    What do you mean by unique?
    Where did you get this video from? You downloaded it from the Internet, right? So, it can't be unique.
    Or you're interested if it has already been uploaded to YouTube?

      How to check its uniqueness ?
      There are plenty of video presentations on a specific keyword at YouTube - so it is impossible to check and compare to each presentation.

        Get him/her to give you a declaration that the video is unique (i.e. created especially for you from scratch) then put in the agreement that the copyright will belong to you when payment is complete.

    I don't think anything is unique nowadays. Ideas get copied almost anywhere. We can never really tell who was the original owner of an idea because everything has been passed on and shared. It only gets tweaked a little bit so that the person copying it will not be tagged as a plagiarist.

    The same goes with the videos in fact, just go to a YouTube or even Google and with the right search options you will be able to find all related videos with the same or similar topic.

    Honestly, it's hard to check if something is truly unique these days even if you've hired the most creative freelancer your money can buy. With how vast the Internet is, we're probably copying someone else's ideas without even knowing about it at all. But you can do what funnelsoptimizer said and do a thorough search. It'll take a lot of time and effort if you're really set on having a truly unique video, however.

    Do you know how much Google spend their money just to create that feature to compare and check millions images for its unique which we're sure it's related to copyright things?
    I don't know, but I'm sure it will be a fantastic number.
    So, I think big G is in a way there for the video with their Youtube features. Video costs more. And all we have to do just wait for it. Because actually Youtube already has it. So, just wait.
