How would you market a mobile app?

Think it's been almost 10-15 years since I was on this forum. Awesome that it's still around.. As you can see I'm a little out of the loop. In the last week I started working on a mobile app... last night I tossed together a basic website (propertyprospect.net), and MailChimp list to try to start marketing my real estate app. I know good and well times have changed, SEO is not what it was in the early 2000's, and I highly doubt Google Adwords is as well. I need to build thousand if not tens of thousands of subscribers, installs, users, etc.. You know the drill.. How would you go about it in today's market?

I'm leaning towards just using my own landing pages, MailChimp, and advertising on Adwords and Facebook, plus some social marketing I've already been doing in the real estate space. Maybe roll my sleeves up start using affiliate marketing. Anyways, figured I would drop in and ask what would be your, do this/not that, list to promote this app in today's market?

Best,
Levi

  • Hi Levi,

You are on the right track for promoting your mobile app. I suggest you also have your own working website (not just a landing page) so you can add more content to the pages and you can do more with marketing such as SEO and social media campaign.
