Fraud in Warrior Forum Market Place

by Gabriel Administrator

here is a quick update of some of the things we have been working on at Warrior

We are working pretty hard to clean the Market Place and one of the things we have started to do it's to Ban Sellers that try to "play with the system"

Creating multiple accounts....
posting fake reviews
artificially creating interest in the WSO...

All those are factors that wins automatically a ban from the forum and the marketplace

Enjoy the quick video update

Ok now here is a question:
I have bought a coaching from a coach months back through another IM forum . Got great success , now i came to know he is here on WF with his sales thread. He asked me for review , I joined the community today to provide review . What to do in this situation? Should i not provide him my honest review even with genuine screenshots?

Considering you only have 4 posts in this group and you just open an account. I recommend you not to post any review

Thank you, for all the efforts you and your team is taking to keep this a safe place.

This will go a long way. I have been to many forums but as far as Internet Marketing is concerned. This is the best.

Thanks for being proactive in preventing this type of abuse. Almost as important, I want to thank you for not trusting it to an algorithm but doing it via humans with brains and reasoning. Too much AI with these types of things. Keep up the great work, this is exactly why people love WF.

Gabriel, I think this is a good move, but I also think it's of vital importance to lay down rule to those vendors who establish a WSO to solicit and hard sell via PM.

The product on offer should be clear, as per the new rules which were established and all questions should be replied to in-thread.

Vendors re-quoting and replying to the same positive reviews to give the impression that they are new is also decieving and could be considered as 'artificially creating interest in the WSO'.

This has been a big problem for years...

      The "bait and switch"

      The $1 call.....

      Answering questions via PM....

I think the WSO rules should explicitly prohibit all of these...

These end up ruining the buyer experience....

Good, maybe this will increase sales for the ones who actually wish to provide value. Having 2 posts and selling a WSO isn't exactly to convincing... Glad to see the Freelancer team making a move on this. The WSO section has lost a lot of momentum and solid sellers (there weren't many to begin with) since the acquisition. Hopefully, this helps.

    Thanks, Gabriel,

As a long-time advertiser here on the Warrior Forum, your recent steps have begun to restore my faith in the validity of spending my ad dollars with you once again. I've pretty much have been away from the forum since Allan Says sold it. It's nice to be back, and I look forward to being active in the forum again.

Thanks for this Gabriel. I'm still new to WF but I've been on many other forums for years and you can tell the fake reviewers a mile off. They really must think we are all stupid. The tell-tale signs include :

    - Lots of 1 or 2 post members suddenly posting glowing reviews
    - Posters inactive for a long time suddenly posting on a WSO thread, then disappearing
    - Posters who leave a positive review then post nothing else anywhere on any forum

In fact, the only thing worse than fake reviews is bought reviews. Some people are buying fake reviews on other marketing forums or Fiverr etc. Let's stamp it out.

The buying of reviews ***was*** disallowed a long, long, long time ago....

Back in the day, there was a ton of "purchased" reviews... One popular "Coach" had all six of his "video reviews" from Fiverr at one point. LOL...

So, when we find a nice bight shinny object with blatantly false "reviews" what is the procedure?

I found one yesterday, too obvious. I did some research, and in private, I suggested he rethink his presentation and remove the false reviews, with the false head shots.

I was called a neurotic old man. Well, my tweenagers and husband thought it was funny!

How is this keeping the market place safe when some sellers only ever respond via PM. This should be outlawed as this is where the scams are hidden from those most at risk of falling for them.

If the offer is genuine and is good enough to be sold then why hide everything in PM's?

I also noticed a seller that hides answers in PM's was banned only to come right back in with the exact same offer under another username and continues to hide answers in PMs.

How is that making the market place more transparent and better and safer if a banned user can just roll right back up again with eh exact same offer and conduct business in the exact same way just with a new user account.

Sorry but I don't understand how it's safer when these things go unchallenged.

You've posted in several WSO threads - and no mention of this. If you have proof, report it. Otherwise, it's an unproven allegation.

If I may add to your list, you may want to be on the lookout for paid 'social proof boosts'

Those are particularly tricky... and effective.
