I'm looking for a way to change the URL of a WordPress site

  • That's a domain issue, not a Wordpress issue.

    Buy a new domain, connect it to your hosting account (also nothing to do with Wordpress), then move the website over from the domain it is on now to the new one. Both domains must be on your hosting account (or your client's, if this is their site).

    If your idea was to put the site on a subdomain of the existing domain you already have, which you could do for a blog for example, then you create the subdomain through the hosting account first. Then switch the settings in the Wordpress admin panel >> Settings >> General to the subdomain.

    A Google search will show you several ways of accomplishing the move. All of them are technical. I'm sure there are YouTube video tutorials as well.

  • The fact is that you can't change. Just buy a new paid domain that suits you and move it to the new site.
