Do you care about image SEO?

Do you care about image SEO? Page loading time on your blog and your readers experience with your blog on mobile devices?
What're your tricks? How to do all those optimizations faster? What plugins/ software are you using for SEO, image compression, scaling, annotating and whatever?

      Haha, not everything.
I'm familiar with all aspects of image optimization:
      1. Loading time (rescale, compressing, CDN)
      2. Art direction and responsiveness (for different screen resolutions and width)
      3. SEO (filename, alt, title, caption)
My question is how much time do you spend to optimize your images. What parts of it are you compromising? and what tools are you using to do the job?

I often spend my time mostly on creating images that interactive for social sharing (facebook open graph, twitter card etc), so it will get more click when it posted on social media.

Hi Gianbizz! That's interesting. Can you share an example of something like that on your blog?

Any good graphics editor will do most everything you need. I use both Photoshop and PaintShopPro. They both to do image scaling and compression as well as other tasks (like color enhancement, contrast, compositing, transparent backgrounds, etc) that need to be done.

The time it takes is not long, but of course each image is different depending on the number of things that need to be done to make the image into what I want.

I have a WordPress blog and WP will take care of the caption, tagging, image placement on the post, etc.

So I do personally care about image SEO preparation, but I don't stress over it or make it a "big deal." Yes, maybe there is more I could be doing, but the extra time and effort probably isn't going to make much SEO difference. Do the "basics" and don't worry about the frills - that's my MO for all SEO.

Alot of your prospects will have high speed internet. Most images under 1MB will load almost instantly (assuming most users aren't on raunchy sites... if you know what i mean).

Alt-text is fine, but dont blow your mind over it. Focus on getting the lead, keeping them, and converting them into customers. There are more ways to get a high quality free lead other than SEO.
