Selling physical products online

Is it even worth it to sell physical products online anymore? I have dealt with alot of hesitation. People tend to want to "test drive." the products before they buy them and some just have concerns about buying certain things online.
I sell pretty much everything from organic cleaning supplies, to collectables and vehicles.
Vehicles by far are the hardest things to move for obvious reasons.

    Yes.

One way it is easy accessibility to your buyers (local buyers especially) to see your products.

Second who come to your website can get a special discount if they come to your store. The custmers who come to your store will be asked to check your web site/sign up your list to get promotion codes. Kind of encourging your customers to keep in your loop ...

I find it still a viable service. Amongst the many things I do, I sell online high performance auto parts.

I actually had a brick n mortar location for 8 years before bringing it all online(work in process) and closing my physical site down.

The key for me was advertising. Yeah I have some youtube videos and a facebook page to help drive traffic, but a few well placed webiste banners on certain sites worked well for me.

People are buying online, you just have to have good pricing and or service, stand out from your competition, and get your site seen by your target demographic.

    Hi Jon Tees,

I would focus on items they can't find too easily anywhere else. If your prospect could go and find your item on other many other web sites, they may feel they can get a better deal. If you cannot get very unique in demand items, you'll need to focus in on creating more value for your products.

    For example:

If they order this product from YOU, you'll throw in a cool digital product (something related to the physical product) they can download it immediately if they order now.

This will separate you from your competition. But keep in mind that the more unique or "hard to find" your product is, the more they will have to come to you to buy.

    hope that help some
