Deep thinking questions about startup online business

Hi,

to the professional marketers here in WF who have experience in online business and make stable income of it.

Topic:

I miss in big stories about successful online startup entrepreneurs who got their content viral by 100.000 of shares and all that hype;

A deep step by step plan in detail how they have done that, you not find that in the story itself or on amazon kindle books who are fluffy.

So I have make a list of deep thinking questions, I'm looking for an answer to all these questions.
You will think; yeah marco ist overthinking- No.

Startups often fail, because they do not known these things who are important to make their business successful. They not have knowledge about; make content viral, get high opt in rate, get an high open rate, get instantly conversion selling rate of 6-7% from it, make stable income every month for the next 5-7 years.

So there are my list of deep thinking questions, I'm looking for an answer;
Note: everyone who will tell me that is impossible to get stats from an published post (guest post) and then get stats from the wordpress website (as squeeze page) is a liar.

Deep thinking questions to build an stable income online business;

a) how make my content viral, where to publish it to go viral without spend money ?
b) how get accepted by big influencers, so the content can be go viral?
c) best method detail step by step to setup FB campaign with small budget to make content viral and get more than 1000 subcribers in my list- and then grow the list up ?
d) best method/squeeze page model - to get high op in rate?
e) best method to get high email list open rates?

Go deeper now to get an stable income every year in your niche, with selling own digital products in price range above $200 (as example) also high ticket products.

f) does the list make stable money every month, also 6-7% conversion rate every month with that high ticket product?
g) does the list make only one time sales with that high ticket product?
h) what is to do when the list only make one time sale (sales only in one month) ?
i) make these sales again, is it necessary to create a new high ticket product after 2-3 months?
j) also create new high ticket products in quarter is necessary to make sales again with that 6-7% conversion rate?

k) does this business model work stable for the next 5-7 years?
l) is it necessary to renew the email list after 3-4 years, also renew the list with new subscribers?

So you see without that to know, it is not possible to create a business plan. What will you write in the business plan without knowing these questions?

Look at professional marketer's like Frank Kern, Yaro Starak, and many many others who make stable income, more than $100.000 every year with their own digital products.
They have knowledge about these questions, most startups not have it.

What do you mean?
Do you have an answer on that or can recommend good deep detail step by step guide's where I can learn this?

Businesses usually fail because they don't follow their business plan that they (should have) carefully created.

They fail because they are not doing proper accounting. They spend their way into a hole.
This also includes regular inventory counts.

They can also fail because the owner/manager didn't understand their "market" well enough.

I think you are getting ahead of yourself. You need to get the foundation of the business in order before you even bother with conversion rates, viral stuff, etc.

    1. Find an experienced (successful) mentor
    2. Learn about your market
    3. Carefully create a business plan
    4. Keep your overhead costs low
    5. Always test the market before committing to a bulk order of inventory. Don't buy a batch of stuff first thing, no matter how good the deal.
    6. *Personal advice* Don't be a reseller. Sell your own creation instead.

Ehhh....following your guru too closely is a mistake. They can do things you cannot, like forcing their funnel to work by putting cash into leadgen...and having a high ticket front or upsell offer the newbie is too scared to make or doesn't have the skill to fulfill. That price level allows choices the newbie does not have.

Looking for The One Right Way is a mistake. That's for the newbies, not in response to your post, marco. Most of your questions are good.

The first thing I would do is find a market who tell you they have a problem...that you can fix...and then confirm that by selling the solution. Most people go about this in the wrong direction: they come up with the solution (product/service) first and then go around looking for people to sell it to.

If you're creating a business plan to raise funding, most investors will look at the strength of the business concept and the experience or credibility of those running the business. Obviously, the numbers will need to make sense, but nobody expects them to be that accurate - at least not for any period longer than the first year. Any business plan that claims to lay the foundation for the next 5-7 years is just theoretical.

A business plan for your own purposes needs to be realistic, but flexible. You'll almost certainly tweak it - even radically deviate from the original - as you go on, but it can serve to keep you focused on the master plan.

    Marco,

You have been a member here for many years and should know that asking many "deep thinking" (as you put it) questions in one thread is a bad idea. No members can take the time it would require, even if they have all your answers, to explain these things in any detail in one post!

Take for instance your question: (c) "best method detail step by step to setup FB campaign with small budget to make content viral and get more than 1000 subcribers in my list- and then grow the list up?"

You're asking for answers you'd find in a comprehensive e-book or training course. No one can take the time to do that in a forum post!

I would suggest you just focus on asking one simple question at a time. You will get better responses and people will be happy to help.

Just as a final observation on your comment below . . .
"Look at professional marketer's like Frank Kern, Yaro Starak, and many many others who make stable income, more than $100.000 every year with their own digital products. They have knowledge about these questions, most startups not have it."
Startups and new business owners can't be expected to have the same knowledge as seasoned and experienced successful marketers. People that make a full time income from IM mostly do so after years of learning, trial and error, and testing to see what works best for them. At times, having a mentor helps - but not always.

My point is . . . it's obvious you're trying to short-cut your own IM education and learning. You want all the answers given to you in a forum post - and that isn't going to happen.

No one, especially startups who don't try to "experience" marketing rather than have all the answers handed to them are going to be successful in this business.

The very best to you in IM,

    Steve

Yes I know that it is not possible, to get all the answers in one forum post.
But you can recommend good deep step by step guide's or course's (on fair price) who can answer these questions?

    Helpful guides are needed to answer these questions;

Guide or course step by step to get 1.000 subscribers without spend money- or how get 1.000 subscribers with guest posts, how many guest posts needed to write and where to publish them?
How do FB group marketing with small budget.
How get steady stream of FB traffic without spend money.
How build email funnel so, that it make money every month of it- through the year.
How promote own high ticket product in email list to make stable income through the year, every year.
How get content viral with doing guest post the right way.
How get accepted by big influencers to publish own content and make them viral.

I be sure that there a guide's and course's around the web who can give an answer on these questions, with a fair price not $900-200 each course....startups with small budget not have this amount of money.

It is the same with guest posts. I have contacted some marketers and have asked them how many guest posts are needed to get 1000 subscribers to my list?

The answer they gave me was; "That is not possible to answer this question".
I know that this is a lie.
    Why?

When I have login to a big website as author, so I see the stats from any content I have published on that website- right?

And then in the backend of my wordpress squeeze page, I can see the traffic stats and where they came from- right?
So when these marketers telling me, that is not possible to make a notation about that question, they are liars.

Sure it will depend on the niche, the quality of the content and the traffic of the website who is published the guest post, but a marketer who makes money and have some years of experience can not answer me that- or this marketer not have stats of his published content and stats of his traffic sources in the backend of his website?

Come on, I not believe that.

Seems like if you don't like the answer - you simply call it a lie.

everyone who will tell me that is impossible to get stats from an published post (guest post) and then get stats from the wordpress website (as squeeze page) is a liar...
When I have login to a big website as author, so I see the stats from any content I have published on that website- right?
Not necessarily. How many 'big websites' have you posted guest articles on? How many of those have provided you with insider access to all their files and stats?

What I don't understand is the 'lies' label and the insistence on having a long list of questions answered. If you don't believe the answers you get - maybe the answers are right and you are wrong? Something to consider?

Your questions are not bad - but you assume someone can teach you what YOU want IM to be: building a list for no money, making a funnel that makes money every month, training that is cheap or free, your own high ticket product for 'stable income'...etc. You mention several times you want things to 'go viral' as if that is something you (or anyone) can guarantee (you can't).

Every question you ask has been discussed here many times in the 8 years you've been a participating member of the forum. There are tons of free 'guides' online for every question you ask - but they may tell you 'it doesn't work that way' or 'there are no guarantees' or 'you need to invest some money to do that'.

An answer that isn't what you want it to be may not be 'a lie' - it may be 'an education'. Think about the answers/advice you get before you label everything 'a lie'.

    @KayKing,

an example: you write guest posts to different websites as an accepted author. So when on these websites you can not login to see stats of your content, so you see the stats in your wordpress squeeze page backend- with traffic plugins or with the google analytics tool, so you can see from which topic and keywords the traffic is come from, or not?

Yes I be a member here since 8 years and have learned so much here on the WF. So I have Ideas about my business.......
    and I can thinking deep.......

I not have found wso tutorials here who can answer me these questions, specially build a funnel so that I make money every month with an email list, I see sketchy of long complicated funnels with upsells but it not tell me, whether this funnel make me money every month or one time sales.

I not have found a tutorial or course who tell me how often I must create and launch new products, every month, quarterly, or 1 in a year?

I not have found a tutorial/ course who tell me to get accepted by influencers who can make my content go viral....

or get steady traffic from FB for free....
how setup an FB campaign so, that this get me 1000 subscribers...

    Nope, sorry.

Yes I have contacted some marketers with personal email who have experience and all tell me, they not known how often their products make sales (one time sales or every month) or how often they must create new products to make sales (every month or quarterly).

When Jon Morrow got his post going viral, is it forbidden that he tell us how he had make that, how much he had spend on FB ads or on Twitter promotion or not? Which influencers he had? Is it forbidden to tell us? How much fans his FB page has who can sharing his content (with 0 fans you will not go viral) ? Or which websites other platforms he use to rank his content in google / or make that going viral.....???
That is forbidden to tell us?

When you do a local business a market/niche where you have knowledge, you know how where and when to advertise in branch papers or newspapers, you know in which units to sell your products to clients, you know when it is season.....and so on, etc, etc,etc.....

And then you tell me you not knowing that...
Sorry, but this is implausible. When you not knowing that all, no bank will give you an bank credit- nope.

    I not a stupid sheep.

    best wishes

    @Pete Rose,

the same with sharp videos to gain attentions...
some videos get 5- 10.000 views in short time, but how they make that?

I not have knowledge about that, except share video short text on FB or Twitter and then wait and trink tea, to see will it gain 1000's of views.....

Marketing is a science, a profession that you learn on University, so they not play Lotto or Roulette when it comes to business, ok they are not 100%, but they know what is to do to make video viral, content viral, setup campaigns to get target number of email leads, they know such things.

    best wishes

    • Just google each of your questions and you'll find massive amounts of information.

Why don't you know how these videos got so many views so fast? Even with the most basic knowledge about YouTube you would instantly see their channels have massive amounts of subscribers and by googling the names of the channels you will probably discover social media accounts that provide their new videos with thousands of viewers.

Well, you sure don't seem to be able to grasp simple concepts that people lay out for you.

The people who succeed in this business figure things out. They don't expect everything to be handed to them by people who have put a lot of time, effort and money into finding the answers.

If you are having so much trouble maybe it is not for you.

    Hi Marco,

"I miss in big stories about successful online startup entrepreneurs who got their content viral by 100.000 of shares and all that hype"

Looking for these stories shows that you're trying to get big results, fast, which is a recipe for failure. Virtually all the viral online post folks maintained a viral online presence for years, being everywhere, helping folks, building bonds, without any one creation gaining much acclaim, but business grows steadily....then one day, the dam breaks and something goes viral.

Most people ignore the 3 to 5 to 10 years of work, and focus on the outcome, falling flat on their face, struggling like hell because they do not put in the 3 to 5 to 10 years of work.

3 weeks ago a friend and I did a test podcast on Sound Cloud. So far it has 41,000 plays. How? 2 guys working their tails off for 10 years, helping people and building bonds, command the followings that help co-create 41,000 plays on a podcast. Sounds viral but in truth we gave our lives to building thriving online business over 20 years collectively, so all of our persistent giving results in some sweet getting these days.

Yes you can see results on YOUR site - but not the stats from the site where you were a guest poster.

    What you posted was:
"When I have login to a big website as author, so I see the stats from any content I have published on that website- right?"

A 'big website' where you are a 'guest poster' is unlikely to give you full access to THEIR stats.

You are looking for "the way" and no amt of marketing education can guarantee a viral video, a successful product launch or a top ranked blog. Trial and error is a big part of any business and that may be especially true online.

  • You're already focused on too many needless things, in my opinion. Focus on one thing at a time. Like what you are going to promote, for starters. Trying to find out whats the "best method" of anything is a waste of your time, as whats best for someone else will not be whats best for you and whatever you're selling.

Here are the critical questions that every startup should answer -

    1. What's your story?

    2. What are your core values?

    3. What will the customer experience be like?

    4. What does your voice sound like?

    5. Who do you know that can help you?

    6. Are you leveraging the right tools for success?

    7. Are you ready for the road ahead?
