Question for Wordpress masters

Hi All!

If you deal with WP, perhaps you can help me with this issue...

I want to take a small part from my WP articles and post them on
another site, on a normal HTML page. Both are owned by me.

And of course, I want to add title and a max 500 chrs from the
article.

How in the blaze I can do this???

Thx,

Valeriu

When you are viewing your website in the browser, go to 'view source'. This will display the HTML markup for the site. You can copy and paste the section you want into a normal HTML file. Once you have done this, copy the style.css file across too and it will display like your WP site.

Any other questions, give me a shout.

    John,

    You get me wrong.

    Let's say that I have a site sitename.com
    built with HTML (simple pages)

I want to put here a snippet from another
blog I own, but on other domain: site2name.com/blog

So I want to take from the blog the title and a few
words and post them into my home page at sitename.com

An example is on GetResponse.com home page, look at how
they have a section called "Blog" and another "News".

I want to do the same for my site. But HOW?

I think they are using the RSS feed from the blog.

Why don't you set up an RSS reader on your target site and specify how much of your posts you want it to pull in.

I use CaRP for that on a number of my sites and it pulls in the first 250 characters of every blog post I make. You can specify how many characters you want it to pull in.

Each entry contains links back to the original articles so readers can read the full article if they're interested.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Tapping into your blog's RSS feed (your blog DOES have an RSS feed, doesn't it?) would probably fit the bill here.
