FB AD nightmare

I opened a FB AD account to promote my business . It got deactivated before I could place an ad. There is no reason for it to be deactivated. I made all changes the automated response asked me to, a dozen times! I have reported the issue that many times as well and it seems I am locked in a vicious cycle of automated responses that accomplish nothing. Can I delete that ad account and start over? Can I reach a real human? Is there anything I can do to get past this block which has been going for two weeks? Or can I just never use FB ads from this point forward?

    Amazing. I've never heard of this pattern being reported of others - as they mostly claim that FB ads is equivalent to Adwords. Is this happening mainly in the internet marketing/MMO niche, or all niches altogether?

      I'm in NW US. I did have an ad designer overseas who was on my ad account who tried to place the first ad. It is then that the deactivation occurred. I explained all that multiple times to FB.

        That's your problem right there. Your overseas' designer's IP and your US IP conflicted.

        When I manage clients' FB ad campaigns I use a VPN so my IP is the same as the client's.

        Either you handle everything yourself (after getting graphics from your designer) or you use a similar VPN-based system for outsourced work

            Ok that sounds reasonable and ls likely the cause of the original deactivation, but how and where do I get FB to listen and understand? All of my dealings have fallen into an automated black hole. Also I have already explained this on the form multiple times and on two occasions FB has replied that the are sorry for the inconvenience and my issue was fixed, yet on my end it has never been fixed. That is why I am at a loss.

            Thanks Tom. Ok, Plan B. Is there any way I can just delete my ad account and open a new ad account and start over? My accounts are all tied to my FB page so I'm worried about getting into a deeper hole than I already am in, but if I could just start over all would be right with the world. However I think FB will automatically reply that all ad accounts have to be in good standing to make changes. Thoughts?

              You don't want to make another account, no. Seriously, take the advice up top. FB are inundated with BH accounts so you run the risk of being lumped in/ confused with them. In the meantime, whilst you wait on the issue getting resolved (which it will), sod Facebook and buy your traffic elsewhere. If you'd rather stick to FB, run some organic strategies in the meantime. No idea about the size of your presence on FB but, dependant on size, you can generate quick traffic while FB Ads get you sorted. Tell you what - this highlights what I've been saying since the start with FB Ads: give us a better way to chat to you! It's bloody bonkers, isn't it?

                Thanks for the reasoned response. I am new to marketing. I have quality, popular products I create myself for a particular niche and when they are in front of that niche they sell well. I am not tied to FB. Do you have recommendations for comparable or better ways to drive traffic to my Amazon listings or my website?

                  No worries; glad to help.

                  If you're taking the paid ad route, look at YouTube. You'll need to do your research and work out what video ads will work best for your products, and perhaps get the video made, but it's more than worth the effort; video ads rock. If you have an affiliate prog, then you can even save money and forget about buying ads on YT. Just reach out to relevant creators and offer them a special affiliate deal; that's what I do. Or take both routes.

    Yes, its true. FB is very strict over AD. I have lost $50 because of that.
    For any single issue they can block your Account permanently and can take your all loaded money.
    I have contacted with their team but they are saying: They Cant do anything for that.

    Yo mate,recently I faced the sample problem,but finally I gave up appealing.Facebook will never give you a manual reply.So the best way is open a business ads account via FB ads agency.

    Thank you for the advice. I'll use it next time. I gave up appealing, and lo and behold, I checked back a couple days later (just one last angry time) and my account was active. I have ads up now! This has provided some great lessons in what a house of cards Facebook is (and probably other platforms), how easy I can be shut down for little or no reason. So the lesson is to diversify and be as careful as possible. Thanks again!
