    Hey ejoka1986,

Document sharing sites are a good way to get traffic but the issue is that you have to optimise the document you are sharing to be SEO friendly in order to be able to rank in the search engines.

I have tried this with an offer on JVzoo and surprisingly started making a few sales though the only place I uploaded the document is slideshare and the sales came from slideshare. Also, the document got shared by others as well on slideshare. This happened late last year.

For that to happen, you need to write a reasonable document that adds value and needs to be properly optimised in title and in the document for the keyword you are targeting in order to rank because slideshare documents do rank on the search engines, and if that happens, you get free traffic...

    I hope this helps....

Do you use PowerPoint slides as your content format, or are you typing up your content in MS Word and uploading them to slide share?

Yes, you can promote affiliate links inside PDFs with document sharing sites. But you will have far more successful if you direct the traffic to a squeeze page.

Document sharing sites are a good source to promote certain things, but you have to be very strategic about it. There are a ton of them. I remember using them and if done correctly they can bring traffic. The key is finding the ones that actually get traffic or get indexed in search engines. For instance try using the search tag FILETYPEDF and see if certain items come up. See if the file sharing site you want to use is listed at all for any PDF file. If not then this can be an issue. Once again the key to all of this is actually getting your files seen my real visitors.

This is a good thread with some worthwhile information.

I use Slideshare with good results- some of my articles on there have receive thousands of visitors.

Would Warriors like to say which document sharing sites they get the best results with - this could save us time from posting to those that produce little traffic?

    All the best

I have seen some people already using document sharing sites for ClickBank. They upload eBooks with affiliate links.
