Question about posting product prices on Amazon Affiliate program

There's a rule in Amazon that says you're not allowed to post product prices as it changes frequently and makes older posts outdated. Ignoring this rule may result in getting ban from the program.

When I learn it, I've got two choices to make:

1. Search for WordPress plugin that lets Amazon product prices to be automated.

2. Don't mention prices at all in a content and instead write this in CTA button: "Click here for latest price".

Problem is, the first one are available only for pro and can't afford it right now. As for the second one, it doesn't look helpful to buyers and I may get less conversion.

So guys, what will you advice me to do? All helps are appreciated.

    yes you are right regarding the pricing issue and I have seen people that have sold their websites on Flippa as their accounts have been banned for this reason and it does seem very harsh.


    I have seen Amazon products advertised with a strip across the top of the website which includes latest prices.


    This might be the Amazon Sitestripe - if you log into your Amazon affiliate account and search for this you can find out more.


    Otherwise another good option is to install a comparison plugin if you have a Wordpress site these can be free or cost just a few dollars, then compare different products and links to the products without displaying the price.


    Visitors will then have their interest piqued and often click on one of the links to the product and there is a good chance for a sale and commission for you!

    Have you gone to Amazon and used the actual Banner links they have? You can chose your product to promote and use the Amazon banner links to get people to go to Amazon. That may help you with instead of the CTA Button. Amazon's links will get them over to their site and may help increase your conversions. That's what I have used, even if they end up buying something totally different you still get a commission and don't have to worry about the current price.

    Until you can afford what you want, I'd stick with the banners and text links that Amazon provides. In the meantime, you can check out all the different scripts out there. Fresh Store builder is pretty cool.

    Hello,
    To do this right, two options to choose from, I also build lots of amazon sites, so here is the answer.

    I use a custom theme that has built in price updating on it's own, or just copy amazon affiliate link and it will show price to product, so there is never no reason to worry about price, since the theme does all the work, you don't even set prices in theme, it will just show all prices for the products you choose and done.

    Now there are many themes to choose from, some do not work for price updating, you have to know which one is the best, I have testing many, so when you do choose one, just make sure auto updates for price is working right, before trial period is up on theme that you purchase.
