HELP: Youtube links not working!!

by Simple Marketing 16 replies
I just noticed this today. Links in the description to the right of the actual youtube video are not working.

Here is an example (not my vid btw)
. I can not click on the site featured beside the video, its just not showing up as a link, although its still in bluetext. (just noticed u will have to click through and watch the video on youtube to see what Im talking about)

I tried this on both my computers which are vista and using latest versions of IE. It works ok in Firefox though.

Anyone else??

They had a notice up last night saying they were doing an upgrade or maintenance. Maybe they are still not up and running yet?

Not sure..Then why allow links in the first place?

That last video is a little creepy. The first water shot almost looks like me when I was at Disney World in Florida when I was a kid. They had this thing that would shoot water out like that. I remember standing up on it and getting sprayed.

On the link issue... I am sure it is the same as it always is. Once Internet Marketers exploit a marketing benefit to a site... it eventually gets removed. What a tragedy. Unless they are only removing it from certain users. Were you a bad girl, misako?

Did YouTube spank you and send you to bed with no supper?

            Just kidding.

I just send my link on the right of my video on youtube that was googleadvertise.com and it worked. Maybe your internet explorer has security settings wrong.

                Update:

I just notice when u click "more info", that links in the more info section work.

Example (funny vid - skit on Superchef Gordon Ramsay)

For anyone with this problem notice how the link comes live after pressing more info.

Works fine on this one, spawned from WF "controversy" over slide-show videos:

Ok so at least we know that some people are suffering from this problem, but most who have replied are not.

Could it really be a problem with browser security settings as suggested by googleadvertise? Well it was ok yesterday.

I asked my friends from different countries to view my video, and they say it works fine? Maybe its a regional setting?

Well you are in Japan and I am in Ireland so...I dont know...

Ive visited the youtube community forum and there are a few reports from others also suffering from this problem.

Also I called into my local libary yesterday, and also had the problem there on their computer.

I would really appreciate it, if people would check some youtube videos and see if you can click links in the description box without any problem and report your findings here.
