Cannot Turn Off Suggested Videos When I Embed A Youtube Video

Hi Everyone,

I created a landing page with an unlisted youtube video of mine in it but I cannot get it to stop showing suggested videos at the end.

I also tried adding the ?rel=0 at the end and nothing.

Did Youtube change their rules on this?

Thanks

Ken

Try clearing your internet browser's Cookies and Cache. And then reload your page to check on the video.

I went through something similar a few weeks ago - and thought the same thing but then I cleared my cookies and cache and saw the video settings changed.

    Hope this helps!

Let us know if it this was the problem!

      Hi Freedom,

I just tried that and still the same result.

I even unchecked the 'show suggested videos when the video finishes' under 'share' >> 'embed' and it come back checked every time I reload the page!

      So frustrating.

        Weird.

May I see the embed code you are using?

Let's see what is really going on.

Yes please let see the code you are using. You can edit the YouTube id if you don't want to share your video.

Is your problem on all videos or just the one you are referring to?

This is what your embed code should look like. This one works btw.

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Gyk55GYnGl0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Test this script as is. If OK replace the Youtube ID with your own. Does it still work?

You have to unchecked the proper box in the sharing section of that video in YouTube before copying the code and pasting it on your page.

You definately have to go to the settings of the video.

or try to re-upload it and set is private with no mentions in suggested videos again.

    Hey Everyone,

Thank you for the helpful replies. So my landing page builder is Thrive Themes and it only wants the URL of the video in the page...not the embed code. Does that make a difference?

I also have the video as 'Unlisted'.

Oh okay. That's it then. That is the problem.

I had the same problem when using the Plugin Protif Builder for WordPress. There is nothing you can really do if you are not using the embed code.

Try to use the embed code instead of just the URL - if possible.

      See this KB artcle

      https://thrivethemes.com/tkb_item/us...ion-shortcode/

You need to check the do not show related videos option. In the same way as when you do in YouTube for the embed code.
