Your client is an amazon affiliate that wants to promote the book Heart of a Ranger.

So what is it you want to bring to clickbank

You can post it to clickbank, if it's a guide to "make something" maybe in the survival niche?!

With clickbank you can also divide per 50% (or whatever) the sale of every product sold by affiliates, so you can get your percentage.

Take into account that clickbank first fee for selling your product is 50 usd, if i remember correctly.

But you could have plenty of affiliates selling it.

So open 1 account as a vendor for selling it, and one account as you to promote it to enhance the gravity and put it in front of the eyes of potential affiliates.

Also build up an affiliate page, prepare some swipes to send to their list (if you dont have there are free on my signature or oustource it), etc.

I am still not sure what is being sold on clickbank. Heart of a Ranger is on amazon written by Bill Lunn your client is a she so it is obviously not her book so again. what will be sold on clickbank. Am I missing something here

Bill Lunn is the author, however their agreement is now met without the book ever being promoted. The book has NEVER been promoted even though films have been made LONE SURVIVOR, THE REAPER let alone Ben Kopp was my ranger buddy. Lets face it here in our opsec world nothing is thus why i was reaching out.

SO to get back on track here my original strategy was to simply use the ebook as a opt in to collect information and use the power of affiliate marketing to simply raise awareness to sell the book. See here the ubderlyining meaning and problem on a daily basis.

My poin is by using the affilate network we turn inn a new, audience to the 90% whom doesn't know about the book or care but will now. Thats 90% is america.
Look at the numbers as from youtube to facebook some of our top influencers may have 10 million folloowers.

Question: So as i set the affiliate campaign up on clickbank under my client i would want to set up an account for myself and the company to be affiliates for that offer correct?

I agree. You don't know what you don't know - and that's OK. But throwing in movie titles (that were made years before the publish date of the book) doesn't help. Kopp was a hero - much had been written about him long before this book was published. Does the listed author own the rights to the book?

The book is on Kindle - you want to put it on Clickbank...is that what you are asking? You realize clickbank 'commissions' are usually far more than what you would see paid to any Amazon affiliates...right?

You talk about 'her" but the author appears to be male - not sure WHAT book you plan to put on Clickbank or how "set up an account for myself" is related. Do you have the author's permission to do anything to promote the book?

I will try to make this simple.

What is the title of the book you wish to put on clickbank.

You cannot list an Amazon delivered product (i.e. a Kindle book) on ClickBank.

Both are retailers.

It would be like going to the Barnes & Noble web site to order a book from Amazon.

If the author has the ability to deliver the product directly to the buyer (as opposed to delivery through Amazon) - the author can set the product up on ClickBank so that Clickbank affiliates can promote it.

If the author does NOT have the ability to deliver the product directly, they cannot set ClickBank up as the retailer.

Here's something no one has mentioned yet. Clickbank typically attracts affiliates or wannabe affiliates by promising high percentage commissions on higher priced products (e.g., 50-75% on a $47-$97 product).

You want to use CB to promote a free ebook to promote a Kindle book, where typical prices are $2.99-$9.99.

Even at CB commission levels, you're looking at $1.50 - $5.00, minus CB's cut.

Now, factor in the methods affiliates typically use to promote CB products.

Many rely on "free" traffic, i.e. SEO driven review sites. Amazon is going to dominate the listings for a book title, author search, etc. This will scare off most affiliates.

Many rely on PPC traffic, like Bing ads or Facebook ads. The low commission will scare many of those affiliates off because the Earnings Per Click is likely to be way too low.

Just listing a product on Clickbank does not guarantee the thousands of affiliates they claim. You still have to woo potential affiliates, especially the small percentage that make most of the sales.

If you/your client actually have the right to distribute this book directly, outside the Amazon ecosystem, I'd look for joint ventures that could land you bulk sales, like veterans groups, American Legion posts, even the PX on military bases if you have physical copies available.
