[Resolved] How to get GoogleSites indexed?

Is there a way to know or submit my googlesite for indexing? I've published a Google Site (using sites.google.com), but not seeing it in search results.
For Wordpress sites, we submit the sitemap and try to get Google Crawl our website. Is there anything similar that has to be done for google sites? or is it just Publishing that we need to do?

Btw' I used regular search string to check my index status and see my site as not indexed ... "site:https://sites.google.com/view/<sitename>"

Thanks In Advance !!!

    Hi,
I think your site should be in a queue to be indexed.

I have always found that if I create a short video and upload it to Youtube with a link to my new site, my new site will often get indexed very quickly.

I think this is because Google owns Youtube.

If I have a new webpage and I put a link in a Youtube video the link will get indexed within about 5 minutes usually.

You could try this and see if it works.

    Hope this helps.

Worked with the 'Search Console' submission. Through the link "https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url".

you have to wait around for the Google bot to crawl your website and add it to the Google index.

Unless you want it indexed quickly, then you link to it on FB and G+.

A sitemap is an XML document on your website's server that basically lists each page on your website.
Submit Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools - The first place you should take your sitemap for a new website is Google Webmaster Tools.
