Question for Amazon affiliates

Hey guys,

So, I just noticed that not all my websites are listed in the area of my account that says "Website information."

My dilemma now is whether to add the two websites that I've been using with the account that are not listed or leave it as is.

On one hand, the information there is not complete and I'm thinking it might be a problem.

On the other hand, if I trigger something like a manual check and they see that I've been using the websites it will be like I brought it onto myself.

Any advice is welcome, I've been scratching my head over this for two days now.

Thanks

My thoughts are that you should read Amazon's TOS and follow it to the letter.

First. Complete the websites that are incomplete, and add them to your list.

Thanks, but my question was about the risk involved with the fact that I sent traffic for some time now without listing the website.

I agree with al. Just follow the TOS. I understand why an affiliate might hesitate to list additional websites but that is simply shortsighted.

    Here are the two questions:

What will/could happen if I don't add the sites?
What will/could happen if I do add the sites?

I have always listed any new site and I have never had a problem. If you don't list the site and they discover it later what will they think? You just forgot or you are up to something fishy? Amazon doesn't like to guess, they will likely just close your account.

If you are doing everything above board on your additional sites you have nothing to worry about by adding them to your account.

If Amazon told us not to ever use the color red on our homepage I would just follow that advice. We make a lot of money with their help so why not just follow their rules?

And when they do, chances are slim to none that you will get it back

I'm somehow failing to convey my dilemma, let me try and be clearer.

I DO want to list the sites.

What I fear is that listing them will trigger a review and the person will see that I've been sending traffic from these without the sites being listed and close the account for that violation...in spite of the fact that I listed them now, the TOS are followed closely on the sites and there's nothing fishy about them.

If the tos are followed closely then the sites would be listed.

You risk a lot more by not listing them. I would just go ahead and list them. If you don't, when they find out, you could lose your entire account

I am not an Amazon employee but I agree with Al.

You might be risking having your account closed now but if you haven't been doing anything scammy or against their TOS why would they want to do that? If you are sending them traffic and getting conversions you are making them money.

If you don't follow their TOS and they discover it in a year or two it will hurt even worse. In a year or two your site will be bigger and making more money.

I'll just go ahead and list them now and see what happens. Thanks
