There's NO competition in the online business of you. NONE.
2017 was my biggest year online and I didn't sell a single affiliate product and I do not operate in the "IM space." I learned from folks like Tony Robbins, and Casey Neistat that there is absolutely no competition when YOU are the business. Again, this isn't for "newbies" and certainly not for you guys who have bank accounts the size of the Rio Grande... but for the guy who has had SOME success and knows there's another level.
Rather than focusing on how to get more traffic and more leads and get more opens to your e-mails and more clicks on those e-mails, try to focus on "where I can offer value where no one else can?"
When you figure out the answer to that question - your bank account changes forever.
If you have made $5,000 online, then you have what it takes to make $500k online. I believe that from the very bottom of my heart. But it's going to take your willingness to BE UNRELENTINGLY YOU!
The BEST and most defensible way to make $500k online is to create and scale the business of you. You are you. You are unique. There are no duplicates of you. No one can "copy" you. If you have a unique experience and / or story, you have a business.
If you struggled to build your dream car in your garage for 17 years, you can outsell any number of the 20 something hobbyists who are equally as good as you because you have a trove of STORIES to offer. 17 years worth!
"This is all still vague TheBigBee... Can you clarify?"
I'll TRY... We all know that e-mail and e-mail relationships and list building = gold. If you are using e-mail marketing to convert sales, you're probably offering a freebie on the front end (ethical bribe), then following up with some value, and intrigue, then making an offer. This pretty much Jeff Walkers' product launch formula in a nutshell.
But we are MISSING one thing... Info is everywhere. When Jeff Walkers' PLF launched it was a different internet world that Jeff is not adjusting to quickly enough...
Free info is everywhere. Someone could have signed up for your list on Monday, gotten your freebie and somehow stumbled into all the info you're offering for sale on Tuesday. Except, they got it all for free... What do you do? How do you compete?
Simple - be UNIQUELY you and make no apologies for being you and "package" yourself so as to offer unrelenting value to that potential customer.
I don't offer people any "freebie" for signing up anymore.
My free content is publicly available and you don't have to sign up to my list to get it. I put my free content right on the landing page where you sign up. It's right there in the form of embedded videos.
Instead, I am offering you further glimpses into me and the possibility of joining my community in exchange for signing up. Let me repeat. I'm not offering you "here's some free thing, please give me your e-mail and I'll send it over..."
I'm saying "yeah, I'm good at X and I teach people X, but I really want to talk to you about Y and invite you into the community to discuss."
Let that sink in...
YOU know I am good at X because you have consumed a few hours of my free content and I say "give me your e-mail for more free info about X," vs. my saying "all the X you want for free is on the page but I really want to talk to you about Y and invite you to join the community."
Which offer are YOU choosing? My on page conversion rates have gone from 40% to 54%. My e-mail open rates have increased and yes, sales have increased...
I'm in a niche where people don't "evangelize" much. It's kind of like if I taught you where to find a ton of gold. You won't go out and share that with the world like "lots of gold over here!"
HOWEVER, if I make a great painting that you connect with, you're much more likely to share. "Look at this awesome painting!"
That's kind of an obtuse analogy but the best I could think of off the top of my head. Point being, my HAPPIEST customers have ZERO incentive to share their success stories because they want all the gold to themselves. By giving them something else of value they are now able to say "this guy is cool" and I don't have to worry about them NOT evangelizing my product.
Just something to ponder... The world and internet is changing and we must adjust. I'm constantly searching for that NEXT level... Thanks for listening.
