I Need A Consistently Reliable IM & FB Mentor/Coach

by Wadjet

I have a little money to spend on my development.

Let me give you a little background about myself. I'm 58 years old, have survived a major health episode in the last 3 years. So life is precious to me, and I don't dare waste it pursuing anything not worthwhile especially where money is concerned.

I want to be able to generate a decent income as quickly as possible. I'm looking to make a consistent £5000 a month.

So I'm asking you warriors out there to suggest mentors/coaches who can take me from zero to the stratosphere in as short a time as possible.

Kind regards One & ALL

You need some money to invest.

Focus all your efforts in building an email list around a specific niche you choose with wise creterias.

Email Marketing is the lifeblood of every online business, and the most sustainable one.

You need precise steps to identify a niche, product to sell (i think u will chosee affiliate if u no have one), and then learn to provide content, solution to your list's problems, and definately market that list

You probably don't want to hear this . . .

But taking a business into the "stratosphere" is a lot more about you and your business skill and persistence than it is about a particular mentor. You are the business and it will only succeed as you make it succeed - even if you employ a mentor.

Yes, mentors and coaches can help, especially when you have specific obstacles you need to overcome. But they aren't going to build your business for you, execute it for you, and just turn it over to you once it is profitable. Shy away from any mentor that gives you such a pitch!

Why pay a mentor to teach you all the basics of Internet marketing? You can learn all that right here for free? Besides, quality mentors don't come cheap and you don't want them for easy, simple daily tasks.

Choose a mentor once you've done your market research and identified a niche, your target audience, and a business model you'd like to pursue. Once you know these things and are on a chosen business path, then you can look for a mentor that has been successful in this same type of business. Many folks wait until after they have a web site up and products in tow before they look for a mentor to help them refine and scale their businesses.

Also, mentors have specialties and experience in certain business models - find one that knows and has been profitable in the same type of business that you want to pursue ("horses for courses").

Don't spend until you understand what you're doing and can ask the right questions without having to be spoon-fed the basics.

    The very best to you,

    Steve

I would only add this: Ignore all the pms you're going to get offering coaching services. You'll be throwing your money away. Whoosh, gone, down the proverbial drain. Anyone who says they can get you to the "stratosphere" in a short time is a scam artist.

As Steve has said, you're going to need to be clear on what business model you want before you hire a coach. Then find one that specializes in that model. Make sure you get recommendations from past clients. See what kind of success they personally have had and don't rely on screen shots of income.

    Hello,

I like your drive, but the truth is,

You have to have major skills in this business, to make it, you can get all the coaching you want, but with out skills, you will not seceded, This is a real business, and to run this as a real business, you must have a business plan, for Niche, Blog, Marketing, SEO, Lead Capture, and testing paid traffic,

The trick is to IM Marketing, you have to become an expert at one thing at least, don't expect others to do the work for you, why because they will lie and take your money, over and over.

If you look close at some of the members on this forum, you will see, that many are experts in some part of IM marketing, others just have fun here and comment on things, but never try to really create a business.

So as you can see, know the facts about this business, not easy as they say, only pros make real money, so if your not a pro become one.

    Ok hope this helps you,

    Thanks Rob.

First of all, investing in yourself can be a little pricey but is it worth it?

    Yes.

Why is that your financial goal? What are you passionate about?

Having a clear answer to these questions is key. Otherwise, you could be purchasing every new/shiny object that people throw at you because it will lead you to believe that there's a shortcut.

There's a lot of time, dedication, and hard work involved. There is no quick, easy shortcut.

Invest in your education in a particular niche first and save your money.

      Hi Ronkar,

You're absolutely correct, That's why I decide to ask the community because I realised that I would be risking wasting money by not asking people in the business already.

      Many thanks

    Hi Wadjet,

If money is your prime driver, you are in trouble. Only because, the money will not flow in early on, and you will lose your motivator.

It takes months, then years, to develop the skills - through daily practice - to make 5 bills a month, or heck, even less.

Having faced a massive health scare, focus on what's most important: your passions, not profits. Money does not matter. It is numbers on a screen, or numbers on paper. It is no big deal, just a means of exchange. BUT....if you follow your passion and build a business around that, you will persistently practice, see money as no big deal, and over years you will both love your ride (largely) and make consistently more and more money, over the long haul.

    All the best.

      Thank you Ryan,

I think its partly because of my recent facing up to fact that my time on planet earth is finite and my green and salad days already behind me, that I too wish to see the world before shuffling this mortal coil.

I wish to explore being a digital nomad, with health issues. Luckily for me I won't be travelling alone. I fully agree with that money is a means to an end, but I one of those type that neeed to cost things before jumping off.

      Many thanks

IDK how this thread has survived. OP should be posting in Help Wanted with a paid ad, not here.

Wadjet, try learning how to make $1 online. Then $10. Then $100. Then $100 a day.

You cannot go from zero to a hundred miles per hour in a second. Each phase requires different thinking, different infrastructure.

    Read my comment on gurus.

My advice is you get Tom Addams' Month One WSO and get to work on that. You'll spend $100 tops, probably more like $40 (I have spent a whopping $20 on the WSO and that's it, as I had a suitable premium theme plus domain lying around--Yes, I'm working on it even though I have no real need to, as I run other businesses...that should tell you something). And get real world advice from one of the top traffic experts on this forum for a scant fraction of what you or I ought to be putting down to learn.

      Wadjet,

You've been given incredibly sound advice about coaching. Some of the people chiming in here are the true elite at Warrior Forum.

As I'm sure you know, you won't be making $5K a month overnight. If you want my advice, here it is: focus not on riches but on security.

To explain. As online marketers, we don't have anyone cutting our cheques. It's all on us. We need to know, therefore, that each month we can pay our way.

Right now, being a newbie, you have no security from internet marketing. Your goal, then, should be to build that security.

What you want to do is think small at first.

Just get 1 little business making a little money. Then what you do is grow that business to a point where the money is okay.

The trick to traffic - for that business - is to grow diverse streams of traffic. Traffic and traffic methods can die overnight, you see.

Once you have that first business relatively stable (as stable as anything in this business) you need to keep managing it or the traffic and signups grow cold.

Then what you do is setup another business.

You can either duplicate the same model and choose a different niche or you can setup an entirely different business.

The second option is the safest but you're actually best off going with the first right now. That way, with you being new, you're in familiar territory, so you can get the business making money that bit quicker.

Your long-term goal should be to own a large and diversified portfolio of online businesses.

In terms of sales/ selling/ conversions, Jason is the man to listen to on WF. He's the best in the business, inside or outside WF.

In terms of everything else, once you've decided on your business model, just absorb WF and ask questions.

You'll save yourself money this way and you'll be adopting a pretty safe approach to online marketing.

      All the best to you,

      Tom

Although the WF presents some so called digital nomads, start with the recently retired from traveling guru who has been all over the world the last few years...

Natalie Sisson is the real deal. Spend a couple of hours reading every blog post she has made. A little bit of time could lead you to what you want.

having no money or skills, then making $5000/mo is unrealistic. I read stories all the time saying "It took me thousands, and a year to make $500/mo"

One way around is to hire someone to create a niche funnel, however, these sites can be very expensive, and no guarantees. No one can guarantee you success,no matter how good they are.

these posts above me are right, if you want to do all this yourself, then you still need a business plan, money, and skills to get the job done.

as long as you keep thinking about money, then you will never
get anywhere because that is all you are really thinking about.
dreaming about money only distracts you from what you should
be doing, coming up with a business plan, niche research, keyword
research, SEO, analytics as there is a lot to this then just setting
up a website, and expect to put in alot of time, resources and money.

After reading through this thread I get the idea that you get the idea that this will take some doing on your part.

You are in absorption mode my friend as we all have been at some point.

There are a ton of people who have the already accomplished what you want.

Take some time to really do some good reading right here on this forum (just to start wrapping your mind around these ideas of successful marketing).

You have already gone through a challenge related to health issues.

58 years or twenty something has no hold over what You can accomplish.

    Age does not matter.

What matters is persevering through the absorption time (3 to 6 months) and into implementing what you have learned.

    And most importantly...

Following through for the long run even while you are learning and not making money.

£5000 a month is not mission impossible but in the same time this depending a lot of work from your side and making of some good online contacts. Try on different places and I am sure that you will find someone who would gladly welcome you into their team to teach you general things about the marketing (just for the start then you will move forward).

Hi Wadjet. There is no fast way to make money in any business. I have attended online training some six months ago and doing this business ever since. Honestly, I yet to make even US500 a month. I just can't advise you how to make 5000 pounds a months.

Personally, I would like to say no such thing. But if you sincere and serious about doing online business, get a good coach and lets explore the business together with him. One day, you would be there soon.
