How do I get traffic, subscribers, followers, without paying for ads?

SITUATION:

Trying to build my hobby/passion eventually into a business

Have a new-ish blog/website with some good content and trying to keep it going each week

Doing Facebook / Twitter / Instagram daily for 3 months, intermittently 3 months prior to that

Youtube channel about 10 videos so far, trying to start uploading 1 per week if possible

Have an email list with free lead magnet that I'm offering in all social posts and on my website everywhere, have about 80 subscribers

Just started adding affiliate links into my content to at least try and make a little money to re-invest back into things but I know it will take lots of validated traffic to happen.

Social media is killing me, particularly the facebook page changes that have cut me off from my audience, not that I had much going on there anyway (only 300 Page Likes and low engagement)

In general, having trouble getting traction, followers, growth, traffic to site, subscribers, etc.

PROBLEM:

I can't afford to buy ads, boost posts, pay for fancy services or tools, etc. Don't have much money, and don't yet have a product to sell or way to make money back (no ROI possible from expenses...yet)

QUESTION:

Without spending money, what would be the 3-5 most effective and impactful actions / tactics I could do (which are "up to date" with 2018) that just take elbow grease, to get more traction, more followers, more newsletter subscribers, more traffic to my website, etc.?

I think my priority goals right now are quality website traffic, validated optins, and YouTube subscribers.

Thank you

Facebook Automation tools to post your ads. This is very saturated though, your best bet is to go with paid traffic. Everything else IMO is a waste of time usually, long-term.

Perfect reply. I am also trying to figure out what is the best paid ad. Facebook is saturated, adwords squeeze as much money as they can. Bing i think can be a good one. If any other please inform.

Yes, it is true. I have tried these 3 ad platforms, Facebook ads do not give me great results, the traffic I get from ads is not enough targeted compared to search engine advertising.
Based on my experience Bing and Google Adwords are good choices for getting targeted traffic.
However, Google Adwords can give me more traffic than Bing but the price is also more expensive and ROI is not good enough. So I only use Bing Ads now, even though the traffic is low but this is highly targeted. It's all about quality, not quantity.

Content is the key. You have to continuously post original high-quality content to drive traffic to your site and post it on your social media outlets. Think of a content that will be trending and viral about your niche. You also have to grow your audience and increase your followers. Join groups and interact with people within your niche.

    1. Keep posting regularly.
    2. Share your posts in Social medias(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc..)
    3. Participate in forums and leave your website or blog post url in your signature or in your contents.
    4. SEO - This is main for getting more traffic & get ranking in SERP.

    • I agree. If you want it free, it won't be fast. But you will get good traffic and a legitimate following if you follow the 4 tips above.

AND if you're doing social media, engagement is another thing you can do to build traffic faster and for free. People are more likely to follow you if you comment, like, and share other people's posts.

    Squirrel,

IMO, the answer is to get in front of very targeted traffic, people that are a perfect fit for your content and offers. Social media, in general, is not where you need to be. Why? Because without money to laser focus your marketing, it's awfully difficult to get traction and engagement on social media.

If I were you, I'd take some time to figure out ways to get seen on web sites, in groups, in directories, and in forums, etc, that are focused on your niche. Social media is not the place to be for a deeply niched topic.

Do a search on your very best keyword phrases. See what results come back and see if you can't get some content or make some posts on those high ranking niche sites. Doing "free" marketing takes time, creativity and patience . . . but it can be done and it gets easier the more you do it!

    The very best to you.

      Steve,

I love this reply. One of the things I like most about it is that it's outside of the box and counter to most advice that just says to do more social media. It flat out makes sense. I love being creative, so this gets me inspired actually. Your advice is pure gold, as was your advice you gave me in a prior thread/question I made a while back. You are full of wisdom and excellent perspective. Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Invest your time & efforts in building bots. Its a great business model. If you can set up some mission-critical, custom bots, you're a winner.

Many top YouTubers use bots in massive scale. One I personally know sends tens of thousands of friends requests in MySpace per hour. People make 6-7 figures but very secretly because they don't prefer to boast about their income & leave any footprints by botting popular social sites from YouTube to Pinterest.

No WSO or book can give you a proper guidance about that because there is none. People who do this, including me, have spent countless hours in programming and know the loopholes of YouTube and FB very well.

Last time, I spammed YouTube to death by making more than 12 mil. quality comments. Sure, its a cat and mouse game, but its worth it, if you want challenges.

Alright, bots are computer programs; for example, you would like to download Google images, but don't have much time or patience to right-click and save. You can assign that task to a bot that can download and save all images against a search query in your disk within a couple of minutes.

Now, you got hundreds of search queries and you need to build a database of thousands of images; no problem, a bot can do that very easily.

Write down what you're trying to accomplish, then contact a developer if he/she can do that on-the-fly. You can try to build a bot that embeds YouTube videos in various niche specific forums and video sharing sites dynamically. It'll give an extra boost in your videos.

For social media, use tools to grow quality followers by following relevant topic account followers (doesn't apply for Facebook). Then use Buffer & Hootsuite to automatically post to your social media account and to large social groups (Facebook groups, Pinterest groups, Google+ groups). That will save you a lot of time (but don't expect miracles). Join also forums and publishing sites where you audience is, post and interact with them. Try to get your link in high traffic sites relevant to your topic. SEO will bring you long term free traffic (but its not easy and will take alot of time). To apply On-Page SEO, search for 'Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide - Google', read it twice and replicate the same for your website (it worked perfectly well for my eCommerse site). Then work on the Off-Page SEO (backlinks).

Hi, sounds like you are looking for a quick fix, but really there isnt one, unless you have money to play with, which I see you dont. Here is my advice

1.) Post daily on youtube. Weekly is not enough
2.) Share your video uploades across other social media platforms. Twitter especially.
3.) Make good use of keywords when posting socially so you reach the most targeted audience.
4.) Visit a couple of other platforms like reddit, stumble upon etc to spread your word.
5.) See how that goes, but keep posting your content. Traffic will increase as you gain more market exposure.

    Good luck

    Chris

Thanks, good idea to try a few other social platforms that are more off the beaten path just to see what happens. I'm kind of afraid of Reddit because I feel like my content will be stolen and shared without credit more than on other platforms, but maybe that's just due to all of the memes that have come out of there!

Would love to post daily on Youtube but I just don't know if I have the time to make it happen - at least not within the bounds of my current standards for the type and quality of content - the production and editing take time. But I'll see what I can do.

Flying Squirrel...just like your name you are flying all over the place and not getting any 'traction' anywhere.

This is a common problem that most new marketers face...trying to 'conquer' multiple beasts all at the same time.

    And...

    Believe it or not...

Paid ads are not a quick fix.

This is a common misconception among new marketers.

It can take you months (3 - 6) just to learn (1) paid marketing strategy.

And this learning will cost you $$$ just to learn.

You mentioned social media platforms but what you need to understand is that each one of those deals are a full time gig.

I dont mean that you need to quit your job in order to start getting traction from them.

What I mean is that for someone who is not getting the results that you want yet...that you will need to put all over your focus into just (1) one of these ideas.

I know some marketers who have already freed themselves from their jobs just using Facebook alone.

The key with any of these ideas is to 'position' yourself as an authority.

This will take sometime as well.

You tube is also a very powerful vehicle if used properly but its also needs the majority of your focus.

So I recommend that you rethink things and ONLY choose (1) marketing strategy, learn it and Master it!

    Now about your expenses...

Just like all of us when we started out...

You will have to pay out of pocket for those.

Forget about profits for now and start focusing on skill sets.

you can try to join some facebooks groups with content related to what you are promoting ,and try to reach the folks over there with good contents, also, you can try to join forums where people are interested on what you are promoting ,and also try to catch members attention over there with precious contents, where you could add some referals to your page, to drive them over there. P.S avoid to sound spammy!! Hope this helps. good luck dude.

Steve B. said it good but I want to add my 2 cents.

    1. Do keyword research to find out the best keywords in your niche. Since most keyword research tools cost money, use the Google keyword planner. You have to sign up for Adwords to access this. Plust the search volumes are very general, but you can at least get some good keyword ideas.

    2. Post content often, either on a Youtube channel, or a blog, that is centered around those keywords. When I say often, I mean every single day, and if that's not possible, as often as you can.

    3. Join groups and forums in your niche and participate to get your name out there.

This will build up your audience to massive amounts because of #1, your presence within your niche and #2, google sending organic traffic eventually because of your keyword research. However, it takes time at least 3-6 months to get decent traffic, and longer to get massive amounts. A lot of work up front for a big reward later.

This tactic has been proven to work by someone you should be following on Youtube... Miles Beckler. Search Youtube for him and when you get to his channel, search for his 90 day challenge. You'll like what you see.

Your best bet is following these steps:
    1. Research your competitors most popular articles and the keywords they are based on. You need to write about topics that are already proven to be successful.
    2. Write 10x content on those few select topics with a killer headline.
    3. Forget about social media, SEO and other things people tend to recommend. Instead get in touch with the biggest influencers in your niche and offer them to syndicate your articles that will bring huge value to their audience and traffic to their sites. Be smart in your emails. Show them that you love their work and you can give them massive value. Research the best ways to reach out to influencers to syndicate your content. Leave your link to your landing page in the syndicated article (or guest post) and leverage the huge (and sustained) traffic that otherwise you'd never get for free. Enjoy the quality backlink too.

That's your answer basically. You are off to a good start with the massive effort you've put into your website already. These steps are finally going to make a real difference for you.

    All the best to you.

    You're on the right path.

If you can make daily YouTube videos with strong keyword research then you'll be onto something.

The videos should be short - 90 seconds to 2 minutes - and focused. Just a single tip you can cover well.

Blogging. Well, it works, but it's a bit more pay to play these days. If you have truly useful and interesting content then you can do outreach with good effects.

The key is to reach out to people who'd be interested. If you're talking fitness then nutrition, lifestyle, and other fitness blogs are a good place to start.

KNock on your competitions door. They love being mentioned. So mention them. They'll likely give you a share on social media because you're validating them.

IT's a slog. A lot of rinsing and repeating.

The reason most fail is because they give up waaay too early.

for opt-ins, look at the common questions in your niche from a place like Quora or even a niche specific forum. The most pressing problems will come up over and over again.

Social media, is mostly pay to play these days. I hate to say it but it's the simple truth. Even if you can only invest a few dollars a day, it'll yield fruits. Just make sure you're tracking it.

I wouldn't advise spending much more than $20 a week or so since you don't have a product. You're spending the money on market research as opposed to lead generation and sales.

I think you definately are doing too much things.

Lots of people told me: i have done 45 things to achieve the goal, no results, why?

    ...you have just said it!

FOCUS on LIST BUILDING: use solo ads. or use ppc. Focus on ONE METHOD to Build a List.

Use ONE YOUTUBE video with a strong cta TO BUILD A LIST
    OR
Use fb ads to build a list
    OR
use blog post promotion (BETTER NOT, if u don't have enough money it's useless).

Use online marketing strategies to get subscribers & followers or either you can do SEO off-page optimization for your website. It could be that you are thinking of too many things at one time that is causing a form of overwhelm in the mind that in turn could be hindering your progress?

A newish site suggests that the authority could be improved and the more authority you get the easier it is to gain traffic (generally speaking)

Therefore I would probably start by:

    Action 1:
Improving on-page quality score of your existing pages by updating the information. I have seen some pages rank on the second page of Google without any backlinks due to the amount of useful information added to the pages... of course that also depends on the popularity of the keyword / phrase you are targeting.
    - Use bullet lists
    - Use tables
    - Sub headers (using related keyword terms)
    - Images with file name similar / same as targeted keyword (breaks up the text on the page.
    - Related words to your targeted keywords (LSI)

    Action 2:
Developing relationships with people in the same niche as you. You can offer them advice, or write for them, make them aware of anything broken on their site etc. Essentially what you are trying to do is set up a bartering system, where you can swap help and in tern you may ask for some back links.
Note, it is important that they are in the same / similar niche to you. So when you get a link back then you are getting a link from a relevant site.
An other way to get some backlinks is by creating some mega guides. Really useful, informative guides and reach out to people who potentially will be interested in the guide (likely they will link to you and / or even share socially)

    Action 3:
You really want to be writing about things that interest people. This is half the battle. This is where most people get it wrong, they want to find ways to get traffic for their existing content, but it is likely they are not getting traffic BECAUSE of the content.
I would use Google Trends to look at what topics are trending in your niche for 2018 and start writing about them.

    SOCIAL NETWORKING
Get a few accounts, but don't try to join them all

There are so many social networking sites but I should have a good spread over the more popular ones. Thankfully, I learned to ignore the 'flash-in-the-pan' newbies that crop up from time to time. I have accounts with most of the most popular sites, and they get plenty of traffic for me to engage with.

    Make the effort to engage

Initially, it felt like hard work to update each of the social media sites with relevant and interesting links to my website. The hard work paid off though, and I'm still reaping the rewards for work I did a long time ago.

More and more people join social media sites every day. These people make new connections, and a whole new set of readers see articles and blogs that I posted months or even years ago.

My thinking is if you are on social media you already have a following, you only need to know how to use it, i.e. how to speak to them, how to identify the right people to network and do business with and you will never have to pay for ads, it's called attraction marketing , you can then nicely turn them into subscribers very easily. Pay attention to what I have just said and you might just have found yourself a golden nugget.

    Best wishes!

Post great content to youtube that helps your subscribers (minimum 4 days per week) and after a while your traffic will start to snow ball.

Do NOTpost a video unless it provides value, asking your email/youtube subscribers is great for content ideas and you'd be surprised what you can help them with.

    Hi FS,

Focus on 2 core activities: create and connect.

If you want to get traffic you give value through your creating and connecting with top folks in your niche.

    Creating

    - write helpful blog posts
    - create helpful videos
    - write helpful guest posts

Seems you are on the right track there.

Connecting (this is where most people screw up)

    - promote top folks in your niche on your blog and social media
    - comment on their blogs in authentic, thorough fashion

If you help big dawgs in your niche without asking for anything in return, for months, and you keep creating helpful content, you form powerful friendships with these influencers. Most IMers are too impatient, desperate or flat out scared to think about helping folks without looking for anything in return. Which is why few IMers are genuinely connected.

    Wow a lot of responses!

Get Tom Addams' Month One WSO. It's all about free organic traffic.

I have NOT used the SEO approach for the past 6 years online. Here's what I've done:

Gone to where people were already, seen what they want, and offered that to them.

Huh. I was going to make an enumerated list. But then it turned out behind each platform, that was the strategy I used again and again. Didn't matter if the platform was a forum or Facebook.

Your job with organic traffic is to engage people where they are, qualify your target market In, and get them to come off that platform to your own "digital turf" where you control a whole lot more of what is going on. So...to a landing page. To your own group. To your own forum.

In one form or another, content marketing has been valuable for me. I don't have to contrive a tactic: I speak to the problems real people share they are having...those problems that I can give a solution to. Could be in a forum post responding to someone's problem. Could be a video I post on YT or FB or LI. Could be an article on one of my blogs. Speaking of blogs, it's February now, isn't it, which means they'll need an update.

Consistency is key. An example: I have been running a sales & marketing blog for 4 years. What have most of the people here been doing consistently for 4 years? Not much. Hopping from boxcar to boxcar on the shiny object train. Their belief in success is outside themselves, which is why they can't stick wtih something longer than three days...the faith in the shiiny object just runs out because it always does. Consistency comes from believing in yourself and committing to a good idea. Traffic, subscribers, followers...these come from believing in yourself, committing to finding and working with a target market, and not looking for gimmicks or shortcuts.

I second that. Most folks, including me, aren't that consistent. As it turns out you can't be much consistent with IM because of its volatile nature. The method/system which worked yesterday may or may not work today. Its frustrating sometimes. Who the heck got so much time to reconfigure everything because of a sudden Google update? That's the reason I personally never considered IM would be my full time profession despite I have been doing it (learning mostly) for the last 5 years, and I have been enjoying it a lot. I have automated everything from blogs to videos, and its totally passive. My bots made me consistent. I refused to trade my time. If everything goes well, I have to work hard full-time for another year or so, then semi-retire at 34.

Punch line: consistency (real human involvement) isn't the key, but the automation. You cannot produce videos everyday for a straight four-year, but you can produce the same quantity of videos within the next four months, if you know how to automate everything like Silicon Valley style. Hope, it helps.

Since you want to do this FREE it is an uphill battle but not the one that cannot be conquered.

You mentioned that you have 80 Subscribers. Which means that you are good at putting a Lead Magnet and Attracting People to Your List. This is a WIN for you. Because with this you can just focus on adding as many subscribers as possible to your list.

Now these 80 Subscribers are here for some reason. You have given them something through all your content that they are interested in. You make them your ardent fans so much that they become your mouth piece.

You create content for them in such a way and ask them to share the content on their Facebook and Twitter followers. When they share your post on their page it will be seen by all their connections. So you start getting traction.

But Content is important. You have to really make very strong content which people like to share. This should be all your focus.

In case you want to go through the ADs route then you need some product to promote. You can create your own product from your experience. Like may be an hour or two hour long video that will teach someone "How to Start Blogging" Explain the entire process of creating a website and then creating a blog etc.

Now send this to your list as at a small price maybe $50. In that video you also link Tools like Hosting Service or Themes etc where you can become an affiliate. Even with 1 person buying the product you can make between $50 to $150. Use this entire amount only to get subscribers.

With this amount you will get between 10 to 50 conversions. Yes always use conversion ads on facebook and keep your target market big. Let Facebook algorithm work for you. Always point the Facebook to your Lead Magnet Page and nothing else not your blog post, not your videos, not anything that does not capture the lead.

You will slowly see that your List will start Growing. When you reach 1000 Subscribers. Things will start becoming better. You can identify some products like high paying affiliate programs and start promoting them to your list. These products have the ability to give you commissions upwards of 1K per sale. Thats when the entire cycle starts working for you.

Online Business is the game of last standing person. So if 1000 people started blogging today. Those who will be successful will be the ones who stand the longest. And out of 1000 people maybe 1 or 2 will be there after a year. These 2 would certainly be successful by then. And then they will be like the Gurus teaching other people how to be successful.

Best of Luck. Stay Focused. Stay Rich.

Use cultivation strategies,Discover the best time to post, Ask questions,Respond to comments/ Show people you are listening and paying attention
What could be worse than going to a Facebook page, leaving a comment and then hearing nothing?

People like feeling special and want to connect, so be approachable and let your audience know you are paying attention to your page.Use positivity,Embed your Facebook posts in your blog,Work to become a valuable resource
If your content doesn't cause your audience to click-through, then your audience isn't going to engage and you will struggle with growing your reach.

The value of your content goes beyond the value it provides. In other words, the right content needs to be posted in the right order to the right audience at the right time.

You're doing what everyone does when they start to give up - you're saying "it's too hard". OF COURSE it's hard, if it wasn't then everyone would be doing it.

Others have mentioned that "content is king". Yes it is. What they mean is that you need to create all kinds of content that provide value for people first. It can be educational, informative, but stop using social platforms as a distribution method for your ad. No one cares about what you're selling yet - you have to give them value first.

Youtube: Put out 3 videos a week minimum. Do this for 2 years minimum before you even CONSIDER quitting.

Facebook: Join many facebook groups around your niche (and start your own) and provide value. Do NOT spam anyone with your product. Become a thought leader and influencer. In other words, know your sh!t so well that others listen to you. Do live videos providing value. Study other posts around your niche that have done well and create your own content that is similar. Also, make sure you are posting plenty of facebook videos along with the live videos.

Instagram: Make people laugh or cry. It's all picture based. Don't get to cliche with it, but study what others successfully have posted and once again create your own content to inform, enlighten, and entertain. Do NOT use this as a distribution platform until you've given so much value that you've earned that right. Make sure you create daily "stories", and make sure you do instagram live videos as well.

    Twitter: Be witty.

Snapchat: Be witty, funny, and entertaining.

Basically in a nutshell, put out 1000% more effort than what you are doing right now. It works. I've built my entire guitar pedal business around it.

Content is king but it takes time , if you have nothing to spend on ads at the moment, you can reach the same results if not better by creating high quality content constantly and videos to build your brand and try to be on all possible social media. Here is what I would do

Step 1: Setup accounts with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Linkedin

Those are the social media platforms where your target audience hangs out. I recommend you do some research to find out which one of those social media platforms you should be focusing on the most.

For example, if you're looking to target millennials, then your time may be better spent on a platform like Instagram or Twitter, but if you were targeting baby boomers then you might find more success on Facebook and Linkedin.

Every niche is different, and it's important to truly understand your niche, and your target audience.

Not everyone will benefit from linkedin, but on the other hand there are niches where linkedin is the only platform you need to build a 6-7 figure business. So, the social media platform you should be focusing on will depend upon your niche and target audience.

Step 2: Block out 1 hour each day to post content to your social media accounts

Once you sign up to the social media platforms I mentioned above, then next thing you want to do is start to produce quality content on your newsfeed, timeline, etc...

The reason for this, is because you want to attract your target audience by speaking to them directly.

It doesn't matter if you've just created a new account and you have zero followers, because I will explain how you can get more followers below. It's important to have content on your profile so when you start getting followers, you will immediately attract your target audience.

Step 3: Use a combination of articles, videos, and surveys to create value and engagement on your social media

The biggest problem most entrepreneurs and businesses have is a lack or a need of more leads.

However, if you focus your attention on creating value and engagement in your niche, then a lack of leads will be a thing of the past.

Let's reverse-engineer the entrepreneurs and businesses that have an abundance of leads. What do they all have in common?

Well, they all have created massive value within their niche, and people are engaging with their message, content, products, and services.

So, if you want an abundance of traffic, prospects, leads, and clients, then you must create massive value within your niche, and get your target audience to engage with you and your business.

One of the most effective ways to do this is by creating high quality content and communicating with your target audience by starting interesting conversations.

You can do this by writing articles, recording videos, posting surveys, asking questions, and talking about topics that are hot and relevant within your niche.
Get people talking about you and your business, by being bold and attracting attention.

Step 4: Automate your social media marketing with hootsuite

Now, if you don't want to spend hours and hours on your computer posting content to your social media, then I recommend you take advantage of this platform called hootsuite. Essentially hootsuite allows you to automatically post content to all of your social media at once.

You can also schedule posts for the future. So, you can literally take a day to create some awesome content, and then use the power of hootsuite to schedule your posts to go out daily.

This will allow you to create value and get people to engage on your social media profiles even while you're sleeping or out and about.

I hope this was helpful and will open your eyes to how simple and effective social media marketing can be for you and your business.

If you want to focus on one platform, try Instagram or Pinterest. You will be able to reach a lot of highly targeted audiences by sheer work and without spending a dime. You have to focus on growing your account on both these platforms, to gain more targeted followers. They do a fantastic job of reaching a large audience for every post you make.

Try not to make all the posts commercial. Build a personality of your profile. As you have a hobby-based business, I am sure you have a lot of content you can show to others. Actively engage with your target audience by hashtags related to you. This does the trick. Becoming an influencer in your field can keep driving consistent traffic to you.

So, you are doing every single work which should attract the traffic but the problem you are facing is, You are not able to divert more traffic towards your website.
I think you should focus on what your targeted audience searches for on the search engine. I mean to say that you should focus on the particular keywords which are normally searched by the people and work on them i.e. do SEO for those keywords.
As much you will get the organic traffic on your website, you will see your website is changing its rank and going good.

Maybe check these links and see if there are any keywords that fit your niche. These words are pretty hot right now, if you don't find any keywords that work you can draw new lines and get different keywords. If you pick a topic that just became popular there won't be as much info out there as topics that have been around for awhile. Your blog posts and Youtube videos should get decent traffic even if the're not that great simply due to less competition. If you are always focusing on topics that have just become popular, you'll be ahead of the vast majority of other marketers. It's kind of like standing at the bottom of a mountain waiting for the avalanche that you know is coming. Good luck.

  • 1. Identify Your Ideal Audience
Example: If your brand provides captivating, entertaining, interesting, insightful, provocative, meaningful and useful content about the hottest news and latest breakthroughs in the world of artificial intelligence, then your ideal target audience MIGHT include the following groups -
    * Professional AI developers;
    * Tech start-up founders and their development staff who are currently trying to conceptualize, build and promote AI products for their target markets;
    * Students and teachers of tech-related subject areas; and
    * Lead tech developers and IT staff of private organizations, universities and public offices ...
    > Note: Keyword is "MIGHT" because this'll be based primarily on your specific circumstances ...

    2. Get to Know Their Interests That Are Directly & Laterally Relevant to Your Brand, Products & Content
Example: If your ideal viewers are tech start-up founders and their tech staff who are presently trying to conceptualize, build and promote AI products, then -
    * They might be interested in the latest frameworks, tools, open source implementations, modules or libraries, news stories and tested cases of AI products newly deployed for general public consumption;
    * They might also be interested in news, tools and so on for the platforms where the latest AI products can be created for and thereby provide optimum utility to its target users, i.e. Mobile, Web, desktop and wearables; and
    * They might also be interested in business strategies, marketing techniques and sales tactics that are currently working for other tech start-ups with AI products directly and laterally relevant to their current and future development projects ...

    3. Get to Know Where They Hang Out on the Web & Which of Those Online Places Are Directly & Laterally Relevant to Your Brand & Content
Example: Using the sample ideal audience mentioned above -
    * They might be hanging out in relevant GitHub repositories where they engage in discussions regarding issues related to some of the open source implementations related to their current and future development projects; and
    * They might also be constantly visiting authority sites, blogs, Web forums, Facebook / LinkedIn groups and Youtube channels related to their current and future AI development projects; and
    * Same goes for online places that are helpful for start-ups in the tech space and various AI-related niches ...

    4. Determine How They Engage & Respond to the Content in Those Online Places Where They Hang Out
Example: Again using the sample ideal audience above, many tech start-up founders and their development staff tend to want detailed and comprehensive information with step by step guides including visual aids as well as use cases, packaged in an organized structure; and
Perhaps a few prefer entertaining video content that's quick and easy to consume because they just usually look for academic materials when they need more details about the subject matter ...

    5. Identify Which of Those Places Allow You to Mingle with Your Target Audience, Discuss Relevant Stuff with Them & Contribute Useful Content to Those Who Need Help
    * Self-explanatory ...

After doing the things above for the industries and niches where you operate in, you can use that data to improve your brand, point of sale outlets, products, services, opt-in offers, content and online promotional campaigns ...
    * Notes: You can further optimize your results when the time comes that you can invest in paid advertising; and
    > I for one prefer to invest in paid advertising right from the get-go, especially when I want to test some things out and find more information about relevant things regarding my target audiences and how they engage and react to my content and offers - This is always part of my investment costs ...

So i suggest simething 100% free that will bring you traffic.

    Its called Influent Marketing...

In essence is asking to influencers of your space to share your content to their audience.
Many will say no but some will say YES... its a question of persistence and consistency.

The only catch is ... you need to have an amazing content to be shared.
If you provide a lot of perceived value you are good to go.

Spent all your time and energy in researching for influencers and make contact with them like huaman beings, not like an object that you want to use and abuse.

On a small budget, with a huge amount of converting traffic... i would have to say Youtube. If you're not too lazy to produce and market some Youtube videos, you can have your converting traffic all on a small budget.

        Some good point there.

I like Youtube for free traffic - especially if you create a channel and interlink videos - one good way to get a lot of free traffic!

Create a good headline for each video with the keyword you are targeting and make sure you use the description box below your video - with about 250 words.

Make sure you put 5-10 keywords in the keyword section and you will be surprised at how well a few small videos can do.

It's possible but if your budget is small you should expect to put in lots of work.

I'm getting a good amount of free pinterest traffic that converts well (not huge traffic but a good amount for a free traffic source), so I'm guessing that paid pinterest would probably have similar results.

It sounds like you might have a limited budget, if so then why not get free traffic and sales then you can use your sales from the the free traffic to buy more traffic.

After all these years I've just realized that durableoil is literally this guys business lol

I kinda just thought it was a screen name, but that makes this a little easier...

I know you must be into cars. Like without a doubt you MUST be into cars.

What do car people like to watch a lot on a certain very popular site that contains videos...

      Youtube!

This might seem like a lot of work, but bust out the camera, use your oil on video, pouring it into your own vehicle etc. Explain the common problems associated with it and make it about the stuff you love.

Since you mention having a small budget, i highly recommend using some software to create some lead / bridge pages for your site, focus on something like youtube or something else that doesn't require a budget at all (just your time).

      Cheers, Jason.

(I won't be overlooking your advice above, Jason. What follows is for everyone.)

      DURABLEOILCOM.

Mate, it looks like you're all over the place. My first piece of advice is the standard one that we throw around in such situations: stick to one thing and try to make it work. You have a 2012 WF start date. My advice: make 2018 the year you make something work.

      So this is the topic:

Getting Huge Amounts of Traffic With Small Budget 2018
I'll give you the broad strokes of a traffic plan. This is for yourself, of course, but mostly it's aimed at anyone looking to take action and start generating traffic on a budget.

I have very little to go on (in terms of what yourself or anyone else can do), plus I'm eager to throw some bacon into my mouth-hole, so what follows really will be quite broad.

      Spoiler:

      1. You'll make content for free.
      2. You'll grow your exposure on free platforms.

That 1 and 2 combination is the surest way to answer the topic.

      One Way.

You want traffic. You have a small budget. We can approach the problem in a thousand different ways. Since bacon is calling ("Tom, come eat me, you sexy beast!"), we'll look at one way.

      The Free Audience.

You need to decide on the right type of audience.

      - Free access to them.
      - Big audience.
      - Engaged audience.
      - Easy to monetize.
      - Long-term potential (evergreen).
      - You know the audience.
      - Audience wants free media.

An example audience: men who want dates, love, one-nighters, and marriage.

The impulse here (because TA has suggested it) is to immediately dive into the dating niche. Avoid the impulse. This is truly just an example to help me lay down the basic plan. (I make "You know the audience" bold for a reason; it's important.)

      Find The Audience.

The type of audience described in my bullet-points will be located in what I like to call "free audience pools." Every few years, the key audience pools tend to change, since new popular platforms are born or die.

In 2018, 7 major pools will be where you'll find your audience:

      1. YouTube.
      2. Facebook.
      3. Instagram.
      4. Twitter.
      5. Reddit.
      6. Google-Plus.
      7. Google.

I could offer up another 47 decent locations to that list of 7, but you need to focus on less platforms at this stage, and my list of 7 is therefore already a little too big. (I'm including the list of 7 so that you have the key locations for my basic traffic plan.)

      Think About Money.

So this is what we know at this stage:

      1. We know the type of audience we want.
      2. We know where to find that audience.

Big question is, how do we earn our mullah?

At this stage, the only action you're taking is thinking and researching. Before you decide upon any developmental action (buying a domain, building a blog, whatever) you need to figure out the answer to money.

If you'r entirely new to the niche (or to online marketing) then the easiest way to answer this question is to look at what other people are doing - look at the competition. Simple question you need to answer: how are they monetizing their traffic?

      Look at these:

      - Websites.
      - YouTube Channels.
      - Social Pages.
      - Social Groups.

Going back to our example (dating), you'll find that the competition is using 5 main forms of monetization:

      1. PPL Affiliate Offers.
      2. PPS Affiliate Offers.
      3. White Label Sites (commission).
      4. Click Bank Digital Books.
      5. Endorsements (selling exposure).

Each niche has the potential to be different, of course. And just knowing even those basics above won't help you too much. You need to reverse-engineer their approach to monetization.

      - Which offers do they push?
      - Which affiliate networks do they use?
      - How do they push their offers?
      - Which monetized media gets most engagement?
      - Which non-monetized media gets most engagement?

Before you decide on how you'll be monetising (initially, in our example, it would be PPL and PPS) you need to ensure the offers are held in high regard by the average consumer. Google them. Make sure people like them. You want to earn money more than once from your consumer; plus you want to sleep well at night.

      Ride The Trends.

What you'll be doing is pushing out content to 6 of our 7 traffic locations. But not just content. The trick is to target trends and apply them (creatively where necessary) to your chosen niche.

These platforms will get your content:

      1. YouTube.
      2. Facebook.
      3. Instagram.
      4. Twitter.
      5. Reddit.
      6. Google-Plus.

These are the trends to be incorporated into your content:

      1. Keyword Trends.

Search terms that are trending across platforms.

      2. Classic Trends.

Topics that have been in fashion for years.

      3. Power Trends.

Hugely popular trends that have a short shelf life.

      4. Style Trends.

Trends in terms of how content is presented.

      5. News Trends.

Items in the news that are trending.

Ensure that literally every piece of content you push out falls under the heading of one of those trends. If you have literally no traffic and you're just starting out, this is the best way to boost traffic very quickly.

      Where You Get Money.

      Primarily:

      1. Affiliate Offers.
      2. Your Own Products.
      3. AdSense (YouTube; when you're in their Partner Program).
      4. Merch'.
      5. Sponsorship (example: Patreon.)
      6. Endorsements.

Look at how your competition is sending traffic to their monetization platforms. Each niche can be different. You need to take the most common route because this will reduce audience resistance to taking action. (In other words: give them what they're used to doing to take action.)

If your competition are using direct links to Amazon Offers? Take that route. If they're sending them to Shopify product pages? That route. If they're hurling traffic at a squeeze (join the squeeze yourself) and monetizing inside e-books or free video courses? That's your route. And you'll likely find that you need to employ a collection of routes.

      The Approach.

      1. Produce media (infused with trending elements.)
      2. Consistently produce the media.
      3. Learn how to grow exposure to it.
      4. Learn how to grow your platforms on which you publish.
      5. Use the media to gain more exposure (viral marketing).
      6. Use the media to grow your followings.
      7. Use the media to grow traffic to monetizations.
      8. Grow your platforms to help with 5, 6, and 7.

This is an influencer model (that anyone can use who has basic ability) wherein you attract attention with media and use that attention to grow your business. You give the public engaging media. They give you, in return, traffic and growth.

      Less Than 1%.

At a guess, I would say less than 1% of anyone reading the above plan will take action (or even be able to take action).

First of all, I notice at least one person who delights in generating signature views by trying to make some of us look foolish (and only making himself look foolish, in actuality). This will turn some people away from the advice.

Second, the plan is not for everyone. It requires you to fill in the blanks (this is, after all, only a forum reply). Furthermore, it requires that you have certain basic skills: you can make videos, produce images, and so forth.

If you fall into the 1%?

Use that plan as a springboard. What you are essentially doing here is content marketing. You're producing media based on trends and using that media to get eyeballs on your media (so they share, generating more traffic, and so they follow you, growing the size of your collected audience) and also your monetized media.

It is actually a very hard plan for the average person (despite being very basic) but a very good plan for the 1%. It relies on your ability to produce quality media and, despite following trends, to avoid following the herd (and thereby offering the consumer a reason to tune in). Consistency and quality content is key, but understanding your audience is the biggest key.

If you know what you're doing, you'll make money on day 1. (That, BTW, is where our friendly neighbourhood troll will have a field day.) But chances are you won't know what you're doing. You'll have a hard slog ahead. And that slog could amount to months before you see any money whatsoever.

      However . . .

      You wanted to know this:

Getting Huge Amounts of Traffic With Small Budget 2018
The plan above? It's one way of doing it. And a very good way.

      Bacon Calls.

That's some quick advice. Hope it helps someone.

      Cheers,

      Tom

Thanks, mate. The plan I laid out is fairly meaty. The trick (if you go that route) is to build your business in phases. It depends on where your strengths lie. (Maybe you setup the entire model, or perhaps do it in parts.) Your goal should be to keep it small and simple and just setup a basic model that earns at little. I think what you probably need is just that first trickle of steady income. Learn to setup a monetized platform and learn to drive traffic and grow even one platform for starters - then build from there. Edit: Google News is a good idea, but you'll need to have a professional website and have it fleshed out, as partly mentioned above. The approval process can take around a month (sooner if you're lucky) but having some age and rep' behind the website won't hurt. I must insist, though, that shouldn't be your sole source of traffic. Why? You'll be leaving money on the table. Diversify. Grow.

          Cheers,

Forget all of the major complexity everyone likes to introduce into this topic. There's really only one answer: Google News.

Get included, start posting at least 5x daily, and watch your traffic sky rocket in a few months. When you're in Google News, you become a lot more visible to big publishers, eg you get links.

If you want to feel you're doing something while making little to no money, invest in social media.

Make sure you have at least 3 authors contributing to your website - hire freelancers initially if you have to, however you'll need a page with biographies, profile photographs, etc.

You'll also need to demonstrate you're a legitimate company - author bylines under each post, display your company address and registration number on your website, etc.

You'll also need to be prepared to contribute at least twice daily.

While hiring freelancers is a great way to start, you can actually make your site look like it has 3 or more authors without hiring anybody.

Simply create different profiles with Pen Names and contribute regularly under each one. Yes, you need the bylines and you need to make everything look professional. Freelancers are a great way to go, if you have money to invest and will save you a ton of time.

If you don't have cash to invest, but you have time and you can write, you can create your own Pen Names and still use this strategy.

Have a reputation for delivering the solution to a customer who has a problem.

You establish this reputation over time so it helps to have delivered outstanding service and product since day one.

The old adage of under promising and over delivering springs to mind.

It is much easier to reduce your marketing costs as a percentage of sales when you have established a solid reputation.

It is is even easier to not worry about reducing your marketing costs but increasing them when you have a solid reputation. This is the secret to exponential growth.

I learnt early on (when I was maybe 14) from my table tennis coach, who also happened to be a hard man debt collector, that it took time and many words to build a reputation and only one word to destroy it.

Invest time in building your reputation for whatever it is you want to be known for and do everything to uphold and honour your reputation and you won't have a traffic or conversion problem.

      Best regards,

      Ozi

Maybe for you, as you seem to jump all over the place and not try any one thing longer than a few days. BUT - for everybody else they work pretty damn well!

The best way is to use Social Media and do it right. You can take the entire year to build up a targeted community on a site like Twitter and end up with a group of people that will give you traffic over and over again.

When done right, Social Media is a long term marketing strategy you can use to gain traffic without spending a ton of cash.

Focus on creating a really good conversion process. Spend a little money on traffic and get those small amount of visitors to convert. Then keep putting your profits back into paid advertising so you can scale up.

No, not PPC, not if you're a PPC newbie. You'd be better off investing in Playboy magazines and vodka.

How best to spend your money on traffic is determined by what you're promoting.

What are you promoting? Failing that, rough idea?

If you want traffic and conversions, you need to start working harder to get them. A heavy focus on PPC is good news. Reverse-engineer their campaigns. It won't be all your competition do, either, so R-E their entire traffic and conversion procedures. If you need to learn how to spy on your competition and R-E them, dig around WF, look beyond WF. The answers are all freely available online. Be sure to step into the Offline Marketing forum, where you'll find plenty of strategies for traditionally offline businesses and plenty of people willing to lend their advice. You have a nice business. You have plenty of competitors just waiting to be taken apart (figuratively). That puts you ahead of the curve in IM.

                Time to dig in, DURABLEOILCOM.

                Cheers,

I've never really paid for traffic, but looked at the sensible ways in which to attract people towards what I have to offer them.

Things that are doing quite well with regards to traffic without having to worry about your budget are Quora. This is like Yahoo answers on steroids and a place if used correctly, can get you a continuous flow of traffic.

Another area I like and people might say is old-rope,but still works is video slideshows of your work via Windows Movie Maker and uploaded to You Tube.

Two places which I've been posting on every day and seem quite good a specific Facebook groups and Google communities relating to my niche.

Create something of so much value that other People will begin talking about it/Blogging about it/etc. and recommending it to their Friends ... Definitely not "easy" however something that often works.

Really a Person should be creating something of great value anyway. (Not only will they make more money ― it will bring them greater satisfaction.)

I have been finding the same problems with social media. One thing that got some good flowing free traffic on Facebook was joining loads of groups. I literally typed in working from home in the search and it presented me will loads of good groups to join. I then just posted via a free auto-poster to each group.

The one thing you will have to watch out for when doing this is joining to many groups at one time. I got blocked when I joined 20 plus groups with in 10 mins. It seems to be a Facebook no no!! So I just do like 10 a day.

Another thing to watch is not to get blocked for spamming. Even though I wasn't spamming I still got blocked for a week as people were reporting me apparently for posting too often to the same group. So you just need to post to fewer groups, make sure it is the appropriate group for your post and make sure your ads are different from time to time.

To be honest I used ToolsStar auto-poster and I kept being put into facebook jail for spamming, so I now just do it manually in the evening whilst watching TV and not had a problem since. You just have to be careful!!

If you have to million dollar sales answer for Instagram then do let me know, as I am crashing down that avenue!!

I want to start with a Quote.

It is easier to make business your passion than to make passion your business.

We are living in a constantly changing internet. Today you may learn and do something and it may become obsolete as soon as you learn that thing and use it to post your content.

But there is one rule on the Internet. And if you understand that rule then the world will beat a path to your door.

    CONTENT IS THE KING.

It is very important to create content just for one person at a time. Write a blog to solve a problem of only one person. Write a Story that will make one person happy. Create a Video that only one person will like.

When you are able to identify your content with one person. Slowly and steadily other people who are exactly like this one person will start looking at your content.

Before you try and master SEO or Keywords and other things. Master Content. Start studying the content that is shared across various platforms. Give your spin but try to create such a content.

Once you master the content then you should start looking at little bit of SEO. Not like an expert just to be aware. At some point you will also need to drive traffic through ads to your content. Most of the youtubers in the league have done that. It gives the initial boost. Once you have subscribers and Views then the organic content takes over.

Remember that all platforms are fighting for one thing MONEY. In that they want to hide everything till someone pays for their content to be seen.

And you can sometimes Game the System to some extent. But unless you learn how to swim with the Tide you will not be able to swim far.

But then you can outwork everyone if you have time. Like a lot of people who put 1 content everyday and then promote on many different channels.

80 Subscribers without doing any Advertising is a very good number. Start thinking how you can double this number. Send a request to your subscribers to ask their friends to join. The subscribers you have are an asset. Keep them entertained so that they do not go anywhere else. If the become your fans then they will start promoting you.

That bring me to becoming a BRAND. Look around and see all the brands we use everyday. We take them for granted. But they created some impact through organic or inorganic way to stand out. We ask for that brand.

So start creating your brand. Add your Website to your Signature in your emails everywhere. When you talk to someone tell them about your website. See if you can get in front of an audience and whatever the topic insert a 30 sec pitch for your website.

There are multiple ways of getting organic views on blog or youtube. But you will have to learn and start thinking how. Off course you will not get a straight answer on any forum. Because it is not possible to explain something on a reply like this.

Hope you get some value out of my rant.

Yes you are absolutely right. Without money, you can invest you time and effort to write on post in the same group interests in Google or FB pages. Each time you posted good content, they would naturally attract good readers and eventually become your fans.

Hi! If you have more time than money to do marketing, then I recommend that you:

-Write a new blog post daily
This has to be a unique and helpful post that people want to share and link back to.

    -Use Pinterest.com
Setup a Pinterest business profile (it´s free) and start pinning useful stuff related to your niche. You can link back to your own site from Pinterest too.

    -PageRankCafe.com
This is a site that gets lots of traffic. Easy to use and will get some signups for your email list.

My suggestion is to put out REAL content, not just purchased articles and such.

Actually help people with good stuff that helps them.

Forums in your niche are good for finding what people want and want to know about.

Seems like your focus is quick money.

I have found that content and building a fan base is more important than the money, because if you build a following the money will follow.

Focus on 1 Social Media avenue...

Whatever social media you enjoy the most focus only on that one and model the people who have the most followers or subscribers

Look into youtube, instagram, facebook. I use those 3 websites and a unique method to generate free traffic that is actually very targeted and is just as good as paid traffic for getting sales. It doesn't cost me anything to generate this traffic and I get as much traffic as I want as long as I put in a little bit of work and use some simple software to automated the rest. Really easy stuff and it's a great way to build up an income to then scale with paid traffic. So start with the big 3.

1.) If you live in the U.S. or a first world country the best advice I can give you is to get a job. If you couldn't afford $5.00 to boost a post then you should really consider a job. I used to wake up at 1:30 in the morning shower and get dressed for work in 15 minutes, get on my laptop and work for 4 hours (no business training, no forums, actual working), leave to go to my job at 6:15 work my job until 7:00 p.m asleep by 8:00 p.m.and I only took 2 days off a week so more time to work & I loved my job btw 15/hr and overtime every week. 30 -40 hours on my business while taking home $ $1,700 every 2 weeks living with my mom. I live in Texas but Originally I am from Jamaica. It is SUPER EASY TO BE A MILLIONAIRE IN THE U.S.**if you have the focus and determination** If you can get a job you only need like $500 extra a month create a $50,000/m business if you have the right knowledge.

2.) I don't do any YT marketing unless I am paying for it but if I were you and I was trying to gain more views on my videos I would just look for creators whether they are in my niche or not that get millions of views on each video. I would sign up for their notifications and when they release a new video put the title of their new videos in my tag. If they release videos daily I would do this everyday. If they release a video I would also release one immediately with a controversial title and use their title and channel name as my tags and in the description link out to similar channels. So implementing this as a marketer I would have a video prepared so for ex: lets say I am making a video about email marketing and Jake Paul launched a new video. I would put the title of his video in the tag, his channel name and link to it, and I would post edit the video so I could talk about his video a little and mention it. Then take a couple hours to make a second video and do the same thing with the tag but instead I would criticize (don't blatantly hate It could backfire) him or something then find some way to tie in my niche. Even though Jake Paul target audience may not be ideal you are getting views from being a suggested a video or next on auto-play. But check this out if you are in the MMO niche a lot people would think that his audience aren't targeted. But is audience wants to be like him, so you could make content for his audience and sell them MMO products even though they are like 13 y/o kids. They buy millions of dollars of his merchandise anyway.

Headline ex "My Parents Were Dead Wrong... or Wish I Didn't Listen to My Parents When I was In High School... My Parents Said You Couldn't Make Money Playing Videos Games, I NEVER Listened Them. 200,000 Twitch Subscribers And $80,000/ month later.... Would You Rather School For 10 Years Or Blow Up On YouTube Like Jake Paul. Everyone's Always Saying Go To School, Study Subjects You Hate And You'll Be Successful. But they are Dead Wrong.

Concerning TOS of how you'd advertise this IDK, ethics could be a grey or even black. But toy manufacturers, and kids movie advertise to kids all the time. I guess it is just about having a strong TOS on your terms page.

Regarding #2 getting more views I am speaking as a YouTube User vs Someone trying to game the system with SEO tactics & social bookmarking. And if possible go off topic a little in your niche, try go mainstream or talk about something trending and try to tie it back to your niche. For ex and I saw a marketer can't remember his name right now, he ran an ad and the video started like this "What do President Obama and Trump have in common?" and he tied it to email marketing. (and check this out, if that YT advice work you could literally turn that one tactic into a $1997/month YT course and also include affiliate marketing training to beef it up, and Ecom Operations aka Merch Stores)

Honestly this isn't something I've done, I think this is how you get in the "Suggested Videos" just from my observation of popular YouTubers outside the MMO Niche.

Show some thanks if you like this post, this went way longer than I intended but I ended up getting an ideas for 2 new courses anyway. Guru and proud

Hi. The best place to promote your herbal products is via FB pages and Google groups of the same interests. Keep posting good articles and testimonials for those who has used it and share their experience.

    1. When someone comments on your youtube video, go and reply to them. A heart option will appear, click on that and then reply to them. When people see that you are active and helping them to solve their problem, then they will ask questions, or try to help the other person. Heart every one of these and reply. The more people do that, the more your videos get found and go viral, but make sure you have the best keywords first.

    2. Reditt.... become an authority on Reditt by giving good advice. In your profile have a link to your facebook page/group and your tubetube channel.

    3. Use canva.com to create the best youtube and facebook covers you can create...all free.

    4. Give facebook people good value on the groups you are with and then create your own group and those people will follow you.

    Hope that helps.

    1.) Follow relevant accounts
    2.) Post regularly
    3.) Use hashtag wisely

The key is the same as the normal marketing concept, you get noticed by your target group. That's why I recommend you to follow others in your Industry. Once you get their attention you will be likely to get followed back. If you got followed back from those irrelevant fields, most of the time they will ignore the post and finally unfollow you.

  • I see a lot of suggestions based on what others have done, yet nobody asked who your target market is. That is the big question you need to answer before you do anything else. You need to know your market and where they are. At that point there will be no need to ask how to get more.

Know your market and their on and offline habits and you'll know where to get more of them.

    Guest Blogging
Posting in facebook groups that allow self promotion, with a link to your blog--never a direct sales page though...
    Instagram

    Become an authority on Quora
    Twitter

    LinkedIn

Provide them with good quality contact and you are golden.

It's very easy to increase your subscribers list.

    Just follow below list.

Step 1: create an awesome Ebook.

Step 2: Give this Ebook for FREE to everyone who subscribe to your blog.

But how to do it effectively?

    Answer is simple....

Add a section called "Download - - - - - Ebook for FREE" and below this title add your sign up form and rename button name with "Download" instead of "sign up".

But where to add this Download section?

It's very easy, you can add this section in

    1) in your blog homepage header.
    2) At start or end of your blog posts.
    3) You can also use it in pop up box (if you are using it)
    4) Also you can add a separate page for it.

    I hope it'll help you.

IMO - Everyone is saying the same thing. If you can't spend money on traffic I would do this. You already have a Facebook page and a youtube channel and a blog. So Here is how to spend your time wisely.

1st On Monday write a killer blog post. Get your inspiration from this forum and answer a question like yours. Make it at least 2000 words and do some keyword research to get targeted visitors through SEO.

2nd On Tuesday Make a video about your blog post and make it interesting, funny and personal then upload to youtube with a link back to your blog which has a lead magnet at the top of the fold as well as a signup form.

3rd On Wednesday Share your blog post on Facebook. Dissect it ito parts and post once a day in various Facebook Groups.

4th On Thursday make it a point to try and build your facebook friends by going to different groups in your niche and adding at least 20 friends. Do this as may days a week as you think of it because you want to build your friends up to the maximum 5,000.

5th On Friday spend time answering comments on youtube and facebook. interact with friends and peers. Facebook has changed but if facebook sees you interacting with your friends they will show your content more. Do a facebook live.

On Saturday and Sunday do what you want. I personally am thinking about what I am going to blog about next week by visiting this forum and answering questions like I am doing now.

So get to work, it isn't rocket science but this is the method I use and I also do solo ads once or twice a month and my email list is growing fast.

    Thank you
My advice and trick I can give are you locate where your audience hang, on a facebook group, Reddit forum if there is any. Post helpful content there like 3 to 5 times, with that people will see you as an expert. make sure your profile is well optimized to portray you as the expert. make sure to provide link and offer a freebie on your profile.

Facebook groups, forums like this one related to your niche and Meetup groups as well.

What you and any other business owners is a network community.

Of not just like-minded people but people who wants to learn from you.

So many Social sharing sites exists in 2018. One of my favorites is TraffUp because sometimes the social sharing sites are hard to learn. They have a confusing coin, hit ratio, set up that makes you wonder if you are on a legit site sometime.

TraffUp is a great way to get:

    Facebook likes
    YouTube views
    Instagram followers and likes
    Website views
    Twitter followers, tweets, and shares.

The website is not confusing at all. The website is free to use and they have an upgrade option as well. The upgrade option is so you do not have to click for points.

Without having to pay for ads is a great way to gain long term followers and traffic. Building an organic following sustains your business for the long haul.

Follow your passion and have natural discussions in forums, blog comments etc. People will share your content and the content your contributing on naturally because they also enjoy the niche/topic you are in. Overtime the backlinks will grow.

Don't be afraid to contribute on various platforms without leaving a link back to your site or social profile. You might end up meeting new friends who will SEEK you out based on your contributions.

    Share information nobody else does.

    Exclusivity does the trick.

And then allow them to consume your content like ravenous beasts.

Be obsessed with your work and others will flock to follow.

Look for a good keyword tool and really study the strongest keywords - high value lowest competition. You need to do some specific keyword training to get the best out of this.
The benefit then is you can write strong articles or build your youtube videos around those keywords. If you find the right keywords anything you write or produce and repurpose will really succeed for you. Pretty much what everything is built on.

So Titles, articles, videos all based on valuable but low contested keywords will give you the greatest chance of getting progress with anything you build. Go well.

I hate to say this. But time is money. You either put in time or money to generate traffic. Either way both are precious.

Hi, your problems sound very familiar to most internet marketers. I do faced these problems and such problems would stay no matter how much you try. Having subscribers to stay with you sound miracle. To me, if they can stay with you for two years, you have done a great job. You must understand, real subscribers are human too. They compare yours content posted with others. So to make sure they stay, you certainly need to post interesting content and to make it interesting, convert such content in video format because there are a lot of people prefer watching than reading plain text. If you want these subscribers stay loyal to you, you have to be consistently post interesting articles every week. Hope it helps.

You are absolutely right Neha. I totally agreed with you. However, consistency plays a very important part as well besides good content. I would like to suggest twice a week, every week. Once you have done that, you would be surprise the numbers of followers with you and most importantly stay with you and share with others too. That's where you find money. Hope it helps.

Get in touch with the influencers in your niche and barter work for traffic. For instance:
    1. Offer to manage their help desk
    2. Offer to create and manage a Facebook group for them
    3. A variation of the last suggestion is to create a Facebook group for an influencer, then get the influencer's permission to put solutions to the influencer's product problems on your own personal wall. That brings the influencer's customers to your wall, where you should ask them to like and comment. This will make your future posts appear on their newsfeed and get you traffic.

Hi, I think a better way to engage with free traffic is creating a facebook fanpage. So long you consistently posting good content and help people to solve their problems, I think they would stay with you and invite their friends. Overtime, you shall have a big group of followers. Hope it helps.
