Is it okay to put https scripts on a http page?

Do you know if it's okay to put https scripts on an http webpage?
These scripts will use javascript, place cookies, etc.
The reason I want to do this is because our site has an SSL certificate on it and Google is beginning to rank some of our https pages (even though we're still using those pages as http versions). However, the scripts aren't working because the https page won't load an http script/javascript.
So can I put https scripts on an http page? So they will work onb both the http or https versions of the page?
