So what is new since 2008

I'll try and keep this short

In 2008 I created 4 or 5 blogs for fun, only one really had any traction...gd SERP and one really gd link that brought in decent traffic. I tested google adsense a few days here and there and it seemed like it would generate about $250 a month adsense. Well I decided that I was gonna get serious and then BAM a google update hit me and I lost my great link. I lost about 80% of my traffic and slowly let the blog die

Fast forward 2018 and I feel like taking another swing


Recently I picked up the expired .com name of the blog I mentioned above, my blog was .net. It is a decent keyword domain which someone let expire.


I'm considering two options

rebuild my blog on the .com I picked up, I have a ton of content to do this but it seems adsense sure isn't what it used to be and the subject matter lends itself best to adsense income

2) I'm thinking of doing the local thing....building a site offering help/consulting to local businesses.

It seems SEO for local keywords do not get a ton of searches but I guess its highly targeted

So my thoughts are:

Build SEO optimized site
Add blog
Add video tutorials
Add social media


I am clueless on social media and videos so not sure....Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....There is a ton of great knowledge on this site....I use to visit daily...had create a new id as I even forgot it lol
