Advertising in LinkedIn

Hello Warriors!

Those of you who have any experience with advertising in LinekedIn - could you please share some insight or knowledge or anything

I am thinking about starting an advertising campaign to promote the marketing agency that I am working for now, but I have heard in the past that advertising in LinkedIn is very expensive. What do you think or what is your experience.

I did some lead gen for lawyers on Linkedin - the worst paid results I've ever had but then again though I spend a lot of time on Linkedin i wasnt familiar with the platform - its better to just grow your connections nurture the relationship and go from there.

Every ad campaign is different. Every business is different. Every niche is different. What others have done on their campaigns has no bearing on what you will do on yours. You will do better or worse but not the same - that is all you can take from the responses.

LinkedIn is simply a professional social network. Its about networking with people looking to network with other professionals. The only real marketing on LinkedIn that anyone appreciates is to market your real professional self/brand that others may wish to use to help their own professional agenda...

Every social network has an agenda of what type networking it wishes to promote ...

    for example:

Facebook is the most versatile network for interacting with people one actually knows, people on facebook aren't hiding behind usernames, and every action one performs on facebook is eternally stored in the system ...

Instragram is specialized for visual social networking with people that either one actually knows or is a legitimate fan of ... There is very little room for marketing things one is not willing to publicly associate with on instagram ...

Twitter is a social network people use to update status & highlight trending topics ... One can use twitter to market things ... but if you start to annoy people they will simply stop paying you any attention and/or report you ...

In short, when it comes to marketing ANYTHING via a popular social network one should ask themselves the question ... "Is what I'm promoting worth being publicly associated with for the rest of my life?"

Linkedin is full of professionals in various niches and businesses. Its a platform used mostly by offline business owners. I'm sure you will find a few good online courses on how to advertise on Linkedin.

First thing to do is look at the TOS then look at the advertising costs and don't rely on hear say

The hardest part of advertising in Linkedin is that you need to have some connections first to sell to

They will remove your account if you stray off the path so the best way is through your connections and then their connections seeing that they have interacted with you so you grow you base also connect with other in your field as you never know of what work may come up
