training courses are generic and just talk about how to build a list, getting free traffic from youtube and facebook. most courses are repetitive like that. nothing unique or special.

Most of the product vendors are just selling their products for the sake of selling

I am working a 9 to 5 job and i dont have much free time to do marketing myself to drive free traffic

I would rather do paid traffic because its faster and i dont have to do manual work daily as i have little free time

Making money online is not easy and most fail to ever make a living at it.

You mentioned list building in your post. One of the most important skills you can learn is to build a list.

Regardless how you learn to drive traffic (paid or free). if you were to just send users directly to your offer, most will not buy on the initial visit. So if you send them initially to an opt-in page, you can collect their email address and follow up / promote additional offers to them for very little money.

Do you have any idea what niche you are wanting to promote and how? Other than just saying affiliate offers / paid traffic.

If I may toss in my 2 cents, which you may or may not want to take. What I tell beginners is to consider promoting PPL offer when starting out. I've been promoting affilaite / CPA offers for a little over 17 years and promoting PPL offers is my core business that I have been doing the entire time.

The reason I promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers is that there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight up purchase offers. However, mass appeal needs to exist and I look for one of the following to also exists:

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, most of the above I will promote on the back-end. Which is why the first thing I look for is mass appeal.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

Did you know that many tried to earn money online but only 3 out of 10 succeeded? This is not to discourage you, in fact this is something to prepare you. There is money online, but before you fully submerse yourself you must be fully equipped and prepared. You will have to learn and study as much as you can, and you will have to steel your resolve. You will fail along the way but keep going because when there is failure success is sure to follow.

Paid ads are too expensive and using it for affiliate marketing is dangerous.
You need to learn LOT about ad creation, keyword and country targeting, timings, interests.
In affiliate marketing you will be getting delayed payments and also 50% commission.

If you create your own info product you can get paid instantly and 100% payment.

Here are the step by step ways
Book a domain and hosting for 10 bucks
Buy a PLR pack and select some good e-Books to sell. (you can buy from idplr or fiverr for cheap)
Join PayPal and create payment buttons to sell your info products.
Join aweber for creating optin forms.
Create a squeeze page or landing page or a mini website to sell products and also capture emails.
Send traffic to your landing page or mini website.
You can sell info products and at the same time capture emails for future automated follow up.
This is the right way to earn money online. It may take few days to complete all steps, but you can make a steady and regular income stream for ever.

Let me tell you that Making Money Online is not as easy as one thinks. It takes lots of hard work and sleepless nights. What I suggest you is to research rather than just buying traffic because paid traffic is not a long-term solution.
    Go slow, you'll definitely succeed.
    Best Wishes.

This is an interesting discussion because there are many points of view and there's something to be said for most of them. Nevertheless, developing some aptitude for digital marketing as an affiliate and setting up an ecommerce site are different paths with different methodologies that can be mastered. What is your focus?

And what do you have the most of? Time or money? If you have neither you are going to have a very hard time of it, in either ecommerce or internet marketing.

You are saying your time is limited, then you should probably devote what little free time you have to studying the market, reading this forum, joining some Facebook groups, watching YouTube training videos, finding a coach, reviewing various courses, checking out JVZoo and Clickbank to see what people are selling, etc.

If you have some money, I'd learn something about paid traffic and do some testing. This is the age of 'done for you' marketing opportunities. This means that, at least initially, everything is set up for you with your unique link - your landing page or website, promotional materials, ad copy, email content, webinars and video instruction on how to set everything up.

The kicker is you have to send traffic to this done-for-you set-up and, unless you are extremely patient, your going to have to drop a few dimes to acquire visitors. There are various methods and they can also be frustrating. Facebook, Bing, YouTube and Google. List building. Solo Ads. Banner Ads. 2nd tier advertising platform, etc.

I'm not going to suggest or preclude any of these methods. There are various opinions on the effectiveness, cost and learning curve of each. It's probably best for you to find your own way.

People usually fail at internet marketing because they give up too easily. I suppose 'easily' is a subjective opinion, but often they fail with one method and label it a scam and look at every opporunity through that lens. Or, similarly, they expect that they can make money without either investing in their business or putting in some effort.

Affiliate marketing and online marketing in general attracts a lot of people because the idea of being your own boss with your own schedule, or raking in the dough while your lolling about on some sun-drenched pacific resort is a powerful inducement.

But you need to get real about it. Work with a coach. Join a marketing community. And, if your serious and can maintain your focus, you can ultimately create a successful enterprise.

    Hi Amanda,

I completely understand how you feel..., been there and done that...

Anyhow, one thing that could bring some extra cash to the table and your business and pretty fast is doing task related jobs online.

It might not sound so glamorous as running a business online, but it works.

It can for example be transcription of videos and audios.

In many cases they pay you directly to your paypal account.

    Kind regards,
    Robin

    Amanda,

Remember when you started your first job? Was everything easy or were you learning a lot of new things?

Online marketing has a lot of moving parts and there are lots of things you will need to learn and master to be successful.

Generally you will need 3 things:

    1. A Vehicle - A product or service that is in demand that others have proven can make money.

    2. An Engine - A system that can help automate the selling an marketing for you (landing pages, videos, sales pages, email messages, etc). The better the engine the easier it will be to scale.

    3. The Fuel - Traffic or eyeballs to your offer. Without this you are dead. My recommendation when just starting out is to master one free traffic method (FaceBook, YouTube, Instagram...) and one paid strategy (there are lots of them).

Oh...one other thing, find someone in your niche who is already successful and model what they are doing.

    Hope this helps!

Have you selected a niche yet? Have you implemented yet these strategies from the courses you've read, or is this all speculation? Do you have a website? Do you have an autoresponder? Do you have a lead capture/squeeze page? Do you have a blog? Are you on Youtube and Facebook, and are you doing any advertising on Google Adwords and Bing Ads?

If not, then you can't complain about the WSO's, because you haven't done anything that they've told you to do. All you've done is read.

Yes you are right, it is definitely not going to be quick and easy, like a lot of promotors want you to believe. Personally, I have been looking at Amazon FBA and dropshipping with Shopify. I have now launched my dropship store and doing FB Ads. It does take time and money but the idea is if you can generate profit then you can automate most of it.

so for the first six months expect a lot of hard work. I found a few good courses at very low prices on Udemy. I would say always go with people who have been there and done it and there is enough evidence they are the real deal!

I shared my experience so far on a different thread: https://www.warriorforum.com/ecommer...-dropship.html

    Good luck

Amanda you are not alone in this most of us here have been where you are now and overcame. If i must be honest with you there's nothing wrong with the online courses you bought cause they are talking about list building, traffic generation strategies which are some of the key element of a successful online business.

The truth of the matter is you will get overwhelmed with information overload if you try to implement everything at once. Start with one money making technique or strategy and build it up from there remember ROME wasn't build in a day this things take time.

So if list building is what you want to do which is advisable I suggest you get a done for you sales funnel if you can't create one yourself cause this will enable you build your list whilst you make affiliate commission at the same at the back end and through email follow up sequence.

If eCommerce is what you decide to go into which is a bit risky for beginners without proper guidance then I suggest you follow a proven system from someone that is actually making money with this business model. You can get a mentor to mentor and guide you if you can afford it.

In conclusion start with one proven method or business model and build it up from there. You can later add more business model in the future if you choose to. Hope this helps.

Making money online isn't easy. It's work.

You have to decide what type of work you want to do and stick to that one thing until you have mastered it. We all want to sell stuff online but the problem is finding the people who want what you are offering.

    1. Decide what you want to do (If it's IM then you better offer the best products and not junk).

    2. Find your marketing audience and give them a good deal (Use the search engines to find your market. Learn all the websites where your buyers hang out.)

Some say that you should find your market first then choose your product but it all comes down to doing what you enjoy doing and learning how to monetize it.

    Hope this helps,

Hey Amanda, You are the type of person who wishes to rely on yourself for earning! That's good and that's how leaders become! Online marketing is not easy but what do you think is easy? Nothing! How can success come without hard work?

The key here is...1. Interest and 2. Goal.

Firstly I recommend you to construct a good base i.e., a website. In your site help place good content. Now you must try marketing for free using social forums and social media. This should gather some traffic. Now go on with content marketing till the time you feel 'at ease' with social marketing.

It is then once you are comfortable, go for paid ads. I am into affiliate marketing and I share this out of experience. Worry not, with time you shall find yourself doing well but patience is to be exercised!

      Amanda,

You're struggling because you don't want to do the work. What you're describing is what our industry calls a "push button" solution.

      THERE IS NO SUCH THING.

There are certainly specific tasks that you can automate, but there is no product you can buy that will spit out cash once you push the button!

For someone in your shoes ... someone that has no time to invest in online money making ... you face a tough decision: hire out everything to other people or look for a different career.

The first option, hiring out everything, is a tough row to hoe! You've got to have a lot of faith and trust in who you hire, and it will cost you significant amounts of cash. It can be done, but I think choosing a different way to invest your money is a smarter move.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news ... but you need to hear the truth!

      The very best to you,

      Steve

"I thought making money online is easier than working a 9 to 5 job but its actually much harder"

This is the problem when people take on self employment they don't realise it is much more than a 9 - 5 job. If you make it you of course can have more time off if you want. But business is business you end up working a lot more but doing something you love and making more money doing it.

Being self employed and making money online is a drive for people. Some see it as free money others a challenge. I would tick to your 9 - 5 job and use your left over money that you might waste on alcohol, drugs, tobacco, video games etc and pay others to drive traffic for you.

I remember when I first quit my last employed job (about 4 years ago). I had worked a fair few decent wage jobs then moved to another part of the country and picked up some manual labour to tie us over jobs were hard to find and I just needed something quick. Money was good (surprisngly good), I busted my balls off but was always told to work harder by the lower management who know fa. I kept seeing people sat around while I worked and worked. Management didn't have a clue, I had managerial roles before so I knew how it worked and how to get things done.

One day I got pissed and just went to the boss of the company and said I quit after only 8 months of employment. He was shocked he was sad to see me go as to him I was a hard worker. The company was lacking in communication which was showing exactly why it was hemorrhaging money. Come to think of it I think it went under 2 years ago.

So I dusted myself off and decided to start again. I bought a ton of stock and started selling online ebay to start with. Whilst doing this I was building sites black and white hat of course. Had a lot of ups and downs the first 6 months were awful my partner kept expecting the same amount of money to come in from online work as a job.... it was more at like %60 even though i was working 10 hours a day! 12 Months down the line it paid off and i was making 3 times my salary a week. That lasted 5 months and died out. Then I had more ups and downs a long the way. You just keep working and pushing for better. Some days you live of beans other you live like a king.

Just make sure you have some savings for them rainy days, something I should have done at the start.... lol Also once you get an idea act on it don't talk about it. If your excuse is you have no money then work a 9 - 5 job and save it. If you have no time pay someone to work for you.

    Simples.

    Hi Amanda,

I can appreciate your frustration, but here is something you want to own; your mindset.

Making money online is a skill consistent with professional online entrepreneurs who spent *years* of their lives practicing, to earn those skills, to pay their dues, to become thriving entrepreneurs.

A professional basketball player in the NBA does not say: "I want to make money playing basketball, but want to use a paid method, where I can just make the money without spending 10,000 to 20,000 hours of shooting jump shots and dribbling....nah.....I have a 9-5 job and just do not have the time to practice."

This may sting a little bit, that's ok though; it's your online tuition, your first step to paying dues. You realize that making money online, from $10 to $10,000 to $100,000, requires you to make a life time commitment to learning from pros, to getting your mind right, to practicing, to creating and to connecting.

I travel all over the world through blogging. I live a cool life. Writing these words from Manhattan as we speak. Here's the drill: I gave a decade of my life to learning and practicing the skill of blogging, so blogging has been good to me. I learned the skill, practiced the skill, and earn through the skill. This is not something that you do part time, outside of a 9-5 job. It is something that you do FULL TIME, in addition to working a 9-5 job. Like, staying up to midnight, working through the weekends, doing whatever you have to do to build a life of freedom, so you can leave behind a life of being bound.

We share the truth and do so in clear fashion to help you avoid wasting time, and to help you get on the straight and narrow that so few take.

When guys like Steve and I share our thoughts in thorough fashion, we do so generously because we love helping folks....but the free stuff we share here, we can charge a pretty penny for. Especially Steve because he has decades and decades worth of experience. I am only clocking in at 10 years 5 of which I knew what I was actually doing.

Find something you feel passionate about. Pinpoint a pressing problem you can solve in that niche. This is your starting point. This is how you enter the online business world with the right mindset, so you align with rocking mentors and the right blogs and the right teaching materials and course to lay a solid foundation for a successful venture, years down the road.

    All the best.

Making money online is not as simple as people make out. Sure there is great money to be made and yes it can in some cases be made quite quickly but this should not be the expectation.

Paid traffic will certainly get you results quickly but those results may be good ones, especially if you are new and not sure how to generate sales.

My advice would be to get a mentor rather than a course because they can help you as you go, a course will only offer guidance and not feedback which can be the real problem when trying to get started.

You must learn WordPress, and must understand how products are offered and displayed on your site or landing page, and then setup lead capture, but you must learn a whole lot, about IM marketing, if somebody told you this was easy, sorry it is not, only 1% of people here make money,

most just leave comments on this form, if you want to make many like some of the pros here then, you must master, 80% of IM marketing just to understand the metrics of this business.

All the stuff for sale or products to get sales quick, will not work, unless you know IM marketing and know which one could possibly work in your niche, or spot a scam if it is one.

This is the truth, I know you might not want to hear that, but Twenty years experience here

If you have a 9-5 job.

Then you will really need to try harder.

I mean, you will need to be willing to work more time, work in your free time

When you finish your work at your company is also the biginning time of your online business,

I don't care if you can paid for traffic or not, but the most important thing here is that there are so many things that you need to learn. Even learn alone is not enough. You will need to master that.

If you don't, you will lose money, or a lot of money with no return.

is it paid traffic or free traffic?

because i used Bing to drive traffic to an affiliate offer and i lost all my money without a single conversion

I also hired a couple of guys from Fiverr to help me with conversion and still didn't get a single sale

Making money online is easy if you go with the sound plan and enthusiasm.

I don't know much how other things work but as a dating script/plugin stockist, our clients are making a good amount of money from online dating website. They start with one website for a particular niche and I have a couple of clients returning back to more dating script for creating more online dating website.
As I found they are making more than the benchmark I have set form couple hundred dollars of investment, not bad huh.
you can bring in money as a side or primary business of yours.

    1.Choose a suitable niche
    2. start with your blog and stop thinking so much about "I need to make money fast" and think more about doing it in the long term.
    3.learn to get more traffic

is there any REAL or decent course that actually goes step by step on how to do paid ads with affiliate product successfully?

so far i haven't seen any good training or WSO that goes to teach paid ads with affiliate products

most of the training courses are generic and just talk about how to build a list, getting free traffic from youtube and facebook. most courses are repetitive like that. nothing unique or special.

Most of the product vendors are just selling their products for the sake of selling

I am working a 9 to 5 job and i dont have much free time to do marketing myself to drive free traffic

I would rather do paid traffic because its faster and i dont have to do manual work daily as i have little free time
So far, it has been all I. I want, I would, I don't, I can't...all about you, you and you.

When you shift to what can I offer? When you stop, pause, examine what you already have, know and can do.

Then you might see what you can GIVE first, and I guarantee you YOU have skills, knowledge or experiences that other people would pay for.

Sure, we all start from I, or Me, me, me. You want to make money online?

Then shift the focus, think of them, What Is In It for THEM, those guys out there, the ones with money to spend, buying stuff already...how can I SERVE them, what can I do for them?

A little shift in mindset, a Tsunami shift in results.

This is, Amanda, what we call an information overload.

If only one way to make money existed, you would have only two choices - either to use it or not.
Since there are plenty of ways, you check them, read, learn, watch, reread, rewatch, and think that you're doing something, but in reality, what you're doing is called procrastination.

So what I would do If I were you is I would stick to one particular method.

As I understand your situation from your first message, you don't need a special course or tutorial, you need the ability to stick to one thing.

And buying traffic might not be that one thing.

One of the proven ways to make money online is eBook publishing. These can range from short reports to ebooks with higher number of pages. Amazon is the largest digital store for ebooks. Amazon KDP is platform for publishing your eBook on Amazon. There are other eBook retail stores for publishing your ebooks.
One of the ways to promote your ebooks is through free giveaways. By giving some of your ebooks free, you can build your audience, you can also introduce your paid ebooks with links to order them.
There are several sites for giving your ebooks free. You can search for some of them.

I suggest you get some 1 on 1 coaching from a IM Mentor, it would work well for a starter like you.

Its extremely easy to see success stories all over the internet.

Just take a look at the products on offer at Warrior Plus and see how many thousands of one product have been sold and then there are income screenshots galore, but what you don't see are the failures before success, nobody rolled out of bed one day and woke up to $10,000 in commissions without some sort of hardship and many failures.

The point being is that you must have realistic expectations and the right mindset "I thought making money online is easier than working a 9 to 5 job but its actually much harder", yes it's damn hard work and you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves and graft for a few months without potentially seeing an immediate return plus the time taken to educate yourself.

Master one topic at a time, for beginners I always recommend starting with free traffic so you can understand funnels and conversions in more detail without burning money on advertising, unless you can afford a high end coach to take you by the hand and teach you paid traffic.

You got here a lot of good answers, I was at your point and then I started to notice that Making Money Online is not as easy as you think. It takes lots of hard work.
Yes there is an money online but you need to work for it, there is no such thing as easy money of fast steps to do it and if you see courses that said "We can teach you how to earn money easy online" run from them, they want your money and this is easy to take money from people that believe that there is easy money online.
Affiliate world is very hard and if you think that you are going to publish add at youtube or facebook or any other social platform and you get a tone of traffic it's not true!
I know this world and it's not working that way.
My suggestion to you is that you might look for another direction like selling on Eaby or Amazon.
    don't give up

    Good Luck My Friend
