Deep thinking question about advertising your content

Hi,


Say you want to start a new blog. You do not have a list and no money.
You have just written 5 beautiful articles and decide that it is high time to make it known.I know that you have to spend 20% of your time on content creation and 80% on broadcasting.


My question is: where and how to distribute the content to make it known please?

I may be wrong but I think that someone had made a mega list in this forum on all means to broadcast content but I can not find the post anymore.

    that's a good question and I hope someone can find a link to that list for us.


    In the meantime what I do to get my articles to rank on Google quickly is once I have uploaded them to my Wordpress site I create a small video using Screenomatic with a link to my article and then I put the article in the Youtube description area


    Once I have uploaded the video to Youtube I find that my article will rank in Google often within a few minutes.


    Then I click on all of the social sharing button beneath the Youtube video to share the video on Facebook and Twitter etc.


    This will get you traffic from Google and Youtube.


    Hope this helps.

    Alot of the links in that thread is non-existent anymore, but still some are useful. I think Ged's strategy for promoting your content is spot on. I'm just glad no one said "article directory".

    I would have suggested link exchanges (where everybody agrees to show banners for the others in the group), Free-For-All Links pages, and Usenet Newsgroups.

    Unfortunately, spammers and scammers, along with their automated digital manure spreaders, drove them out of business over a decade ago.
