Inexpensive affiliate network for merchants?

I have an ecommerce site I'd like to attract affiliates to.

As an affiliate I like the statistics reporting in shareasale, CJ, and postaffiliatepro, but these are all expensive to start and have monthly minimums. I'm not confident I could generate enough income through affiliates to make it successful.

The affiliate software modules for my ecommerce platform are lousy as far as statistics go. I've used bad ones as an affiliate, and I know what a turnoff it is, as well as the aspect of tracking software you have no reason to trust as much as shareasale or CJ.

I've heard that you pretty much need a dedicated affiliate manager because affiliates require a ton of hand holding, aside from the rare superstar affiliates. Is this true?

You could pay a one time fee and use iDevAffiliate

Of course, $199 might be "expensive" to you as a one time fee. Everybody has a different definition of "expensive" in this business.

The idevaffiliate fee would be ok, but the reporting is very limited. It won't even give you the option to add up totals for a specified date range.

I can share with you few some are even less than $100 but I want you to keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The network you mentioned are expensive, but some of that goes into protection. ShareAsale from my point of view is considered the best cheap for general type of affiliate programs since they have a lot of quality affiliates, and lowest rate. CJ you getting way higher quality but cost is outrages.

If you have a given niche, I recommend to join an affiliate network niche (like avantlink) for sport, etc.

You are right I have always been against launching local affiliate programs unless you are a big brand in the size of apple
