Paypal INSTANT Payment and Paypal INSTANT DISPUTE...

Warriors:

This has happened twice in the last week...

Someone buys something and INSTANTLY, they file a paypal dispute saying that it was an unauthorized transaction.

All my products have UNCONDITIONAL Money back guarantees - ask and you get it.

WHY would they file this dispute and WHY say it was unauthorized?

I mean - if it was REALLY an unauthorized transaction, they wouldn't know it within 1 minute of the purchase being made - right? It would take some time for them to discover that there was a transaction made on their account.

But the filing of the dispute just rocks my world when they could send just an email with one word: REFUND

Any thoughts on this? I am puzzled....

Yup, you'll probably find they're just doing it to get your content to upload to warez sites. I've had a couple of those instant disputes too, despite the fact I have a trial version available for people to test before they buy. I'm now resorting to additional (need I even say it, expensive) protection schemes for the programs now that I've seen this happening more and more frequently.

      Interesting....

The ad clearly said that it was a MEMBERSHIP site that was password protected - so it wouldn't be anything they could download and then upload to a warez site.

    Hi,

"They" probably do not want to become known as serial refunders so they just play the victim and claim unauthorized purchase. And of course if "someone" has their PayPal log in info then they will just have to claim this several times. All the while ending up with the items paid for.

This is of course if the refunder is the scammer.

    winebuddy,

Can you make sure they can't get into your membership site after the refund?

      Hey George,

Yeah - I delete them after the refund and they cannot get back in.
