CPA Campaign can't get conversions

Greetings,

I am an aspiring affiliate marketer. I recently read an article from Charles Ngo about the wonderful world of CPA marketing and was instantly inspired.

I joined MaxBounty and spoke to the AM and picked an online Survey offer and direct linked it using paid NativADs from MGID with a budget of $100. However, I was not able to make any money and the budget quickly dried up.

I then decided to invest on an AdPlexity Mobile account and picked a Gift Card Offer for Germany traffic and used PopCash to direct link it as it was showing in AdPlexity that around 100+ affiliates were already running the offer as such for almost a month and a half (48 days). I initially ran the traffic on all German Mobile traffic (with a bid of $1 for every 4000 pop unders...$0.001 in PopCash terms) and went through the initial budget of $25 in 2 days. I saw about 25,500 clicks but 0 conversions.

I then dug deeper in AdPlexity and found that other affiliates where white listing the campaing in PopCash for 2 particular widgets. I relaunched the campaign white-listing it for the 2 widget id's that I found from AdPlexity and also increased the bid to $2 for every 4000 pop unders...$0.002 in PopCash Terms).

I have been running the campaign for 2 days now but still I have not seen any conversion.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post.

I know nothing about the platforms you are using to generate traffic, but I suspect that you are just getting untargeted garbage traffic.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for a little over 17 years now.

Offers that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, educations, loans, credit, debt, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc. I have also done just as well with dating website sign-ups.

The above are all PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is what I mainly run because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

    Something to think about.

Yes both my offers were lead generating as well. I figured that I would have a better chance at conversion since people don't have to pull out a credit card. but I am still not having any conversion. Not really sure what I am doing wrong..or is it something that I am not doing?

Direct linking from native ads will never work. To see a return from native ads you need very engaging content and preferably ads on your site that pay per click. This is surfer traffic and has a very short attention span.

I initially ran the traffic on all German Mobile traffic (with a bid of $1 for every 4000 pop unders..
Pop-unders cost very little because that's what they are worth.

If you must direct link from paid ads then they have to be laser targeted to your specific offer.

Of course, you should have an opt-in page and follow-up series targeted to your specific offer. You then promote your CPA offers in your follow-up.

Don't spend any more money on traffic until you have something to send them to that has a chance of getting conversions.

The 2 offers that I have promoted thus far I did some digging around before starting the campaings.

For the NativAd Campaing that I ran from MaxBounty the AM mentioned that it was getting alot of conversions for other affiliates. I bought traffic from MGID but it was not targetted.

For the Pop-Under Campaign I selected that particular offer from Mobidea because the Mobidea Support team said it had a good Network EPC and also when I checked in AdPlexity spy tool affiliates were running it for over 30+ days which to me indicated that it was a successful offer which is why other affiliates are running it for such a long time.

Not sure what part of the equation I am missing?

i think you need to run some good tests on this campaign, but also optimize your creatives, and see what is happening after.
