Hey Everybody, Sandy here...

I just came across this new and very cool tool.

Have you heard about the latest FTC ruling that
all Bloggers, Internet/Affiliate Marketers have to abide by
if they don't want to get in a world of legal trouble?

Well, I've been doing some research today, and ran
across this "Disclosure Policy Generator".

I have not tried it yet, so no 'endorsements' are being made here

So, if you fit into these categories:
Blogger/Affiliate Mkg/Internet Mkg

It would probably be a good idea just to see what this is.

Good luck, please come back here and
let me know what you think of it.

I'd like to see some examples of how it's being used.
Here It Is: DisclosurePolicy.org: Disclosure Policy, Disclosure Policy Generator

Thanks everybody,
Sandy

  • Thanks Sandy,

I posted about this a couple times too, now buried in some of the long FTC threads here.
Good you made a separate thread.

I tried it and it seems really good. Even though my situation is very different and I sometimes blog about sponsors and clients that I guess I need to provide disclosure about... I found it gave me lots of good basic wording I just will need to modify a little.
  • It's nice a little tool to generate your disclosure policy.

    Thank you for sharing.
  • Very cool, I thought one of these might be coming out soon

    • Hey Sandy, thanks. This will make updating my sites for the FTC December 1st deadline much easier!

  • Hey Sandy,

Thats an awesome find! I'll definitely be using that in the future.

Is anyone here a lawyer type person and can confirm that it conforms with the FTA ruling and complies???

  • I think this is a monumentally bad idea. I wouldn't use this generator for any reason.

  • Having trouble getting it to generate a policy with it seems to get stuck on last step.
Anyone have a solution or another similar generator I can use?
